-Warframe does not have to be maxed rank (see Tennocon 2020 live)
-Feeding gives points (4:01 from 47.5k to 188k)
-Only one Abilty of each warframe can be "donated" (4:12) which is neither an ultimate or a signature ability (6:00)
-Consumed abilities need a slot (4:38)
-Consumed Warframe gives points (4:50)
-Consumed abilities are permament (6:15)
-You can only infuse one ability per Warframe (7:44)
-Infusing an ability gives points. (8:03)
-Prime Warframes cannot be consumed, oof (8:34)
Fazit: The abilities they chose will most likely be the most useless ablility of each warframe. Therefore most likely always the first one or the one that gives mobility. So probably no new and totally OP builds. Except maybe Mirage(1), Saryn (3) give ways.
The fact that you cannot consume Prime warframes and a point-scale that does not use points for any feature but only gains, means that this is probably another grind fest to gain a completion in acquisition (helmith abilities). I hope that maybe one of these probably 10 helmith ablities is more useful than some standard abilities of weaker warframes thus balancing them somewhat.
So do not get your expectations too high.

The thing is, because augments work there are some frames that have no weak abilities. Saryn you could argue molt is her weak ability but with the augment it's a free source of healing on top of movement, aggro pull and even some damage when it explodes. And for other frames the weak abilities just cannot work outside their kit. Grendel HAS to offer his 1 despite it being his best ability because no other ability works without consuming enemies. I'm genuinely curious to see how they handle Limbo because the only ability of his that makes any sense in a vacuum is his ult because other frames cant enter the rift without being banished... so banish on another frame just makes enemies invincible, stasis and rift surge are pointless without a means of forcing enemies into the rift.
The system is a lot harder to manage than it first appears on DEs end.
Hell, the combination of any of hildryns abilities on inaros or nidus makes me giggle.
And speaking of nidus, he pretty much has to give up his noodle cc right? One of the best ccs in the entire game up for grabs because all his other abilities tie really tightly into his passive.
Mirage 1 would be insane on Limbo. The illusions can use their weapons through the rift. I imagine Atlas 1 or Khora 1 would be super broken on Limbo. Just slide in the rift and spam it.

Yeah I am excited too! Good job on measuring expectations with the system since I’ve seen too many comments saying they can’t wait to put Vex armor or some other ability that isn’t guaranteed on a frame and really just automatically setting themselves up for disappointment if that ability isn’t the ability subsumed for that frame. I still am excited for the power put an ability set on my frames that offers synergy and also to remove bad abilities and replace them with good ones but we need to see the list first before I start dreaming of “the ultimate warframe”.
Most likely only the weakest abilities will be consumeable. As we have seen already from Volt and Mag.
@@ERBanmech I'm a poser who wants to minmax Excal Prime. I really need to see that list to gauge what I should replace Radial Javelin with. Hell, any 3 of Nezha's prospects would be incredible: Fire Walker, Blazing Chakram, or Warding Halo.
I wager Warding Halo's out of the equation because that would be absurd. Fire Walker's a good speed buff, provides some procs and cc. Blazing Chakram would provide procs, health orbs, and damage boosts, potentially dropping the need for Life Strike for consistent lifesteal when combined with a maxed pet that'll heal you.
For some frames, all 3 (or 2, realistically, because no "signature abilities") of their options are staggering to think about. Trinity (Jesus Christ, her options are Well of Life, Energy Vampire, and Link, good luck balancing that choice, DE),
Nezha (described),
Harrow (Free Health, Free Energy, or Free Shields, pick one DE),
or Wukong (Defy or Cloud Walker, either's an incredible get-out-of-jail-free card).
Most frames will present a single poor option that DE will definitely go with in the name of balance, like Volt's Shock, so you have to consider the frames whose kits are so loaded with synergies that any singular option would be disgustingly incredible to throw on any other frame.

