Jessica: working on her business and prioritize her business while SNSD is still actively promoting,
Tiffany, Seohyun, Sooyoung: Put snsd first before anythimg else and venture into their solo “business” if u want to call it that way ONLY after their contract are over w SM.
THERE U GO PPL, THAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JESSICA AND THE OTHER MEMBERS. God move on guys... JESSICA AND THE GIRLS ARE HAPPY AT WHERE THEY ARE RIGHT NOW. Stop bringing up about the past and support the girls, be happy for them.

@isowon She missed tonnes of behind the scene schedules. You can literally look at all her whereabouts based on social media and airport pictures. She was barely in korea, and was literally away for a whole entire month and only back on the day of Shenzhan FM. She left for a reason.

I believe missing schedules =/= public performances only. They all have practices and discussion/meetings to attend. Perhaps that was why it happen. But I also got to say, as time changes, the company’s stand might change, for the better. On surface we may not see the 9 girls interacting with one another but you never know. The same bridge that Tiff Soo Seo use could also extend to Jess if they really work it out. I have seen a boy band (energy) from Taiwan got tgt on their 10th or 15th anniversary, 1 left in their early days due to contract and they weren’t on speaking terms on screen. But they were actually keeping in touch all these years. So it doesn’t hurt to keep a little hope for ot9. Before it happens let’s just support the girls in their ventures.

She doesn't hate SM or anything. She probably just wants to go back to the US, learn acting and do acting, do her solo activities that SM may not be the best place to do so. In fact, all three SNSD members must have left SM on good terms because they are allowed to call themselves 'SNSD' and they'll still be doing future activities together (as 8). In fact, Tiffany included Shinee's song in her 'Morning Wake Up' playlist so she is still friends with many of her labelmates and members. In fact, SM includes the 3 members under 'SNSD' in their website and their museum. Afterall SM has also gifted her a group she loves and many things.

I'm really proud of Tiffany! Glad she is living her dreams!
As far as Jessica is concerned (long post ahead), let's talk about FACTS. Tiffany herself announced that Jessica was going to work on a fashion line at kcon 2014 (Look up KCON 2014 Red Carpet) and everyone else was going to be doing their own thing as well. So Jessica wouldn't be the only one who was inactive; it was all of them. Tiffany spoke of TTS' comeback (Holler) and also showed support for Jessica designing, as well as YoonA's new movie, SooYoung's drama premiere, etc. During the show (I was there), at one point Jessica left the stage (fans were going to sing ITNW) and then returned and fans could definitely tell that she had been crying. She cried through Gee but did a good job of holding it in and by the time the show was over and the idols were waving at the audience, she was okay. Idk if they argued backstage between songs or what but she was UPSET over something. ANYWAY, KCON 2014 happened in August, and Tiffany announced on the Red Carpet that everyone (including SM), supported Jessica's business decision. However, Jessica was removed from SNSD a little over a month later; in September. Fact: So within one month, things fell apart; evidence tells us that Jessica was removed very suddenly, which is likely why she lashed out and was so shocked.
More evidence that Jessica was removed suddenly: #catchgg (the video is still up on SM's channel) was supposed to be SNSD's CMIYC campaign leading up to their Tokyo Dome concert as 9 and the release of CMIYC was supposed to be a farewell (?) to Japanese activities (whether it was a temporary or permanent end of SJJD, no one really knows). This is why fans saw the leaked version of the MV with Jessica in it and why SNSD had to rerecord the MV. This is also why in the Indestructible MV, the video starts with, "Thank you! We have one last gift for you!" It was likely supposed to be the last song released before Tokyo Dome promotions began (Divine, CMIYC, and the unreleased Chain Reaction "new" song).
Did you notice that during the Tokyo Dome performance, Sunny got particularly emotional during ITNW? Why? I imagine she was experiencing a number of emotions but the most likely reason is that it's because performing ITNW brought back a lot of memories for her; she was right next to Jessica during the entire debut MV. In almost every scene, she and Jessica were spray painting the wall. Her debut is literally TIED to Jessica, more so probably than any other member. I think it really hit her that Jessica was out of the group. Even the spacing in their dance formations during ITNW @ Tokyo Dome signifies that they never intended to perform that song as 8 members. It was supposed to be a 9 member version.
And while we'll never truly know what happened between SNSD and Jessica, I honestly think that SNSD's image never fully recovered from Jessica being kicked out because SNSD as 9 was what propelled them to being the global sensations that they are. It wasn't SNSD as 8, 5 or 1. It was NINE. ALL NINE made SNSD who they are. And all nine collectively are why they are considered Legendary.
So am I bitter that Jessica is no longer in the group and that the girls pretend like she doesn't exist? Hell yes, I am. Do I hate SNSD, Tiffany, or any other member because of it? No, I don't. I think kicking Jessica out was a huge mistake but in the process of her being removed, I think she, just like Tiffany, Taeyeon, Seohyun, Sunny, YoonA, Hyoyeon, Yuri and Sooyoung has truly found her own identity apart from SNSD.
The last thing I will say is that friends grow apart. That's life. I wish I could say that my best friend when I was 17 or 18 is still my best friend to this day but that's simply not true. People change, dreams can change too. As SONEs, let's support our girls as they attempt to do what many women in not just SK's entertainment industry but the worldwide entertainment industry haven't been able to accomplish; have lasting careers in music and entertainment, despite not being "teens" or what the public considers "young." They gave us the end of their teens and most of their 20s and for that, I'm forever grateful.
    Right now, tomorrow, forever it's SNSD (as 9, 8, 5, or 1)

