The only places that are actually "in" San Bernardino are the Baseball Stadium, California Theater, and the San Bernardino History and Railroad Museum. Of those three, the only one worth visiting is the Museum, which actually is the old Santa Fe Depot. I think there is still train service there. Clint Eastwood used this location to film the train station scene in the movie The Changeling starring Angelina Jolie. I've been to the California Theater, once or twice for a concert. It is worth noting the historic architecture, but the surrounding area is run down, and it is not like you can go have a quiet dinner or drinks before or after the show. If it is a noteworthy act or production, it will most likely be presented at a better venue in Orange County or Los Angeles. As far as the Baseball Stadium is concerned, it's Single-A baseball, so take that for what it's worth. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch a game there. It pains me to say all of this because I am a San Bernardino native.

@@terezajesus7900 This is City of San Bernardino. There is still the remaining 90% of California that is worth exploring, including the desert and mountains that are part of San Bernardino COUNTY (as opposed to just the City).

My grandparents lived in Highland. I never saw any reason to visit them other than compulsory family trips growing up.

As someone who lives here, don't come you will get robbed and the "nice places" are about an hour (or more) away and most of them are full of homeless crackheads that will attack you, I wish I was lying

Too bad you can't take a trip to the past. I grew up in San Bernardino from 1965 till 2005. It used to be a quiet little town and a kid was safe to take off on a bike on a Saturday morning and explore. When I was 12 I rode my Huffy from 17th St and E to Yucaipa. No muss, no fuss. Got home at dusk and my mom was not even worried cuz she knew we lived in a safe town. Then the gangs and the drugs showed up around 1985 and everything went to shit.

Cal State San Bernardino is a respectable school in a relatively nice area. But if you are coming from out of the USA, there are so many more schools and areas that are way better than San Bernardino. I used to be a long distance runner who trained in the hills above Cal State SB, so I know what I am talking about.