I just reviewed the complete list of warframes and if they will not be putting "ults" or "signature" moves the abilities that will most likely be subsummed will be pretty limited in terms of variety, there are a lot of first, second, and third abilities and they all are either a dash, damage projectile, stun or a status applicator. You will not be seeing a bunch of op builds sadly.
Although some warframes have really good set of skills like Trinity, Mirage, equinox, wukong, Saryn to get the imagination going. No matter what ability is not considered "signature" in these warframes will still be pretty good. Well of life, sleight of hand, defy, molt, toxic lash are all good abilities with good augments.
Special mention to augment mods that allow a specific element to be put on warframe weapons like oberon and ember.
There will still be some pretty op builds to be found but don't let your imagination run rampant. that you would be able to put hall of mirrors on every frame or spores.

So I was just thinkin. you can use the augment mods for said abilities. would embers fireball/augment combo be great for warframes that dont bring much else to the table? say placed on loki and now gives fire damage to weapons?

Sorry to break it to ya, but it’s limited to one ability added per Warframe, at least as stated in the video.
Like the the guy from above, srry to break you up but the ults are not included in the helminth system, only the "weak" ones will be considered like Saryn's molt or Excal radial blind.

Food for thought. I think that when Nidus touches down on Deimos, his skin morphs into the infested area surrounding him. Gets bonus ability damage and his moves also get a little cosmetic upgrade.
I just get this feeling that my main frame Nidus isn't getting enough love despite the fact that he's one of the tankiest and strongest frames in the game. I mean this was the perfect opportunity to give us Nidus Prime and instead they went with Inaros.
From one Nidus main to another, I hear ya. But at the same time I feel like the less noise made about Nidus the better. Let the King be.

Does the frame need to be at lv 30 to do sacrifice? Or can I just build it and once the update arrives, can claim then from the foundry and straight doing it?

This. We sold so many basic frames, when we could have just fed them to this abomination. Newer players can just skip that step, and feed the basic frames to it when they get the prime versions.

yeah no crap, we need to know. I want invisibility from loki not a fking decoy. I dont want shock bolt from Volt, I want his speed(but cause its only one I already know) I want an Ice Globe from frost, not his snow ball. This is both AWESOME and might be a huge let down.

Dear gosh, you have to feed the Warframes to it! Even if they are not sentient like Umbra wasn't it established they are living creatures in their own right?
They're mindless golems made of Infested material and metal. No memories, but residual personalities judging by the idle animations. So yes, this is killing them, but they're already living puppets I sold to make room for Primes.

By lore, the primes are infested humans turned to become warframes. the Non-Prime warframes are just puppets & mimics of the original warframes (Prime Warframes)

Ultimate/4th abilities cannot be transferred and as for what abilities will be transferred it depends on the warframe. Certain "signature" abilities like Nekros desecrate also won't be transferable but what a makes an ability "signature" isn't very clear. Other than these two restriction, the abilities that can be transferred don't have to necessarily be 1st ability.

but then theres the problem with quest warframes that require you to visit simaris and have to deal with the increments of standing you get for an ability to be permanent
I did the math, it takes 1,850,000 standing for everything, and it would take 62 days straight of nonstop Simaris targets if you are mr29...If they are gonna gate quest warframes from being in this system I’m ok with it, unless they add earnible standing for simaris in sanctuary enslaught

Guys! please for the love of all gaming: SET YOUR EXPECTATIONS LOW!
I don't blame most of you with an over active imagination but don't expect anything crazy like Mesa using Spores or Inaros with Rhino Skin or players splashing Loki's Invisibility on every WF. According to DE you can only obtain 1 predetermined ability from each WF which will not include signature abilities(Nekros' Desecrate is already confirmed unobtainable) which is a fair decision because it will give players a reason to play a certain WF.
But whatever an angry vocal minority will arise once the Heart of Deimos comes out, that is an inevitability. Just trying to loosen the steam before anybody throws a fit.

@@Yumemaru. there IS a reason. DE are very fond of nerfs. And they nerf shit in the worst way possible. Imagine them nerfing your favourite frame because one of its abilities became OP when used on some other frame. Or saying something like "With the introduction of that system we've noticed that players favor certain abilities over the others, in order to balance things out.." - and the grandest of nerfs will follow.
I am optimistic about this feature and I don't think it'll be as bad, as it is in the examples I used. However, seeing what DE did to Khora and Xoris - I can't dismiss people feeling uneasy about this whole thing.