just want to add that sm themselves said she was "leaving" after one more album, except snsd didn't promote as a group after their 5th album promotions until 2017. so why would jessica have been planning to leave all along when they were all inactive at that point. but yea i agree with everything you said. it sucks to see so many people abandon jessica like that. since 2007 they were known as NINE. taeyeon said a few months before 9.30 that all nine members talked about how they wanted to be in snsd until they were ahjummas. but then a few months later she's kicked out. like krystal said, no one understands the pain jessica went through. she cried non stop. and yet she is constantly villianized.

I find it funny how people are Judging Jessica for starting a business while being in SNSD but when it comes to Seungri (he’s my bias) of Big bang it’s fine. Missing a couple practices doesn’t mean you don’t want to be in the group any longer. Yes, juggling both a business and singing in a group is hard but it is possible. SM just kicked her out as a control tactic because they can’t control the money she makes from her business. SM is the same company that screwed over TVXQ, EXO, F(X), and others. There is no group they have that didn’t have at least one member leave on bad terms. Jessica was not even my bias, Sunny is my bias, but I hate how people treat Jessica as a result of her leaving. A lot of you forget Jessica was the first of all the members to even be a trainee for SM. So really she was with them 14 years if you count her trainee time. The fact that they couldn’t extend the same courtesy to Sica that they did to Tiffany is disgusting. Did she do someting bad? No, but we can´t do anythig to change the fact that she left.

She TRIED balancing it but in the end she missed a lot on SNSD's activities. That is why she got kicked out. You know how is posible that all BB members have business, but they still do their solos and group activities? Because they are free to do the shit they want. And thats why BB its still together.
SNSD didnt deserve this, but all the members who left knew that SM was no longer the label that will help them to get where they wanted. SM wanted money, SNSD its the money maker, so for them there was no hiatus or a lot of solos because that is less money. We all know thats how business works

Imagine this, 8 members and tons of crew, audio, lighting, managers, backstage, makeup, etc all waiting for this girl to turn up but she didn't because she was elsewhere doing something she deemed more important. Do you think as an organisation like SM, this will be forgiven so easily? Yes you are right, they should have been able to do their solo things AND BE THERE FOR THE GROUP being the key. But she wasn't there for the group.

