Dear Graham, I woke up this morning thinking: well, another day... what else is new... Now just changed my mind! Yes, not just another day after surprised by your new post on Bach! A New, Fresh and Delighted Day listening to your arrangement. How can I thank you so much?
Great interpretation Graham, so beautiful! Funny fact: when I heard this I was struck by the phrase in the first clav at 0:20, that sounded unfamiliar, and I thought "Ah well, Graham added something of his own here! Well, I've done this, let's compare the versions". But I could not find it my version. I was baffled, but then I realised I did the Vivaldi version (RV 580). And in the Vivaldi version that phrase is not there. The things you notice thanks to this medium :)
You, Sir Orzo, also always make my day special when you post your arrangments on Bach. You guys make me wonder on how could I thank you both for such creative work that makes my heart softier...
Thanks so, so, so much dear Orzomondo. This was a biggy with over 60 tracks!! and so much time! Confusing me with one of Bach's lines that's a first! LOL!!! I absolutely love the original Vivaldi but Bach"s additional ingredients make it a marriage made in heaven.
Absolutely beautiful! I prefer your version to the traditional interpretations on acoustic instruments. You impart such "sparkling" dynamics it is just amazing and a joy to listen to. And nevertheless, this rendition remains totally truthful to the spirit of J.S. Bach's art.
Dear Andreas, yet again I get a review that I can archive and remind myself that I'm on the right track. The harpsichord version doesn't work for me or the piano version for that matter. However, I wonder if conductors where to spend considerably more rehearsal time with balance and nuancing of parts there would be a lot more appeal. I'm thinking of Carlos Kleiber, he sparkled and would love to have heard what he would do with this masterpiece.
Thank you for this, Graham. It sparkled! We know that Herr Bach enjoyed a challenge; so, apparently, do you! Well done. Thanks again.
Thanks so much, Karl. I'm sure Bach cooed with a big smile on his face when he first saw what Antonio was doing.
Прекрасное исполнение произведения И.С.Баха под гениальное фото Роланда Модры.
Спасибо Грэхэм!
Огромное спасибо. Я очень ценю это.
