    I did 114,000ks on my last tyres and just fitted new ones and you don't realise until you fit new tyres how dry and stiff the old ones get. The new ones feel soft and the drive is comfy. Thanks Terry.

      I hear ya mate, they slowly deteriorate and it’s hard to notice the difference until you put new ones on. Cheers 👍😎

    Some of us are just mindless anyway, so the video wasn't a problem! 🤣 I'm still having a good run out of my Toyo R/T's so it'll be interesting to see how your M/T's go. Good tyres are one of the best insurances I reckon 👍(people often don't think of how much you see when you take the wheels off, sometimes it's just all about having a look, maybe some preventative maintenance & of course, making it look good too!!) Ooo Ray!

      Cheers mate. I just finished the Tanami and am on the Gibb currently. Tyres are getting abused and hammered and going the distance. Thanks for zoning out with me😎👍

    Hey Terry....just spent 7 weeks (and 13000 kms) touring the NW deserts (Old Gunbarrel, Gary, shotline to the Warri site, then up to Kunawarritji and Kiwirrikurra, overland to Balgo, lake Gregory and then the Bungles) and after a few days in Kununurra, the Oombi fro the second time (this time, north to south). Country is looking brilliant - you will enjoy your upcoming trip. Cheers Denis

    Hi Terry,
    G day from old Germany
    Rims look „schmink“ very nice…
    Another „like“ ❤ Terry video…
    But there is a but…. You named it… you can look through compared to thee Octagons and that mean you can see through to inside and means you have to keep clean the inside…. Yes, must look nice and tidy.
    Got it right to use a ceramic rim detailer. But what you used is not a rim and tire detailer. Yes, existing, we use the Sonax product here over in Germany, very reasonable prices and top quality and works perfectly on my black high gloss AMG rims..
    BTW… your disk looked exactly like my DBA rotors. I had to grind of the edges before installing new brake pads which also should be a dust reducted version but not ceramic which leave the rims nice cleaner but are to hard and wear the rotor more an produce a shodder during hard breaking…. Break pads are less expensive compared to rotors though.
    Keep the sunny side up
    Cheers

    I wouldn't say that particular FJ work is out of your pay grade per se, probably more to do with the colour of tool.
    One will refrain from making orange colour tool jokes, that would be in very poor taste, and frankly, quite disgusting.
    Love the new rims.
    I've always run rotors from DBA for over 20 years. Love them.
    I can also relate to the small tip. Can be problematic.

    Great result, work repaid.
    Off topic: the sealed alternator. Are you still happy with your brand? Any suggestion? I have a new 79 (V8 of course) and I am thinking to replace the factory ones.

    • @JafffaAdventures
      @JafffaAdventures  Před měsícem

      Thanks Nick, I’m happy with the results. Still running the sealed alternator and love it. I’m on the road ATM, just finished the Simmo (very wet where 3 cars were towed out with failed alternators when I was there). Did Finke road, Tanami, Karunjie track and am currently on the Gibb. No dramas at all, I would repurchase in a heartbeat 😎👍

    Many thanks for the video Terry - appreciate the info as always across your whole range especially on the 200 series - could I ask two quick questions please? How high is your shed and what type of hoist do you have? Kind regards David W

      @JafffaAdventures  Před měsícem +1

      Thanks for the kind words David, I sincerely appreciate it.
      The shed is:
      15m wide
      9m deep
      4m wall height
      5.5m at the top of the pitch (approximately)
      3.5 high roller doors
      The hoist is a Direct Lift😎👍
