Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 2 Months Later - In this episode, I give you my in-depth ownership experience and thoughts on Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra after 2 months of usage!
Are u fully switching to it?
Switched over from the iPhone 14 pro Max and I absolutely love the Galaxy s24 ultra. Every app works fantastic zero issues. Even got my wife to move over from iPhone to the Galaxy s24 ultra
April update did some magic to my S24Ultra. Very smooth
what has changed?
What changed mate?
@@JackHackett1 Photo post-processing got more improvements.. This time particularly the zoom shots got better clarity as well as some tuning with the portraits. There are a couple more but Samsung is continually putting out updates to the camera which is great to see.
@skrttt_dffoo On top of that, the battery life is insane now. I just got 21 hrs of battery life with six and half hrs of screen-on-time on my s24+. The updates have honestly made the performance and vividness of the phone outstanding, and they have been timely. Getting the updates back to back was just the icing on the cake.
Pre-ordered at launch (1 TB Titanium Violet). Have loved it ever since, between the battery life and the camera improvements over my previous Note 10+. The flat display honestly makes me feel like I'm back to what things were like when I used an S8 Active as my daily driver.
I have had my 24U for over 2 months now. Before that had the S22U and havent been this in love with a smartphone since the note 9. The performance is just absolutely stellar 👌
Thanks for sharing that experience. I wasn't in love with the S22U, but this phone is absolutely absolutely!
@nickackermanchannel yep the S22U was definitely a phone I didn't care for. The performance and battery was average. It wasn't an above and beyond phone like the s24U
One of my favorite youtube channels ever. You always cover the Samsung Galaxy S Series is so much depth and detail and make sure to give the Ultras the respect and prasie they deserve which I really appreciate.
Bro S24 ultra is insane 😮🥶😎🤟
Loving my S24 Ultra in gray titanium. Beautiful phone, premium feel, the excellent and tough Gorilla Armor display glass, etc. etc. etc.
Can't beat OnePlus 12R in battery💪
But yeah,S24Ultra's a great one(out of my budget😅)
Wassupp nick i used to watch you back in 2016 when the s7 came out how fast time flies
Sure, does I remember that phone like it was yesterday! Time sure flies!
The saturated old samsung vividness can be achieve with enabling the contrast setting in developer options
For US markets, this is the best phone money can buy
Sure is, this and the 15 Pro Max
In any market
@nickackermanchannel why? There's literally nothing special about it
Nubia Z60 Ultra exists! It's cameras are far better, battery is way beyond, Performance is same(UI might be smoother too)
If you like android os.
SD card on 25 Ultra would bring about 20% of apples fanbase.. samsung has to be cooking up something special to the 25th edition
Thanks for the video just picked one up in black titanium was a close one though against the honor magic 6 pro
Awesome two months later video as always brother
Thanks bro! More to come!
I love this phone… I want it. Been using iphones for the past 7 years and it would be a great refresh. Awesome review as always.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and absolutely love this phone a year later!
It'd be nice if you did a speed test between this one and the s23 ultra now that it has received one UI 6.1
Agrees with you Nick 👍🏻
It's cool to have an iPhone b/c you can pretend it's still 2007, just now there's that part of the screen missing with that island-thing.
It's cool to have a Samsung 'cause you know what iPhones will be capable of at some future date.
What a expected video🎉
are you using a screen protector ? it seems like you have it on, if yes can you please tell us which one ? is it the official one or some amazon glass protector ?
At the end of the day, all these tech reviewers are apple fan boys
He buys all smartphones with his own money so he gives his honest opinions
Nah hes a apple fan boy. I saw in most of his old videos hes biased towards apple@@caamitsingh7210
All android manufacturers are apple fan boys too
😂😂😂
True
I have it since lunch and I love it❤
Fantastic video ❤
This makes me want to trade in my S22U even though I planned on waiting for the S25U
If you don’t feel like waiting this is worth it, but if you can hold out the S25U is likely to be a phenomenal offering
With the S22U you can wait for S25U.
Yeah the rumors for the S25 are crazy. If there is any truth to them you definitely won't regret waiting...
Definitely can wait.. I want bigger battery, faster charging and a redesign.. not just A.I. and better software optimization.
Don't know if they'll ever be as fast as One Plus charging but as for the updates it should be great with the new seven year updates you shouldn't have any problems. S24 plus has consistently been getting updates every month now that I've had it.
