Wow - thank you for this - great landings on her jumps that knee bend is something special now very useful for throws - her layback is lovely - all the spin positions are really clean - amazing! ❤
Always a crisp and clean skater. I remember years ago you commented how she needed to be the centerpoint of every pairs program and Jim never listened. Good for Diana and good for Canada.
For fifteen years I had an axel entrance like this one (turning too far with my hips and upper body into the circle before takeoff) and had the same issues on the landing! I had to learn a new entrance when I moved to another coach quite late in my career (stepping out of the circle like how Paul W teaches it). It only took me a few weeks to relearn in the off-season. After that, double axel became my most reliable and enjoyable jump (it used to be my least favourite and least reliable jump). I think Deanna could pick up this new entrance quickly and with ease. With a dependable axel I truly think she (and Max) could be unstoppable 👑
Sasha blew it here. She needed to medal in order to go to Senior Worlds after finishing 2nd at US Nationals, and obviously that didn't happen. I think Deanna would have won if she hadn't doubled the salchow. I love Jenny, but her skating skills were not at Deanna's level.
Miss Deanna out here giving us Kiss and Cry moments FROM. THE. BEGINNING!!!
Her style of movement then and now is so crisp and polished! Truly inspiring!
Her layback position 😍
The way in which the scores were read and displayed is interesting. Transparency in real time as the competition is taking place.

Thanks for posting this! I watched her live in Montreal and it was amazing to see her come so far after a 16 year break!
Deanna really has never had a poker face, eh?
Thank you for posting this. Interesting to see the old scoring system!

What happened that Sasha was in 6th? Lots of falls?
Thanks for posting! Do you have Jenny’s skates from junior Worlds?
They're on CZcams already 🙂
She's barely outta breath at the end of it 😮💨
@theskatinglesson Why did you take down the ice diary episodes ? I loved binge rewatching it whenever I had a bad day but now it's gone
It is on Patreon.
