Out of everything in this game, the spiders probably freak me out the most. even if I'm totally equipped to deal with them, I avoid those caves like the plague.

I’m doing this right now it’s my first expert mode play through as well. I made sure to add a little gap in the walls on the surface to make a side mission of liberating the surface world of the spiders as like a secondary mission besides beating the game.

There is another challenge you can make: -Start a new world -Teleport to the underworld -Kill Wall of Flesh and take all the blocks/loot. -Start a new character there. Good luck starting out in hardmode.
Actually it's a pretty interesting scenario to play with some sort of op mod. Free the world from the monsters, you have to fight against invasions, bosses, etc. to gain parts of the PwnHammer 9000. Combine them on the artificially crafted altar in the centre of the world. And use it to destroy the walls (it destroys a solid amount of the walls around you, and has limited uses) Single use spawns a wave of enemies at you, and if you die, they "recapture" whatever you've destroyed. A couple of twists here and there and it would be a very interesting scenario.
And , if your guide dies , hes DED forever. Which means you need to beat Hardmode with out the guide. Possibly he could die in the pre-hardmode. Which means your on your own.

I'm currently doing my first Overhaul playthrough; taking advantage of the fire system to burn all spider nests on sight to make quick looting in search of webbed chests easier
Pro tip: all boss related entities (destroter segments, skeletron hands, hungries) as well as boss entities themselves take up 5 spawn slots each. If leaving spawn slots open means deadly spiders spawning from the corners of your screen, then i reccomend keeping at least 3 boss entities alive at once so you never have any other... annoyances... to attack you midfight.
Terraria spiders are genuinely one of the scariest things in games for me. I have really bad arachnophobia and the first time I found a spider biome I exited Terraria and couldn't bring myself to play on that world again.
I use TerraMap when creating worlds for basically the sole purpose of finding a hellevator spot that doesn't intersect a spider biome. My first world had spider biomes everywhere, so I built the hellevator in the only place where it couldn't cross one nearby, and now it goes through a glowing mushroom biome... with a significant amount of cobwebs directly to the right.

I have to share my opinion here. The scenery of the world, the good commentary, the great jokes, and the amazing music and sound makes this video probably the best Terraria video I've ever seen!

This legitimately terrifying. No fucking light. You gotta blindly crawl around with the faint hope to find a torch, a coin, a glowstick, *ANYTHING* that can keep you going. Not only is it terrifying when you think about it, it's also probably hard as all hell since no matter where you go, you are going to be hunted down by spiders in the ever encompassing darkness. Living underground seems like the only real way to survive, and only if you cover *EVERY CONCEIVABLE INCH* with something to ward them off. Very well done video, Crab. I'm tempted to attempt this nightmarish and endless night, to glimpse into the pain and fear this must wrought.

Dude, I literally did the opposite thing while starting a terraria world. I literally removed all the spider walls in the world and still couldn't bring myself to go mining.
Even in other games with realistic spiders, for some reason the Terraria ones have scared me more than any other besides the real thing. Maybe its part of why I always choose corruption over crimson...

Pro tip: all boss related entities (destroter segments, skeletron hands, hungries) as well as boss entities themselves take up 5 spawn slots each. If leaving spawn slots open means deadly spiders spawning from the corners of your screen, then i reccomend keeping at least 3 boss entities alive at once so you never have any other... annoyances... to attack you midfight.

Terraria spiders are genuinely one of the scariest things in games for me. I have really bad arachnophobia and the first time I found a spider biome I exited Terraria and couldn't bring myself to play on that world again.
I use TerraMap when creating worlds for basically the sole purpose of finding a hellevator spot that doesn't intersect a spider biome. My first world had spider biomes everywhere, so I built the hellevator in the only place where it couldn't cross one nearby, and now it goes through a glowing mushroom biome... with a significant amount of cobwebs directly to the right.

I have to share my opinion here. The scenery of the world, the good commentary, the great jokes, and the amazing music and sound makes this video probably the best Terraria video I've ever seen!

Mostly what I feel, whatever was heard and seems to fit in situation or rhythm. It does expand into listening to sound library or other games' ost in search for specific track, but somewhat rarely

This legitimately terrifying. No fucking light. You gotta blindly crawl around with the faint hope to find a torch, a coin, a glowstick, *ANYTHING* that can keep you going. Not only is it terrifying when you think about it, it's also probably hard as all hell since no matter where you go, you are going to be hunted down by spiders in the ever encompassing darkness. Living underground seems like the only real way to survive, and only if you cover *EVERY CONCEIVABLE INCH* with something to ward them off.
Very well done video, Crab. I'm tempted to attempt this nightmarish and endless night, to glimpse into the pain and fear this must wrought.

5 minutes in I finally realized why this video seems so original, outside of the spiders, there's not any obnoxious British guy's voice
This just makes terraria feel like a horror game before you get a good supply of lights, it’s just so dark.

Dude, I literally did the opposite thing while starting a terraria world. I literally removed all the spider walls in the world and still couldn't bring myself to go mining.

Even in other games with realistic spiders, for some reason the Terraria ones have scared me more than any other besides the real thing. Maybe its part of why I always choose corruption over crimson...
