after watching this im thanking god my 1995 yj came with factory A/C installed.
Thank you so much for doing this video
Thanks for the tips!!
I just finished this ac install on my 93 YJ and it's actually not as difficult as Scott makes it seem, instructions were on point as well... The only difficulty I had is that I had to run out to get the tools needed (hole saw)...
Hi friend, how can I look it up or where did you get that kit
Seems like a cool dude doin some good work. Nice!
Thanks !!
I did this install today, and it was a pain... Bolts on the water pump to adjust the belt tension is awful on my 94 YJ 4.0 straight 6
It fits with a big hammer 🔨 😝
As a michigander... summers never got that hot. Never like texas.
Do you have a video or diagram on the wiring ?
The wiring was extremely simple. Only three wires. One, the high pressure switch, under the hood that runs from the high pressure line to the compressor. Two under the dash on the left side of the under dash unit. Run the black wire to a ground (there are plenty of bolts under the dash to make this ground. The other goes straight to the fuse box. Jeep fuse boxes are prepared to run many owner added accessories and have many open tabs both “hot” all the time or “hot” with key on only. Find a “key on only” tab and plug into that. You may have to make your own connections, but those can be purchased at any auto parts store.
Putting ac in my yj too 🙃
Best wishes my friend. I hope I give some good pointers.
Does this ac cool the jeep in Texas. Or does it under perform?
Hey Scott. Love the video. I have a 1995 YJ. Where are you located in Houston Texas?
Hello Lakeasia, we are close to downtown, 2710 Washington Ave. 77007. Glad you liked the video. I had a ‘94. It was the first “new” car I purchased. Red, ac, 4.0L, sound bar. I loved it and wish I never sold it.
Which kit did you use? Do you have a link to the kit?
Hello, I used a Jeep Air kit.

Thanks for watching. Next couple episode will be rebuilding the 13B rotary, adding cooling fans to the FD intercooler and redoing the rear carpet with alcantara with diamond stitching.
i have the same single din
Hey Scott does the blower motor blow strong?
Hello. Thanks for watching. Yes, it does. I’m thinking they use a OEM blower.
Can you sho more of the ac compressor and alternator
Hello. The daughter has taken the jeep to CO for two weeks. I’ll put together a quick vid of the install when she returns. Sorry about the timing.
Hey did u have to add a pulley for the belt other than factory? If so did u need a bigger bolt or did u use the factory bolt?
Hello. The factory bolt worked and we needed a longer belt. I’ll look to see what size when I get home tonight and hit you back with a comment. Overall, it was a straightforward install