I fell in love with s24 ultra with your review
U havent given an average sot tho, can you share how much sot are u getting per charge?
Awesome
Nice 💯💯💯
I hope to pick one up about 3-4 years from now, its awesome
I got my S24u as well and I really like the saturation over the natural look. Unfortunately my S24u doesn't appear to be as saturated as my S22u even with the vividness set to max. I hope I can adjust overtime but it's kinda sad losing that vibrant look on the s24u😢
I also hope that I can get rid of that annoying bar at the bottom of the screen.. the S22u has this feature of totally getting rid of it not sure why it can't be done on the 24u.
Those are just the thing I don't like about the S24u but overall I'm happy with it. The new flat display is kinda refreshing look.
You can actually get rid of that bottom bar with good lock! I agree for some this display is not going to be the best for saturation but it is really good for extended reading, usage, due to its anti glare, super sharp text, and flat screen is refreshing I agree.
It's rated best display on the market at the moment
What about the grain issue with the display?
Hey Nick, why not try Nubia Z60 Ultra.
Also, you have got to give the full review of OnePlus 12R(against NP2). I'm currently using the 12R 16+256 and absolutely loving it, except the Sunlight visibility is a lot less than 15 Pro.
Also give NP2s longterm review
Not interested in Nubia
china copy phone?= ccp 😆
Great video, but one thing I wanted to know about battery life what is your average screen on time with mixed ussage mobile data/wifi?
Nice, that has been around 7-8 hours mixed heavy use
iPhone 15 pro max same video need@@nickackermanchannel
I would love a 7 inch phone lol people may not like it but yes I agree and I also agree about the SD card coz it's a productivity device it has to have that.
Hey Nick,i am planning to get a new phone but i am confused between 15 pro max and S24U my usage is kinda normal (1,1.5 hours gaming,1,2 hours social media,1,2 hours Netflix) and stuff like that, what do you think which one should i go for?
If Cameras aren't your priority then why not OnePlus 12R?
pls make a speed comparison between smamsung s24 ultra and honor magic 6 pro
also a camera test
Honor 6 not available Here, so will not review that but thanks for sharing.
Nice video
Thank you for your feedback
I have a question. When I do a screen off memo I do not have the option to pin to lock screen. Any ideas?
As a Team Natural mode it didn’t bother me at all once I got back to vivid mode it hurts my eyes.
Superb video, my friend! I like how you've changed your intro style. 👌🏾🤌🏾
Bought this 👑 phone 5 days ago.
After the S23 Plus wich i bought December last year.
Titanium color, awesome device 👍
And since it came out i use Nova Launcher.
I tried this phone out when it first came out. My 13 pm when it came out still had better battery life in my opinion. 15 pm and s24 ultra are pretty similar in battery life
They are but Samsung used to be behind in real-world use, these days that is changing and that is great for the users!
Can I ask a serious question? I've been around since the beginning of iPhone. I can remember when Android had the camera for a long time but Apple fanboys would always say who cares nobody uses your phone camera... Ok... Now all of a sudden iPhone is supposedly the best camera and has been since release what? The battery thing too when I had my Note 9 I never had issues with battery life all day yet the iPhone had battery packs with them all the time Apple fanboys: it's because the battery is smaller of course it's not going to last all day besides I don't use my phone that much so it lasts me all day. But now Apple has best long lasting all day battery super important WHAT? As soon as Apple actually becomes more customizable I have a feeling all of a sudden it's always been customizable and the best WHAT? SMH...
@@Anamae5451it still doesnt its just that it has caught up enough to be compared with samsung
@@Anamae5451I’d say iPhone started getting a stellar reputation for the cameras on the 11 series
That 13 pro max had the best battery of any iPhone ever. The 14 pro max and 15 pro max couldn't compare in my opinion as far as battery life.
Hi guys, I have the s24 ultra for almost 1month, and I always use a case, it's a single Onyx, and I started to notice that the titanium frame under the phone started to scratch, they are not that visible, but it's a scratch, it's normal that titanium scratch that easy? Thank you:(
Same
did you mean something else nick then had to back track so you didn't swear?
Yesterday i grabed s24ultra and it feels just like Nick said. It is heavy but feels light and very nice
I will say about the speed... it is fast, but for some reason when I use Google maps if I swipe out of app with it running in background my phone is throttled a ton and moves so slow. Idk what the issue is with that.
