After waiting in a long line at Disneyland we finally got onto one of our favorite rides. Suddenly we see a blur in the car in front of us as someone hops out from under their lap bar as we are going up a hill and right as we reach the peak, the ride stops. When we look behind us, we see the person who jumped out of the Disney ride running down the steps. After sitting in the hot sun, tapped in the train car for almost an hour, a wonderful cast member came, evacuated everyone from the ride, and helped us down the steps. As she gave us a Thunder Mountain ride behind the scenes tour, we chatted about what had happened. A guy jumped out of Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride for his phone (which I saw was shattered as he ran by me back up to his car and said "sorry y'all"). After we got an exclusive ride tour of the behind-the-scenes of the Disney ride we saw him talking with Disney security outside.

Ikr, I was gonna have a heart attack cause it started on one of the fastest sections of the ride
In that case there wouldn't have been any footage of him jumping out except if the Phone landed in a very specific way.

At no point in the video do you ever see anyone jump out or jump into the roller coaster except when the workers tell them to. You can also hear the workers state there was a mechanical issue and that is why they had to walk back.

We got stuck on the Indiana Jones ride for like 20 minutes. They didnt kick us off though, when it got back to the beginning they let us stay on a go again :)

I love that the sweet cast member was not annoyed when taking everyone out. Instead she gave like a cool mini tour. I love it when cast members act like that.
I got evaced through the mountain once and the CM was giving us fun facts and asking us trivia and stuff. It was better than the actual ride lol!

This actually happened to me on Splash Mountain. The ride stopped and I got a backstage look at the animatronics.

kalie rodriguez my mom and I were on Peter Pan when it broke down. We were stuck on it for quite a few minutes above the London scene. I got pictures. But since we were in the air they have to have you ride through tho whole thing lights on and sound off. I basically got to ride the whole thing and see all the special effects and it was so freaking cool. The cast members were saying sorry a lot, and I just kept saying it was so cool, because I was genuinely excited to be able to get to see it with the lights on. The clouds are legit just clear, plastic bags XD.
The employee is the one who should’ve been pissed. If it were me I wouldn’t have been talking to them like she was. I would have rolled my eyes at the father’s remarks.
I dont think I would have been happy. It depends. Did I already get to ride it this trip? Then I probably wouldn't be angry. I'm not sure how it is in Disneland but the in Disney World the line can be 2 to 3 hours long for the line. You may not have been able to get a fast pass. But as long as these people got a fast pass out of it, then cool. Use it on one the really long ones like 7 Drawfs or Flights of Passage. The guy was still and idiot. It's dangerous. Your phone is most likely gonna be broken. And you can ask the staff to retrieve it. Staff did for a girl on Splash Mountain. Most likely he got kicked out of Disney for the rest of his stay. I've seen that happen too.

It’s also because guests aren’t supposed to record in “not show ready” conditions. I worked at toy story mania and if we ever broke down we had to tell people to have their phones away too keep the magic real for other guests. However most of this attraction is outside but when they went under the tracks that’s not supposed to be seen by anyone. So it was a diss but also a way of saying put away your phones. ☺️

I hope the guy was. He risked life and limb for it, as well as possibly get employees fired, the ride shut down for who knows how long. Honestly, I wish there was a list that theme parks shared for offenders this bad. If he doesn't take ride safety seriously at all, he shouldn't be allowed in any theme parks.

@@Simmoshu sure but rules and regulations on roller coasters are put into place for a reason. Safety is priority. He could’ve waited until the end of the ride, notified an operator and then they would’ve told him when he would be able to get that item back. Or maybe an employee could’ve gotten it for him before the next train was dispatched (since it was on the stairs and not in a restricted area). I’m glad nobody got hurt but regardless it was still selfish of him. Yea sorry is a phrase for a reason but doesn’t mean ppl actually mean it :)

Back in 2019 I went to Disney land Paris on vacation and the haunted house ride kept on stopping because loads of people in wheel chairs were on the rides but even though we stopped about a hundred times it was still super cool!

@Trey Weger Yeah, the people currently on the ride think it's cool. The people WAITING in line for 30 minutes who are told to leave because the ride has been shut down are not happy at all. The guy who jumped off the ride has the tendencies of a sociopath and/or an exceedingly low IQ person. It would have been much easier to ask the crew to retrieve the phone later once the ride was shut down for the night.

