  • In this short video clip, the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa speaks about the destruction by the Mongolian invading army in Tibet of Kagyu monasteries, shedras and study communities, as well as that of Drugpa Kagyu, Jonang and other lineages.
Although not explicitly mentioned by the `7th Karmapa, most Tibetology scholars and historians now state this destruction and violence was done with the full support/backing of the Gelugpa/5th Dalai Lama who were then made the spiritual rulers of Tibet by the Mongolian invaders. The Dalai Lama is a Mongolian title. In fact, the Tibetan King of Tsang was brutally executed by the Mongolian invaders/newly instituted Gelugpa government, three months after his imprisonment, and the 10th Karmapa was kicked out of his monastery and forced to live in a cave like a pauper for many years, unable to return to his homeland, until just before he passed away.
