Beautiful reaction Zack. The wonderful archive of recordings with Angelina, from an early age, is a true heritage of humanity, giving us the wonderful vision of how a music star is born and evolves. To give you an idea, at the beginning Angelina talks to the pianist and informs him that she is playing the song in the key in which Ella sang it (Fitzgerald!) and he, with many more years of music behind him, doesn't know it. She did it and other musicians appreciate it. She has always been the director of her (the Boss) songs, which she sings in the way she deems most suitable for the song. But even if she is very professional she doesn't miss the opportunity to have fun, like in this test session.💛🧡❤

Pianist: "The Ella version"
Angelina: "Yes"
Pianist:" ???Why do you say that????"
Angelina: "Because now you played the Ella version!!"
Pianist:" Right? Did I?. Thanks!"

The early bit where they are laughing is when Angelina says "So this is the Ella version [of the song]" we're doing, after the pianist plays a note or two.... he hadn't realised but of course she was right and they had a laugh about it... That band is fantastic: they have played with her a lot when she was in Norway and they produced wonderful music together... and had a lot of fun doing so.
The same excellent band for her Norway concerts 2 summers ago, except for the drummer. Her guitarist is my favourite one.😏
my favorite version of Angelina performing this song is when she was 11 years old performing at the Proysenfestivalen 21 july 2017 she and the trombone player harmonize beautifully
Nice reaction, Zack. In my opinion, this band is the best band angelina has worked with and she's worked with them on a few concerts including last year's in Norway.

It' fun to see Angelina goofing around while sounding like a masterclass, at age 12 (or so). The musicians are her band when she's in Norway. They can be seen on her 2022 Norway concerts. They really get her. A great team. Thanks for doing this one, Zack!
I you look past the clowning around the incredible thing is that voice is coming from a 12 year old. If one closed their eyes and didn’t know who was singing there’s probably no way they would think it was a 12 year old.

Zack. That’s how she has fun and relax. The band members are adults. Yet there is so much respect, and understanding. Her family support was all there. The paid for all those practice sessions. . She was so fortunate to have a family who was not desperate for money. Family shield.

The reason I think she doesn't feel any age difference between her & her Grandma Mery is because her Mom, Sara, said Angelina has acted like an adult since she was 8.
There’s another one probably the same day where Uncle Mike is playing with his hair and gets her tickled. Also,if you look more closely, most of these band members were still with her for her concerts in Norway a couple years ago. They “understand”her and do such a great job for her!

What, are you trying to say that she wasn’t a kid at 12? I think we tend to forget that she is only 18 now, and she has been on the scene for a decade now, but she was a kid throughout that decade, and at 18 just barely a legal adult.

Others below have mentioned her truly magical outdoor stage performance of 'CMAR', an adult 'torch singer' song, at the 'Proysenfestivalen', fronting a different, but also quality band in 2017. She's just 11 years old! Proysen was a now long-deceased Norwegian artist of renown. Not to be missed, along with multiple other of her performances at that venue. So young, yet, so impossible good.
This the same band she did Christmas concerts with earlier in her carrier and did her concerts in Norway when she was 16.
