- A person was hospitalized after a United Airlines flight from Cancún to Chicago was diverted to Memphis due to severe turbulence. NBC Chicago’s Natalie Martinez reports.
Wear seatbelt even if the sign is not lit. Planes are designed to handle turbulence, the human body is not.
People need to see the video's of the stress tests the wings go through. It would make them terrified. Those wings can handle a lot of turbulence.
Wear your god darn seatbelts. I don’t understand why people do not wear them on planes! This is exactly why we always bought our children plane tickets and they were fastened in their car seats. Holding a baby on your seat is not safe.
People think they are invincible and that it'll never happen to them. Bet you they will wear a seatbelt from now on.
@@juniesco that was the reason we always bought our kids plane tickets when they were babies and infants. A close family friend is a pilot for Northwest. He warned us early on and told us he had seen some horrific accidents with babies.
And people still don’t have a seatbelt on during flight. Just worked three flights today (I’m a flight attendant) and just shook my head as I went through the aisle. People. Will. Never. Learn.

Planes are super durable, especially their wings lol. If only that guy had seen the stress testing they go under. Having been in severe turbulence myself, it's no fun. Glad they're all OK though.

Was just on a United flight and they say again and again and again and again to keep your seatbelt on when seated.
Keep your seat belts on folks…turbulence is like dirty underwear…it creeps up on you.

My father was a pilot, now times have change due to climate changes it's called invisible turbulence, its happening globally to international planes as well its happening every 3 in 10 planes and sadly it will grow more

@@rickyonrockzit’s called clear air turbulence. There are 45,000 domestic flights per day and we hear about these incidents maybe once a month. But yes, 3 out of 10 seems close enough

I would rather the flight delayed. A seat belt isn't enough .
Ok, I always wear my seatbelt when seated. Got it. What if a CAT suddenly kicks in while I'm at the toilet? Because you know, you can't be stuck in your seat all the time, especially during long haul flights. What can I do then??
Why do these American reporter sound like they have never heard of an airplane or anything relayed to aviation? There are more airplanes flying from or to the States or over the States than anywhere else on our planet , but these reporters sound like an airplane was invented yesterday!

There’s issues in Atlanta, charolotte, Orlando, New York too. Weather is bound to happen everywhere just some places worst than others especially during the summer time.
