- Did you know that changes in your cervix can be an indicator of early pregnancy? I'll discuss how to check your cervix position and texture and why it's important to identify patterns so you can predict if you may be pregnant before you receive a positive test result.
Your cervix will feel different if you have conceived than if you haven’t. The cervix will change in position and firmness depending on if conception has happened or not.
Just another way for those who are anxiously waiting through their two week wait on their trying to conceive journey.

Yes nicely explained. If you track your cervix for a couple months you will notice a big big difference when u conceive and sometimes it may take a few weeks after conception to settle in a high position. That was my experience

Google says it stays high and hardens during pregnancy than changes as you get closer to labor. Hope this helps!

Hi everyone! It's good to get to know your body but please wait for your period or a positive test before making any decisions (like having a drink). I've tried this method for a couple of months, all good, cervix low and hard before period for two cycles. Tried it the third time, cervix low and hard, I was convinced I wasn't pregnant. Two days later my period wasn't there and I got a positive test!😮

I know this video was old but I just wanted to add something about the position. Correct me if I’m wrong but a low position is considered reaching as far as your first knuckle. So just about the first inch of your finger. High position would be up to the second knuckle or more. 2-3 inches.
it's different for everyone, but online it does list the average range for different situations!
Hey girl! Love this video. So i was ovulating yesterday (clear egg white stretchy discharge) and today my cervix is low and a little hard. Not very hard but definitely not as soft as it is when I’m ovulating. I am getting cramps and my period tracker says my period is due in 2 days. I am ttc so hopefully i do a total 360! It’ll be my 3rd! I will check my cervix in the am.

Did you conceive in the end?
Do you have a very short cycle? Or irregular? Usually you ovulate 12-14 days into your cycle, and then you'll start your period in 12-16 after that. If you ovulated 3 days before your period (I'm just super curious, not being judgy lol) do you usually ovulate late like that? Or ovulate twice in a cycle, which can also happen? Or are you only basing your ovulation on the CM you have? Because some cycles I have EWCM multiple times, but when I take an ovulation test it's only positive twice in that month, even if I have EWCM for 10 days.
Everyone please keep in mind every woman is different. When I found out I was pregnant my cervix was high, hard and closed. Not soft at all.

This is the first well explained cervix video ever. In November I noticed the same thing as you it was really high and wet but yet I still got my period. Now its December 7th and I am 8 dpo and it does feel wet but really low where I can feel it when I squat to the point where it feels like its closing the hole area but I can still get my finger all the way in but it feels like little tiny bumps like the feel of my tongue. My period is do in 6 days and I do not want it to come I have been ttc for 5 months. I'm not sure what to think

Thank you for this, I’m currently 10dpo, and AF should come in 4 days I took a test 8,9,10 dpo and all were negative, but I have had sore breasts for days, a bad headache one day and I never get them like ever, more back pain, high and soft cervix. I’m in the 5 day window before period but nothing yet, I’ll probably wait till 12 dpo, but my cervix feels promising idk I don’t want to get too hopeful.

Hi, I am under medications from last two months because I skipped my periods in the month of July. This time doctor prescribed me folic acid tablets, vitamin D tablets and, Siphene tablets for conceiving. My LMNP was on 27 August and now I am really confused whether I am pregnant or not. I am feeling cramps in my Lower abdomen and breast tenderness. A little bit of nausea is there but it is not much prominent. Can you please guide me?

@@CaelaCook nope, so sorry for the late response. Doctor now suggested me to go for HSG test, I am just keeping my fingers crossed.
But I don't know, this time again my periods were delayed and then I took synthetic progesterone DUB5 with the prescription of my doctor. I bleeded finally but on the first day there was a big lump of clot as if some flesh has flushed through my cervix. I am puzzled now, I was pregnant and dissolved my pregnancy or what???

I had an issue with checking cervix. I would feel the cervix change then start bleeding shortly after . then i stopped checking and held implantation! I recommend not touching it! Also ovulation and implantation make it feel like lips so you can intercept that process over touching it

Hello you may be spitting or having an irregular period. If you think you might be pregnant definitely take a test!

Thanks for this video. Question, you mentioned that the previous cycle you had your cervix soft and high after ovulation but then it went hard a few days after your period was due. How many days? I'm 9 DPO and my cervix is still very soft, moist and wet and medium high. My period should arrive between Wednesday and Thursday so I'm nervous that the same thing that happened to you might happen to me :(

There is always a chance! Definitely get a test if you haven’t gotten your period yet!

Last month I checked my cervix and it was lower and hard. This cycle im 10dpo and it's very high and very soft. 3 days agoi checked as well and it was a little less soft than today. I also feel pregnant, as if there is something in my uterus, but don't want to get my hopes up too much ❤

Hi there :) I'm a bit confused about the texture. I've just recently started checking my Cervix as I'm experiencing early pregnancy symptoms, so I don't really know what firm like the tip of your nose or soft like your mouth could be exactly. At the moment I'm 9dpo and my cervix has remained high and it's soft and squishy at first, but if I try push my finger further back and move around my cervix, I can feel the shape of it, as well as the very tip is soft, but I can still feel the tube like organ if that makes sense? Does this mean it is firm or soft? Also how big is an open and closed cervix? Mine has opened a bit more since yesterday and is about the size of the tip of my finger.

