I NEVER said it wasn’t a thing or that it wasn’t serious! I clearly said that I have totally witnessed it from multiple momies first hand & noticed how it affected our friendship & not because of anything I did (which they even admitted to me after the fact). I stated how I , as a friend, didn’t even notice it was happening at the beginning & that me not constantly reaching out & checking up on my friends had become a problem for them (when it wasn’t before hand) because of the ppd..
& now that I know the signs, I TOTALLY do my part and reach out more then usual just to check in and make sure they know I’m here…
Hopefully writing it out makes more sense of what I was trying to say

I’m grateful for God, my boyfriend, my 3 amazing kids, the roof over our head and the fact that we never go to bed hungry. God is amazing.

I don’t think it’s depression, when you become a mom for the first time you want the people you love to show up more or try. A woman goes through sooo much during and after the pregnancy so I feel they want just a little more presence from friends. It’ll just show us how much you care in a way
It’s sad, but not all friends adapt to each other’s different life stages. When you become a mother, priorities change & all we can hope is that our friends stick with us. I also think that we all have different expectations from our friendships. True deep friendships are those who are there for you when you’re struggling, not just when times are fun and easy. I’ve lost friends bc they didn’t understand my new chapter in life. I have also had the true ones adapt to my new life & try to be involved. Those are the real ones ❤️ I value them so much & return the love and appreciation 😊

Postpartum depression and anxiety is horrible i had it and it made it worst because my in law told me my babys are better with her then me because she grew up with her grandparents instead of her parents so my kids had to do the same. Since then i distance my self and my kids. Its a horrible experience nobody can feel until you actually go through it
I’m thankful for waking up this morning, being able to cook breakfast for my 3 kids and my husband. Having a roof over our heads, and our fridge full of food🙏🏼GRACIAS A DIOS🙏🏼

No its the fact that when you need peop there the most especially family arent stepping up or so called friends im sorry but yall dont have kids so yall can speak on it. I just had mine 3 months ago its not just the postpartum depression is the fact that your whole life changes you need peop there for you and all of the sudden they dont ask how youre doing but before the baby theyre sure there for the baby shower gender reveal etc. Moms go through so much dealing with the recovery..the pain..the new routine the new baby adjusting to everything...youd wish someone woukd care enough to reach out to you and check how youre doing. You have to experience it to understand.

I’m grateful for sunshine this morning. It’s been raining all week.
I think it’s not so much about wanting to isolate yourself from your friends and family. When you’re a new parent you’re trying to adapt to your new normal, almost over night. Some people have ppd but ppa also exists. It’s different for everyone and also depends on the baby (temperament, schedule, etc). Sometimes it takes longer to pack up and go than the amount of time you’re actually gone. Plus your other responsibilities are still there. It may all not seem like a big deal, but add your hormones to the mix and for some moms it’s la gota que derrama el vaso. I think we can just offer parents more grace during that period.
I hope you still have the shirts going on for when I get my next paycheck 🤞🏻😭
