I'm slowly coming to grips with the fact that Hip-Hop's best musical era's are now behind us, that there will never be music like this again, and that my favorite rappers growing up are all now entering their 50s and slowly retiring/settling down or getting into acting or other business ventures. It was a fun ride tho. NOW I finally understand why my parents would damn near cry in front of me in the 1990s when they would play records of Marvin Gaye, John Lenon, Queen, Parliament Funkadelic, etc. Because in the 1990s those records took them back to some great times 20 years before in the 70s and 80s. And now here I am listening to an Xzibit song from 2000 in the year 2019 and reminiscing the same way they did over their records.

Beats are important! But lirics... lirics are thr soul of hip-hop. Hip-hop is invented so you have an art freedom to say what is on your hart & to say anything you think about it! Today... beats are like important(in one way they are) but never more important than massage that you try to pass to ones that like and live that lifestyle! And to others too!!
