I love how Ryan, the main character, was supposed to be a professional Baseball player too and yet he ran out of breath in two seconds.
This protagonist makes sebastian castellanos from the evil within (he runs out of stamina fast too) look like cross country athlete.

Bruh this game is so frustrating 😭 from the lack of ammo, cant swing the bat, cant sprint for long, cant hide once the grey see you, etc etc. Props to ryan for keep playing the game though
Is this the same game where the alien looks like its giving you head when you're getting captured?
Not to mention that each conversation overlaps with each other, also the fact the game feels and looks like it was rushed.

Horror games shouldn't be too hard because if you die over and over again it removes all the suspense. Dying stops being scary and starts being annoying. You stop dreading the enemies and start dreading replaying the same section over and over again.
Luckily, as a viewer I get to sit back and enjoy Ryan's entertaining commentary no matter the quality of the game.
didn't they tell him to use cars to hide and not houses? I feel like there is a mechanic that he isn't using and that's understandable since we saw the farmer had his tractor broken into.
@@SC-cx9tiit was easy to miss that information and plus why the houses then have the hiding spots, and to add another point cars are out in open, if you try hiding in car the aliens will just see from far away already so there's no point hiding in vehicle

the fact is we're watching an edited video, so I can just imagine the pain of having to play that, ammo was sparse, dialogue was overlapping and the subtitles didn't match, hiding wasn't an option and neither was running away, there wasn't enough character building so these people just disappeared and no one really cared... the story was very VERY zig zagged, and we never actually got to see the end product of the story.

What an absolute train wreck of a game.
The Grey's pathing definitely needs fixing also different weapons and more ammo should be scattered in houses that way you have more of a reason to actually go in the homes in the first place.
Its a shame this game was such a let down. I was super excited for this one as well when it first got announced but seeing the final product is a shame to see. Thank you though Ryan for a great video as always!
The game is a confused mess with a plot that makes no sense, no checkpoints, no weapons, no speed from aliens, stupid plot, stupid characters and an overall rushed game I’m very upset same as you I thought it might have been a cool heroic game which it wasn’t it was an opposite of a power fantasy

I’m gonna be honest and I don’t mean this in a mean way, I find intros kinda cringe (like Corykenshin, markiplier, etc).
It gives me second hand embarrassment for some reason, idk why.

Couldn't agree more with your review! This is why playtesting is so important. Yes they are patching the game now but it's really embarassing to have a day one like this. And honestly I don't see patches really changing the overall game too much, yes the gameplay will be better but you can't fix the writing and the ending in post. Such a disappointment.

A lot of potential for a good game here if...
You could actually hide from the hyper determined aliens
Added a map system or in world marker, I felt like the entire time ryan was just wondering around aimlessly looking for a easily overlooked objective.
Faster movement speed in general, being able to run longer than two seconds.
Defined playstyle, having the choice to sneak around and look for supplys or bash down doors guns blazeing. Having multiple different solutions for problems.
Story felt like your doing a bunch of random fetch quests
Definitely more ammunition or weapon types would nice, given the setting you'd think there'd be more or at least a old service rifle and a few magazines in the soldiers house.
All that said it still looks like a good bit of fun!

What this should have been was Silent Hill X Outlast X Alien Isolation. The world should be a normal town turned unsettling and creepy from the alien’s invasion. The mechanics should be more in line with AI where enemies that appear are immediately dangerous. You DONT want to fight them but will if you must. Item crafting for luring the enemy away, stunning them, scaring them off,(if the aliens decide(cuz they can chose to or not) to create to create weak enemies Saibamen style), healing for damage against the weak enemies or the traps the aliens create, tools to disarm alien traps, etc. The tools get better and stronger as the game goes on as the enemy gets better stronger and smarter using more advanced tools like traps that stun you for longer, the ability to summon more enemies that are stronger and smarter, etc. You aren’t able to kill the enemy like in outlast. Your goal is largely to avoid with the weaker enemies spawned by the aliens having a time limit before they die as them being part alien/part terrestrial causing immense pain to the creature.

One thing i noticed when seeing so many lets plays of this game is how many people dont use common sense. You use the baseball bat to knock em down to give you some space, usually 3 bonks knock em down for a few seconds giving you time to hide. Second is that you gotta use common sense that if the alien is only 5 meters away from you or in line of sight you cant hide from em. Am i the only one who sees whats wrong here or am i just crazy? I feel like this should be common sense.

Ryan, I know this game was not what what it was expected to be, however as rare as alien horror games are, there is 1 more that is in production called “war of the worlds”. The CZcams channel that is recording its progress is called “war of the worlds game”. It has a lot of high hopes surrounding its development and I would highly recommend you follow its progress as I have and play when it comes out

I really hate this game due to the fact that the characters are just skipping peoples conversation and Ryan is the only one panicking while everyone else is calm and focused and not afraid of the alien situation like they are aliens or ex-military