This far Volt's shock ability, can have an augment that increases the electricity damage by 300% and combine it with rhino's 300% extra damage and BOOM you got 900% extra electricity damage buff to an ally warframe.
Also Gmag will be back as GNekros(desecrate --> gravity pull, desecrate --> gravity pull) easy farming lol.
Also not to mention shock on a 10x damage Nyx's mind controlled unit, THEN that unit becomes an enemy. Good teammate trolling lol.
Another one is in the case of nyx/equinox(possibility) that either equinox gets the speeding vulnerability ability or the sleep or any of the op abilities. But in case he gets the vulnerability speed, just imagine you mind controlling an enemy with 10x damage and like 3x speed. lol as a 100+ level HEAVY GUNNER.

OMG I thought I would hate this thing because we have to feed it frames, but I love how "cute-rather-than-grotesque" they went with its sound effects and facial expression, quite excellent. I want to see what happens when I feed it lunar pitchers now.
This sort of "pet" will probably make picking up most resources in the game feel more fun, like it used to feel when just starting. GREAT IDEA! As long as we don't have to continuously feed it like the money-suck of DNA stabilizers, godforsaken mechanic...

@@noobkiller11790 I have already ranked all the frames. But I got rid of all the normal versions which have a prime variant. Hopefully they inform about this at some point because I wouldnt wanna rank them again if its not mandatory for sacrifice.
What ability would they take from limbo
it would be banish, I would say stasis but enemies need to be in the rift for that ability to work so it would be literally useless & same goes for his 3rd ability, enemies need to be in the rift for his 2nd & 3rd ability to work. I can tell already.
@@d00mj8 it just seems weird to give frames banish if they can't go into the rift themselves. Oh you could banish your squadmates but it still feels strange.
@@t3cneo948 I agree but what will the other warframes do with Stasis & the 3rd ability if they can't go into the rift? I doubt they'll transfer passives to other warframes because then sure they'd be able to use banish but as we are told, each warframe provides 1 unique ability to helminth, Limbo's has to be banish because the other 2 are non-existent & we can't use cataclysm since we can't give ultimate abilities. Either way, Limbo is not worth giving up since its useless all around.
Maybe they get the passives too because other frames like
Nidus and Gauss first would not make so much sense without their passives

for all of you planning weird and broken habilities combination remenber, they said no ulti or signature hability will be like tranpasable or move to another warframe, so, i dont thing you can get iron skin, ne zha,s ult or thing like that, i think will be literaly the simpler warframes abilities, like embers fireball, frost and rhinos 1, also you can only change 1 hability in your warframe, but that also begs the cuestion, how is it gonna work with limbos habilities or equinox?? also wich hability of wukong and octavia isnt a signature ability??, it just makes me think that the more valuble one are gonna be the ones from the helmint itself
Swap our Rhino 1 for the Helminth ability “Empower” and just have an even more busted Rhino 3 :P

@@maxgonzalez9854 yeah, I think frames that can boost their buffs even more like rhino/banshee and frames with some crap abilities like Inaros/Chroma will benefit the most. In case Nidus 2 will be made availlable, that'll be insane for Endo Nekros though, since you can just have max range on the Nekros and pull as well.
@To Release is To Resolve Still there'll be worst abilities that are better than others, especially with augments. I'd take Nidus 2 over Chroma 1 any day for instance. Same with Nezha's Fire Walker, being fast on Chroma is far better than having an ability you just won't use.

Sadly you can only add one ability to a frame. Still, soul punch is noticeably less useful than any other nekros ability so I'm thinking maybe regenerative molt as a panic health restore for despoil would fit well...

@@MRx36000 the finishers seem a little anti-synergy with nekros. Quite a few of the finisher animations dont shred the body like regular melee attacks do so you have less body parts to desecrate. Depends on the weapon though. That being said when you have terrify on your 2 as a cc do you really need another? Inaros 1 is only worth it if the lifesteal applies. Cant remember if it does or not. Another possibility is grendel's feast as a room clear. Normally I'd say it's too powerful to be a transferable ability but none of his others work without eaten enemies so it has to be available unless they rework him
