  • Had to make this video when I struggled to separate the yellow electrical connection on the seat and couldn't find a video that covered the removal.

Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video. I have a B7 TDI with a passenger air bag MIL. Before trying to replace parts, always good to reset all the system components connectors. The passenger air bag occupant seat sensor and control module are installed beside the outside seat rail on the floor.

Shouldn't the title be about the yellow connector, and not removing the seat?

For those of you with a 2012 CC: Don’t remove the black piece on the yellow connectors. Once you push stationary clip to the side and get both yellow connectors to slide out of the rails: push down on the black piece on the connector wired to the car and pull the two connectors apart. The black piece going down allows just enough room for the yellow tab to release.
It takes a bit of force pushing down the black piece and pulling them apart. Then reinstalling you push the two together and the tab on the connector w/ black piece should snap back into place.

when sliding the black tab up do you need to pull it outward a bit as well.

For the yellow connector - I released the black cradle but the connector doesn't seem to want to pull out very much. Do I pull a bit harder to fully free it. I cant get the pick to pull the black tab up.

I had to pull up the black tab up then force it forward to take it off completely. It comes out almost at a 45 degree angle. Without the black retaining tab out, I don't think you'll get the yellow connector out

@@mancaveprojects4693 done it great Info and video. Just realised I wouldn't have been able to fit new leather seats in my scirocco without this video so many thanks

Good effort - too verbose until getting to the point of the video
