For years i've been told to watch this anime and for some reason i didn't think i'd enjoy it. Now, finally i was convinced thanks to my friends and i got to say, BOY WAS I WRONG! I've decided to make it my first anime reaction series on this channel. This is the first time I am watching Naruto so please no huge spoilers, however some foreshadowing might be forgiven! Try not to be to hard on Sakura..Sai share some blame by the whole you are hurting Naruto over a promise Naruto made..sakura was trying to get Naruto to let go of the promise to get him back home and safe..its not a act made out of being selfish bc she loves sasuke so she is sacrifing her heart for someone else and his safety.. Many fans just hate on her and don't try to look deeper at what was happening. Listen sakura made a mistake here but it was spurn on by the pressure by sai and shikamaru. Here's a thought, you think Naruto would stand down if his friends went there and told him we are going to kill sasuke..I remember when Naruto told sasuke he would break all his bones to bring him home in the final valley fight..I could see after that Naruto actually fighting them to keep them from killing sasuke..some fans might not believe that but Naruto is not going to allow them to do that..at least sakura path isn't resulting in broken bones and i am talking Naruto beating down his friends before they lay a hand on sasuke.

Sakura always thought she knew and understood Naruto, she never had a clue of who Naruto really was and what he really felt in the past as a child jinchuuriki.
Naruto has some of the best lines in this show. I am simply amazed whenever he says this line: I hate every person who is lying to him/herself. Great reaction! :D
Naruto really grew up after the Pain Arc. He’s still got a bit more growing to do though.

Suiigetsu mentions sasuke is killing people now when he was adamant about not killing before, Karin talks about how much darker and cold his chakra is, this IS sasukes lowest point. After all is said and done, sasuke is a good guy and the things he's doing right now aren't what "good" people do. (Still glad he killed danzo)

I mean, I think people are too harsh on Sakura, as usual. Sure she lied to him, but she only did it because she was thinking of Naruto's well being, she doesn't want him to spend his life chasing Sasuke and being at risk of being captured by the Akatsuki. Remember that Sakura wasn't only talking about the promise, Sakura went there to also tell Naruto that all the other teams were thinking of going to capture Sasuke or take him out. Could she have used other methods other than lying to him? Sure. But she is not selfish or self-centered. The whole reason she travelled to talk to Naruto was because she really cares about him, and she still loves Sasuke, imagine having to be okay with the thought that your friends are going to hunt down and kill the person you love, while convincing another not to "save" the one you love.

Naruto and sasuke aren't out of character they are what we call growing up. Naruto in the pain arc just realised that life is way complicated than it seems, sasuke just found out that his whole life was a lie, a terrible one. Naruto is sorting himself emotionally, while sasuke is puzzled more than ever. Sasuke and naruto are always subtly shown to be sides of same coin, both have their basics shaken and both are reacting differently.
And then we have Sakura, childish as ever. Like really? How do you even compare. I'd rather say she's very much in character, she has always been annoying. It's just that before this epi no one cared about her (despite all of the efforts no one could) but this move right here was really bad. Pre pain naruto would've fallen for that and the disaster of that lie🙄🙄

1) 11:56 the reason why he doesn’t remember her confession is because she literally “died” right in front of him like a few minutes after and Naruto got enraged, being consumed by the 9 tails chakra almost becoming the actual 9 tails. Just like what happened on tenchi bridge, Naruto didn’t remember what happened after he became face to face with Orochimaru.

Its's just my opinion that sakura was trying to develop romantic feelings with naruto becoz she also suffers from loving sasuke and she want naruto to be safe.