Should I charge my iPhone 40 to 100 or 20 to 80 ?? Pls tell me.
The only thing I will say that I dislike on the Galaxy of the iPhone is when you blare the speakers at full volume for too long it does seem to drain the battery. I am someone who drives a lot for work if I am listening to something for two or three hours with the volume all the way up I do notice a large shift in battery difference
turn off dolby atmos maybe?
One of my only complaints is the fact that I do not use the s pen and I honestly don't know anyone that does so I wish they would have used that extra space for better battery or maybe make the phone that much thinner or lighter
I use it all the time. I don't take notes with it, but I do use it as a shutter button, as well as for photo/video editing, and more accurate pressing for games and closing annoying ads without activating them.
I do use the S pen a lot. I do a ton of photo editing. I want to get into using the s pen more when taking photos I always forget, especially group photos
I use it multiple times a day, from jotting quick notes to editing photos. 😁
Please provide the wallpaper you applied on your S24U 😢
Sadly I realised that is AI generated 😢
It is worth noting that the AI capabilities of the S24 Ultra are already present in the previous models, making the purchase of the older models a wise and cost-effective decision.
The s24 ultra, Huawei mate x5 , Xiaomi mix fold 4 , One Plus Open 2, Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche fold , and Red Magic are the best
Just like S23 ultra S24 ultra is best phone of this year
The year's not over yet, you idio*. In September, the 16PM presentation
SGN20U have a bit bigger screen vs S24U (6.9" vs 6.8", if I recall correctly), so I agree with you. It's a bit pity that Samsung downgrade the Ultra series (which is usually bought by geeks & tech guys :) )
Yeah they can go back to 6.9 at minimum! Thanks for sharing :)
@@nickackermanchannelAnd also increase thickness a bit more, I personally like bulky and dense phones, inhand feel of 14Pro Max was better than 15PM and S24Ultra. I think they shouldn't work on Titanium and go back to Stainless Steel or atleast give it full titanium treatment instead of just comsmetic covering!
Sold it and bought 15PM. Couldn’t make any clear pictures on moving objects. And no, I don’t have time for Pro modus. I want to take it as quick as possible or moment is gone
Brother how do we know an 15 pro max is me the one who first set or boots up. original can you give an explanation 😊
He's finally filming in 4k
I wish the other 2 models had Wifi 7 too
It has weak battey and signal issues. Hopefully gets fixed 🙏 the European version.
Im on an s23 and 13 mini. Both are good for at least another 4 years.
17:46 yep, Galaxy Note 9 perfected it, worked flawlessly in the dark.
Have an iPhone 13 Pro max, almost done paying it off. I’m going to get s24 ultra , since I consume lots of video content & keep 13 for backup phone. Still great phone.
13 Pro Max is great, I think you're getting a really big upgrade with S24 Ultra, though!
great
Watching from my s24ultra
How are you liking it so far
I upgraded from S10+ to S24 Ultra it is a beast and I only got this 4 days ago.
People will be like. I like IOS because they feeling smoother(which translate because it is not snappy) They did not like how snappy blazing fast the samsung is compare to Iphone.
I’ve been out of my account for almost a month and I still want to switch to this from my iPhone because of touch screen issues and battery is not that great on mine
❤🎉
Has it had any heat issues??
Not in my use, which is nice because I have had issues with heat on some prior models like S22U and Notes
I had an S10 and now I have an S24.
This is the first time I've ever bought a new flagship model and felt like my old one was better.
I swear my display and cameras were better on my S10.
On the s24 ultra in the video, it says a full charge will last 3 days and 9hours, on mine it says a full charge will last 1 day and 4 hours.
Call quality great call my bro
i kept the S24 Ultra for a week and the battery would die too fast! Also it was already starting to slow down a tad. I ended up taking it back and just keeping my 15 Pro Max!
I miss the speed tests...lol
The lack of a microSD card slot is the one thing I don't like about this phone. I know many will say that microSD cards are slow and it's time to move on, but that statement is no longer true since Samsung is working on a microSD card that is capable of 800 MB/S speeds.
It's mainly to get ppl to buy the higher storage models instead of just 256GB
@@segunthepikachufan1470That wouldn't surprise me.
@@markclayburne5805 Well at least they give you a free storage upgrade when you preorder a new phone
I already have a S22 Ultra, so I didn't feel like upgrading.
