    Update on my boot. The glue started coming apart just after less then 30 days of buying. I never had a chance to take them out hiking just walking in Walmart.i contacted LALO and they said this is a common issue and to buy a shoe glue? I did and let it sit for a few days. I put them on and in 2 steps they came apart in the same area. Buyer beware

    Gotta show the toe-box better. That's 50% why people watch these tactical boot videos. We need a direct top-down view of how wide the toe area is.

    Hey I know it was a year ago but how are they if you jump in water? I know they have the shadow amphibian but if you swim in them do they drag or do you think they would stay close to your foot?

      This is a great question! They are a snug fit on purpose and stay close when wet or in a river swimming. They are even configured to work well with scuba fun straps so they definitely had this in mind . They also don't get 'heavy' when waterlogged and drain themselves quickly. I'd actually say they do a better job of fully amphibious than their other excellent jungle boot.

    How does the LALO intruder hold up in cooler weather compared to the salomon none goretex?

      Hold ups well. I've used it in some horrendous wet muddy and cold conditions going up mount marcy and they were great

    Hi, question about fit and also about sizing- you said the toe box is sturdy, does it provide a decent amount of room? Also, should one go up a half size with purchasing these and using in the summer?

    • @airlandandseablogchannel4179
      @airlandandseablogchannel4179  Před 3 lety

      These come in pretty narrow. I suggest going up a whole size and a size and a half for summer. It's rare I recommend so much oversizing but you'll understand when they arrive

      @@airlandandseablogchannel4179 thank you! And you feel confident that the LALO rapid assaults are bad for heat and blisters in the summer, yes? I need something to withstand 12 hrs straight of PT in California summer (SEALfit Crucible).
      If you have any other boot to recommend, please do. I’m 7 weeks away from the event.

      If its 12 hours of desert heat and you can get away without the ankle support I'd go for the Zodiac ATs . It's exactly what they were designed for .

      @@airlandandseablogchannel4179 I do need ankle support, otherwise definitely I’d look at zodiac AT. I was just tipped on to the LALO Shadow Amphibians. Any Thoughts on them and their sizing being true?

      They are waterproof up to the first few inches as you would expect , and then quick draining / drying above that

      The water would enter through the KPU GRILL system?

      @@carloszepeda7504 the grill system is about breathability and preventing dust and dirt getting in. My full review on my site with the link at the top of the description covers all of this .
