Master Vegetable Garden Tour and learning to introduce a queen bee to a colony that lost its queen.

We were able to visit our neighbors professional vegetable and berry garden along with some beekeeping education, introducing a new queen bee to a colony. We originally intended to split a colony with a new queen we had - another neighbor ordered one based on my bad advice after a swarming event - but ended up adding to a colony left without a healthy queen that had previously swarmed and was unable to make another. Slawek was more than happy to share his 15+ years experience beekeeping and gardening with Dad, Gavin and I as allow us to graze on black, white and red currant, dozens of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry plants, while touring his 2 acre homestead of honey, lol. A fun day in the gardens just a few houses down from ours.