This is a big upgrade from that phone
I’ have the S22U also im waiting crossing my fingers for a bigger upgrade with the S25U as of now im not giving this kind of cash 2 years later for a better battery life & flat display. I’m hoping the cameras get better on the S25U making it worth another 1300.00 bucks.
@@nickackermanchannel You're right. However, the cameras this year didn't get a huge upgrade. Samsung merely focused on improving on-device AI and performance. The minor camera enhancements are due to 8 Gen 3 and AI image processing. Next year, with the S25 Ultra, we might get improved camera hardware, so I'm hoping for that. I love the flat display this year. I found it challenging to install screen protectors on the curved displays.
@@katinasoutherland7693 Honestly, same here! Upgrading this year could mean that you’ve to use it for a few years with slight improvements in the main camera sensor, but if you wait for another year you might get much better camera hardware combined with a more powerful and capable Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and possibly some new AI features.
Can someone help me to say this phone is BETTER than iPhone 15 PM😂
Sure
THIS.......PHHHOOONE.......IS.........BEETTTTEEEER!
It's better, 1000000 percent
This phone is 100 times better than the iphone 15 pro max its a beast the iphone is just iphone no changes and nothing the galaxy s24 ultra has it all this phone is seriously phone of the year for me the iphone 15 pro max not so much love the 2 month review my man ❤❤❤
16:11 yeah yeah tell them to put a 10inch+ plus screen, then we are gonna carry it with our backpack 🎒 alwys!😂😂
this phone reminds me of the note 4,but better 💚
How to many s24
I upgraded my 13 pm and s10 to this
How has that been for you so far? Do you think it was worth it?
@@nickackermanchannel definitely a huge upgrade
14:05 even with 25w it's "fine"
If I could get all my data over such as my passwords and game data easily I would switch from my 13 pro
I can see that you're not as excited as last year when the s23 ultra is launched
8:19 💀😂
0:41 0:43
I have the s24u but thinking about this and give the s23u to my wife
The only thing that would make this better is if were on iOS instead
Batterylife now weaker than last uppdate.. hope they fix it same before uppdate.. its ok but weaker, and i make all tricks fix it but no..
Just upgraded to this from the 12 pro max. Been a ripper of a device so far.
The problem with Samsung phones they put out a new phone like every six months seems like. So if someone buys this phone, should they actually wait for the s25? 😂 I mean, imagine buying this phone and too months later, the new ultra comes out.
It doesn’t tho does it? Every year a new ultra comes out not every month.
@@JackHackett1 yeah and it takes about five months for Samsung to get the kinks out of the new ultra so by the time they send out enough updates to get the phone working right the new one is coming out five months later. Which will be the next best thing. So you see you get in this vicious cycle where you never have the latest and greatest unless you’re willing to buy a new ultra every year. That’s one reason I like iPhone because you can give someone an iPhone X and if you put the phone in a case, you wouldn’t be able to tell if it’s an iPhone 13 or not.
there haven't been any kinks with the S24U, I've had it since launch. Not realising a difference between the iPhone X and the newest one is actually a negative not a positive
@@Lonwolf.I'm sorry didn't iPhone release 14 pro with the camera shaking but didn't they release iPhone 15 with over heating issues 🤣
@@Chris34720 I want to bet 99% of the people aren’t noticing those problems. The only people noticing whether the camera is shaking are tech heads who do CZcams reviews 😂 the regular boy in high school or girl in high school or just man a woman who just wants a phone to communicate with family and friends aren’t noticing a shaking camera. 😂 and I don’t wanna get into the Iphone overheating because Samsung had the note 9 blowing up on people literally and catching people on fire. That’s the whole reason they’re afraid to increase the fast charging on the note because they don’t want that to happen again.
Download major title games and try playing with it.
It's a phone mate. Not a games console! 🤦♂️
Ps remote play plays perfectly on 1080p
Still happy with my S23 Ultra, no need to upgrade.
Just don't like the curves for everyday use so I upgraded. They are basically the same phone I just like the flat display for editing
Nice to see the Bible app.
The s24 is the best phone on the planet. The iphone doesn't even come close!
8:18 bruh ☠️
still iphone clears
Behave
Its pronounced neesh nick.👍🏻
Thanks, it tends to get pronounced in different ways!
