@@olianims Its only really good if you buffer it behind normals, and that would require you to have good roundstart options against the character you are facing anyway, but it def makes neutral scary cause any stray hit is a full combo, and even if you block the normal you are now in pressure
With this update I'm just afraid to see what maniacal things Faust players can figure out. Giving them the ability to know what throwable they can use is a dangerous thing in the right hands. Not to mention, he has the funny banana that crashes the game now. In a sense he's the only character with an insta kill!

Johnny feels incredibly underpowered. Why MF doesn't beat projectiles? Why is his dash not jump cancelable? Why MF(K) doesn't go fullscreen? Why turn up doesn't level up MF? Why is mist canceling so slow and not plus? Why Joker trick doesn't end the match? Why is he not undisputed top 1 and top 2 instead? He really needs buffs
Season 3 has changed SO MUCH MORE than I ever thought it would. I play Chipp and at first the nerfs hit me more than I'd have liked, those damage changes are real weird and 6k is so slow now, but Wild Assault is such a TERRIFYING combo tool that within a few minutes of testing I was able to find an easy neutral into wall break combo using a relatively basic combo setup that I've been using since I started. It's a... *wild* combo tool and I can't wait to see what someone who actually knows how to make combos can do with such a crazy new attack. Deflect Shield is more simple and I haven't looked into it yet, but once I remember to actually use it in a real match I imagine it'll be a great tool in defense. As for Johnny... eh. I play Chipp, I don't think I just run towards my enemy with complete disregard for logic and just throw whatever BS I possibly can at them. Johnny's a badass character and in the right hands is gonna be terrifying to fight, but the playstyle just ain't for me. Just Lean is a banger though, already one of my personal favorite DLC themes. And the lyrics aren't completely undecipherable like The Gravity either!

Imo Johnny is the first truely stylish character in strive. Basically every character can look insanely cool but just the way Johnny is animated and combos makes him reek style.
I like that Just Lean keeps up momentum the whole time. Trans, so I'm obligated to like Town Inside Me it's in the contract, but it stops so hard that it literally does the drumstick thing to start again so it doesn't work as background noise for me. Just Lean doesn't have any moment I feel's 'great' but I respect that the whole thing feels 'good'.

This video is great for me. Bought the game yesterday and this is helping me learn things that didn't exist around the time several of the beginner videos I've watched were made.
Johnny is badass. I main pot so it feels so good to have range AND speed. It's liberating. Plus his reversal super is just a pot buster so I don't have too much of an issue with execution or judging range
Also I want to point out a bug for Axel, if you use any of his other colors, the color of the Sickle arcs are unchanged unlike most if not all other characters
I love wild assault, because I can combo it into most moves, including ults, and you can even RRC wild assault. It's one of my favorite universal mechanics added

He's been my main since he came out because to me he is the most fun character in the game but I've seen people who say that "he's a waste of a character slot". So that's why I make this joke in season 3 lol

I love ggst, i have about 170 hours sunk into it, but through the games whole run i have never found "the one" in terms of a character i both enjoy and want to learn the intricacies about. The closest was anji, with pot bed and leo right behind, but all of them just kinda dont hit the way i want them to. So i really hope someone comes along and it givea me that break i need to do my own "getting good" run.

The first hit air 236h isnt just a hard knockdown, its the same special tumble combo state so it is a hard knockdown but if done right you can pick it up further by doing Sfiner immediately after landing
The burst mechanics make me actually wanna play strive because it used to be too similar to Xrd so I didn't find any reason to play strive when I could be playing Rev2 and doing dustloops. It now really feels like a new Guilty Gear, and not a new version like X to XX
Some Fun Facts about Joker's Trick: Each character gets a unique card before it turns into the Joker and Johnny slashes it, and Johnny will say a line depending on whether or not his opponent is male or femlae, with a few characters getting unique lines. HC's card is the Joker, i don't remember what card she gets, but i know that Bridget gets the female voice line, so Johnny's an ally confirmed, Johnny calls May "A cute kid" in her voice line, Potemkin gets called "Macho Man", Testament gets called "Fashionista", and Sol gets the Queen of Clubs as his card, a reference to him being several references to Freddy Mercury and Queen in his character.
This is your season dude, 1st they give you Johnny and then they buff Anji and made Giovanna intresting ? Bruh. Hell even I love the way this season is shaping despite the Zato nerf but between the new mechanics, the Testament buffs and JOHN GUILTY GEAR this might be the best time to play the game.

It's definitely a skill issue on my part but I feel that some of Johnny's attacks are... really slow on start up.
His normals excluding F.S, C.S, and 2k are super slow