Idk as a ride operator even though it may seem hard and annoying, I actually enjoy going out into the ride area weather it be for a ride stop, or to evacuate guests. It makes an interesting twist while working
RADZADproductions usually a routine evacuation can but fun. I’d be really angry in this case though. I’m not being dramatic but people die from such stupidity. This is not a toy. It can crush you without a second thought.

WDW Cast members are the best! Lots of them have a great SOH too. One guy in the Haunted Mansion was tired,and said,"One again..Please step into the center of the room, if you can hear me PROJECTING MY VOICE." ha ha ha. He cracked me up,and I told him I thougt he was cool. I love the CM's
I work for a regional theme park as a ride op no where near the level of Disney but still a major brand and other than the theming the basic operation is the same and I can tell you after awhile you just get used to it in fact emergency stops and unloads (in show exits for Disney) are the most fun you’ll ever have as a ride operator aside from special guests that make your day memorable when you interact with them.
Damn they were quick to shut those trains down. Good vigilance by the staff

Just remember there are several other cars on the track at the same time. This video was just one car. He screwed up many more people's ride. He could have picked up his phone at lost & found the next day.

lost and found will also mail your lost item to you. I had placed my watch on the strap of my bag and it flew off when I removed the bag to go through security at the gate. I didn't notice for a bit, searched "everywhere" so went to lost and found. Was told that it would probably never be found, but about two weeks later it was in the mailbox! I still have it in a drawer because it broke. We assume that a cast member turned it in on a break or such. :D
Once at Disney world magic kingdom, I lost an entire backpack on space mountain because it was very light weight and I didn’t really secure it very well so it flew off. It had my phone, my phone charger, an extra magic band and my wallet. Once the ride was over, we went to guest relations and they told us to wait till the park closed to pick it up, but we were going home that same day before park closing so they told us to call them. next day we called and they found the backpack and they shipped it home for free and got it a week later.
The phones can wait, haven’t had mine for the rest of the day and still had a magical time without ruining a ride experience and What he did was a very good reason to kick him out of the Disney parks
My phone flew off Goofys Coaster in California and I couldn't find it after I had gotten off the ride ,but I kept calling my phone the next day and eventually staff found it and I was able to pick it up at lost and found the next day

@@squirreland when disney was built that wanted to have underground tunnels so that employees could go different places in the park quickly. Only problem was that since it was in Florida everything underground was way too wet so they basically built a massive pile of dirt to build the parks on and then put tunnels in the pile. There are secret entrances which this guy wouldnt be able to go to because I doubt there are entrances along the ride but you can take a tour of stuff like this and go behind the scenes on a tour they offer called the keys to the kingdom tour. Ive done it before, pretty cool
IN the mid 70s when my family went to Disney World the Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs ride broke down while we were riding it. They turned on all the work lights in the ride and we had to walk through the last part of it. I don't recall specific details but seeing a cardboard witch behind styrofoam rocks just wasn't that scary. Oh and a few flashing strobe lights lost all effect with work lights on. I don't remember exactly what caused the ride to stop but it wasn't some duffus chasing after something he dropped.
I would honestly love this to happen for me for this reason but also I died of second hand embarrassment watching this

I love how the worker was so nice to them, and was super friendly. She didn’t mind he was filming, when others would have freaked out, and instead of just leading them away she had fun with them and showed them around, making it a mini ride of behind the magic almost. I would say she is a great worker!👍

I got stuck on Indiana Jones and my grandma took one picture and the cast lady started freaking out as we were evacuated. Not all of them are as great as this lady.

Usually you’ll have to go back after closing. Jumping out of the ride can get you banned from the park. I knew someone who jumped off haunted mansion for her phone and she got her pass revoked but had to keep paying for it.

@@yetidynamics for every ride that gets stuck and guest weren't able to enjoy the ride even if your literally about to take off, all guest get fast passes for any ride or the same one they were on for the inconveniences. Usually give them out at the end, I experienced this all the time it happens a lot with ride breaking downs

Miranda Gonzalez I went to Disney world over brake and I had fast passes for thunder mountain and it broke down so they let us use our fast pass on any ride we wanted

ive done that before with $200 sunglasses. they said they couldn't get them until the park was closed. Never got 'em back. Monsters Inc. employee prob. put them on ebay.

Yes they do. They are at the lost and found at the front gates. Got my sunglasses back in two days. One of my sons shoes. Tons of items. Disney does a great job at getting things back.
