Respect how Tentoglou was telling the crowd to calm down knowing that his opponent had 1 more jump left and that it wasn't over
Also, the calm down is the respect for his opponent! They are both athletes not haters! Miltiades' character is moderate. Sometimes is getting angry with himself and his mistakes, never to the other competitors- athletes or wishing bad luck for them! Before the final said that he wants to be the gold in the area of 8.50s and if he's not the winner its ok for him.

Τhe last jump of Miltos was gorgeus. He made a tecnhical mistake of his left foot that landed first about 20cm from his body. Mabe because his feet were already tired. Thats why he was unhuppy after the jump. But the speed and the flying were so excellent, that one 8.70m jump couldnt count less than 8.52m. Well done Miltos, now go for a big record!

He said that in his last jump he made a mistake and held his foot , his landing wasnt good . That jump was going to be maymbe 8.70 and he will never forget this mistake.

The guy could challenge the world record if he fixes his landing. In most of his jumps he bends his left leg for the landing making him lean to the left and loose at least 20cm. If you see in slow motion his right foot landed beyond the WR marking. Pinnock for example has a perfect landing where he extends both his legs forward upon landing. If Miltos fixes that we’ll see incredible things from him.

I felt anger before the last jump, he explained afterwards..
Miltiades finds big jumps when he is pushed. This is good for winning tournaments. Shows he is a mentally tough fighter.
However if he wants to go 8.80 or above, something we all think he is capable of, he needs to bring out this ''anger'' from within and use it all the time.
In an other event that Militiades won, said that his girlfriend made him angry of something personal between them, and burst out in the tournament.
He also said that he was disappointed with his last jump because he put his feet down early (edit: I think that's what he meant) and that it could have been longer. He specifically said that it would have been around 8.70.

Heard some of his interviews and I can only say that this guy, apart from being a great athlete, he is also a massive paradigm for young people because his ethics go through the roof and his mind set and focus should be taught in schools. If the mind is strong, expect miracles.

He was actually disappointed after the jump and he immediately held his hands on his head.
The reason was that, he said he left his foot down very early which cost him around 20cm.
He said "i was so dissapointed because that was an 8.70m jump but instead it was an 8.52!