@@lexidavis49 I've come to find the best way to explain it is to purse your lips as if you are angry. When feeling the tip only this is what it feels like when it's hard and closed. Then if you relax your lips as if you are asleep that is what it will feel like when it's soft and open.
When I wrote this post I had a chemical pregnancy but I'm currently 4 months pregnant and to be honest my cervix has been everything under the sun lol. It didn't rise and stay soft at all when I fell pregnant. In fact at one stage it was so low it was uncomfortable during intercourse. So I would say the cervix isn't really a great indicator of pregnancy. I think it does whatever your body needs it to do at that time.
The only reason I had a hunch I was pregnant was because I had no PMS symptoms and usually I start to cramp a day or 2 before my period. This time I felt absolutely nothing, except my bladder felt sensitive when it was full. And when eating I felt full a lot faster with hardly any food.
My tests were all negative until 14 dpo where I had a very, almost non-existent, faint line and a bfp at 16 dpo.
Also, I tested with ovulation strips that were a dead give away before my pregnancy test even showed a slight positive. So I'd say if you have any lying around, its great for us who are impatient and don't want to waste pregnancy tests lol

I was "waiting" for my period today but no signs yet. My cervix got really higher I can barely touch it. After ovulation, my cervix remained high and soft. It got harder about 11dpo. Now I'm 14dpo, my period should have come by now and my cervix hasn't dropped. I may be pregnant?

Currently TTC. I was dumb and didn't cervix track (besides checking during ovulation) until now. 😄 My cervix stayed soft for 3-4 days after ovulation but then hardened for a few days. Now at the end of 7 dpo my cervix is getting softer again. Still medium-high. It never got low the whole time. Been feeling normal besides not as snacky as usual, vivid dreams, and I had pulling twingey cramps around and below my belly button all day 6 dpo. What do you think? Why did my cervix go back and forth from soft to hard to soft? 😄

Hello, there is always a possibility of being pregnant, but you won't know for sure until you test!
does the cervix move down and harden only if not pregnant? or does it move down regardless and move back up once the egg implants a few days later after ovulation? because my cervix is low and hard and i am about maybe a week past ovulation.
The main thing is to track what your body normally does and look for variations and in future cycles. From my research and personal experience the cervix will stay high or will not move down and up.

So quick question me n my partner had sex 2 days after I ovulated and at 10dpo I started having pink discharge when I wiped and now I’m at 13dpo n I’m having brown discharge

@@CaelaCook I haven’t kept up with my cycle ever since I was put on birth control I didn’t think there was a reason to since my period stopped completely. But since me and the boy did it I’ve noticed signs of my cervix , & also I’ve checked my cervix before multiple times in different months and my cervix has been down low , but recently I checked it again and it’s high up.

My cervix used to drop very low at time of my period and during my periods
But this time it was little high i thought i would not get my periods and my cycle is extremely regular but this time it was 2 days late.
And when my period ended i checked cervix again it was very high as it used to be at time of ovulation.i did home pregnancy test but in evening not morning came back negative.
Should i do another test in morning to confirm or is this normal

Thats why whenever something strange happen or even if i feel little nauseous i think i might be pregnant 😂

I am 26 year old mum of one
My periods are extremely regular 28 days cycle.
Last month we tried for baby .
And now my periods are 2/3 days late it was supposed to come on 17 march
I checked my cervix it was high not very very high but it was and very soft to touch so i did pregnancy test and there was very light faint line.
So did test again on 19 march and it was same light very light pink line.
But on 19 i noticed my cervix has dropped and hard.
I have not got my periods yet
What does that mean,am i pregnant or not ????

Based on this low-hard cervix position, I was convinced that I was not pregnant because my cervix kept dropping and getting harder after ovulation
But here I am with my positive pregnancy test at 15 DPO!
I delayed taking a test because I hate negative test results

I ended up having a chemical pregnancy
Maybe that is why my cervix kept lowering and getting hard...

Hi there, it is possible but unlikely. This is straight from google - “It's highly unlikely that pregnancy would occur if sperm had to travel through water into a woman's body. In the hot tub scenario, the temperature of the water or chemicals would kill the sperm in seconds. In a bathtub filled with plain warm water, the sperm may live up to a few minutes.”

Yes you can definitely start testing, your period is most likely late. Check out my video that discussed late periods vs being pregnant!

I'm 2 dpo and my cervix is way high, soft like blended in, and closed! I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant? This would be my 5th baby!
How exciting! If you check often and this is different that your normal, there is def a good chance youre pregnant! any results yet? I found that my cervix throughout the cycle wasn't as described exactly in textbook, but when I became pregnant I could tell a difference form the other cycles!
@@CaelaCook yes, definitely different than last month! I remember thinking, oh ya it’s soft I’m pregnant....but compared to this month (and I’m 7 dpo now) I was definitely wrong last month! Lol. I never checked with my other babies. Also, usually I break out really bad a week before my period and this month I have a clear face. I’ve had some other symptoms I don’t usually have, but do now. I’m super in tune with my body and I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting a positive soon? Maybe not, but I think yes lol. I’ve tested and got nothing yet.