It's easy saying that, but actually putting it on paper is hard, SNSD promotes each year for the whole year, they travel to 2 countries in a span of 24 hours while performing and recording constantly. The one thing SNSD has over every Kpop group is consistency. You have to account for the fact that they have been doing that for nearly 10 years, I'm sure anyone would get tired of doing something, that yes you love to do, but have no power over it. SM pushes their artist to their highest potential that's why they have the biggest groups in Kpop.
Tiffany left, because she wanted to do her thing because she has been doing a group activity with an agenda for 10 years and so did Jessica. Just because Jessica did something for herself doesn't mean she abandoned her duties as a member.
The main problem was they never had a hiatus during their time, One Direction went on hiatus after 7 years, not to say SNSD worked harder, but they did. They had language barriers they didn't reach the masses It wasn't as easy as it was being One Direction, who would release a song that can reach the entire world where as SNSD would release an album, compete with 50+ Kpop songs in one year and on top of that only hit the asian market and maybe the entire market.
People need to start understanding that Jessica was reaching a stage in her life where she wanted to her life back. I think a living proof of how demanding it is to be in their shoes is Seohyun, who also left. The youngest member and by far the most intelligent and sensible out of all of them decided to not renew because she also wanted her life back.
I really do believe if they went on hiatus for a year, this could have all been avoided.
Jessica would have had a lot more time and less pressure to pursue her own dreams, other members could have at least enjoyed their fame, I know Taeyeon would have just released a solo album because shes' Taeyeon, Seohyun would have done humanitarian work, Hyoyeon could have more time doing her Radio show, Yoona and Yuri would have more time focusing their acting, Tiffany would branch out to the US and Sunny and Sooyoung would pursue more reality shows and modelling. Time to just prepare a career after SNSD.
It's just quite sad that they could not disband when they were all still together, now they will turn out like DBSK. They couldn't go out with a bang like SISTAR did.

"It's never been done before...." Well, it could have been. If SM had been so inclined, _the same consideration could have been extended to Jessica, and SNSD would still be 9 instead of 8_ And if the bridges haven't been too thoroughly burned, the same legal/contracting mechanisms needed to bring Tiffany and the other two members who didn't renew back in for an SNSD performance could be used to bring the "missing woman" back as well...

    • @DanteLovesPizza

Yeah, it was unfortunate with Jessica's case. None of these Korean agencies are really that considerate. The smaller agencies, well, look at those horrific scandals about pornography and prostitution. But the larger agencies, yeah, sure, none of that, but they try to strong-arm you, Tiffany even says it here that it wasn't easy to get out of it.
Just be glad that SM learned from Jessica's case that fans will throw a strong backlash, and they didn't do it again with the other members of Girls' Generation when they didn't renew their contract.

Tiffany, Sooyoung, Seohyun left and do whatever they are doing AFTER their contracts have ended, their current careers have not affected any SNSD activities before their 10 years contract end. Jessica is doing her business and missing practices/meetings/etc, affecting SNSD's activity when she is STILL in her contract, and SM was paying her when she is doing all that. How hard is it to understand they are in different situations here.

okay so if you guys watched mixnine... jessica appeared and she hinted at the fact that she and snsd were not allowed to TALK about her sudden leaving. she even said so herself when she left a couple years ago in an interview (?) that she wasn't allowed to. so it's not that she's hiding it, it's bc sm did to jessica what they did to JYJ.

I am a hardcore GorJess Spazzer but her departure doesn't surprise me. It tears me apart though. Her actions and words gave so much clue. I don't know how others can't see it the way I do. When Sica started B&E, I was one of the proudest fan. Like gurl, my bias is a CEO now. To see them grow bigger is a pride of every fan. But rumors of her leaving the group started. It bothers me, especially when she keeps on saying that she spend her youth to SNSD then she said in an interview that she have actually thought about it, but no she's not leaving. Then, TaengSic Drama started. Taeng being so cold to Sica even if there's a camera pointing at them is truly heart breaking. It cools down at some point, then MR MR era came. Everything went well. Taeng's cold treatment to Sica melt down already. Then, she was dismissed. I kept on asking myself that if she was not dismissed and she actually terminates her contract with SM and leave SNSD, will I feel betrayed by Sica? Like how I felt betrayed by SM on 09/30. SeoSooTiff sure knows what's up. They won't put the group's name in another nasty scandal. They wait till they're contracts expired. Their departure is clean and smooth.

Me too, i know from their gestures. Sica is not the type who can get along well with everyone and being warm everyday. Don't get me wrong, Sica is my favorite. And she said on an interview she only get along well that day only with someone who sat beside her on their agenda or the one who shared food with her that day. She's only 'close friend' with hyo sunny and yoona. And her being 'busy' with her business made gg feel betrayed?? Because from the start most of them didn't get along well with her. That's my thoughts

@@areesa3167 I don't think it's because of the bond of the girls. I'm a sucker of Soshi Bond cause I felt it and saw it. The company and girls might actually felt betrayed cause the responsibilities for the group are put under and before B&E. I can't say Sica is being irresponsible for her duties in the group for putting it behind her company. She's tryin to jungle both, but knowing SM, it is not surprising that they did what they did. They want their artist for themselves only. BS.
