- Hey cuties! 🧁 I know I promised more frequent uploads but I spent most of February with tonsil problems and my voice was just not there. You'll notice in this video too, it's not my "youtube voice" anymore, but just meh. Struggling through editing aside, I just thought this would be a fun idea to do, as I have thousands of Valheim screenshots from the very early days, all the way until now.
And yes I did miss it by a day, but during exporting last night my intro got corrupted and I had to re-record and was just not having an easy time with this one.
Once again, any similarities in builds are purely coincidental, I try not to watch other builders and I always credit where needed.

Can I bug u w a question? I envy that you were able to maintain the same game over so long. Everytime I go back in, I feel like I can't get immersed unless I start completely over. Which has done good for my building, cuz I always go for a big build, no cheats, no mods, just straight vanilla, but I would like a world to keep and add to forever. How do you stay immersed in the same play through for so long? Honestly curious

@@user-ce1qr8gb8x I don't play the game 24/7, I take breaks just like anyone else :) but sometimes I see a buildpiece, or something in the real world, that inspires me to come back to Valheim and try and create something by using the limited pieces I have. I also kind of enjoy the fact that I made my base wall so early on, and now I feel "limited" to this space and I try very hard to fit everything in it. I just enjoy the challenge of creating things and making things work, even if you'd think they wouldn't!
It also helps to disable raids during building, and just supplying everything by yourself. I usually put on casual clothes while building and it really helps my immersion and feeling like I'm actually there, doing it, and enjoying the sun on my skin.
This probably doesn't help, but if it does then yay!
I like how calm and down to earth all of this is... You just built some base that has no purpose besides feeling like home and that's an incredibly wholesome thing to see and hear about.

tarted Valheim about 2 months ago. Been hooked ever since. Occurs to me now that my 9yr-old will absolutely love the build features. She's a beast at Minecraft and Fortnite builds and once i show her THIS video, she will most definitely be hooked! Thank you!
Just a bunch of random thoughts while watching your video:
- it’s funny how the buildings changed over time, became more detailed and complicated, but the same vibe is still there;
- i always liked the combination of coniferous trees and valleys, i think it looks gorgeous;
- every real artist should have his own “blue” period, or at least a room 😉
- you can definitely see how the stairs became more and more convincing over time;)
Overall a very nice video, hope it will become an annual tradition for you to show how your world grows with you and with updates coming in the future.

See that's kinda my problem. I always start a new adventure, but I would love to keep just one world and add to it, but I have a hard time keeping immersion.
@@Samaramon By the time Mistland came out I was fully engaged in Elden Ring and other games, I kinda lost track of the updates in Valheim, only recently I felt the urge to play it again, but at this point I thought It'll be better if I just wait for Ashlands and enjoy a lot of new content at once, Mistlands and Hildir's quest included !

randomly clicked this video pretty interesting how your building skills developed from the original build, very nice location you choose in the first place probably the most important part of starting a build. I occasionally go back to my original big build and have renovated twice since I started building makes me abit sad no one is there anymore out of the crew I started with so it kind of has a empty feel. I like your decorating style btw has a very pink vibe to it ;)

These are really nice buildings.
Among them, the interior is especially stylish.

Drawers and hangers are the best.
I want to imitate it and make it.
I like to just explore around the map, find a spot and just build something that suits it.
I have specific islands I use to harvest material.

Very sweet, immersive builds. I like it when aesthetic builds can still retain a sense of real function.
That's what I aim to do, have it be functional and feel lived-in! I try to keep all my buildings connected by roads too ^^

New content gets added into unexplored areas only, so I try not to explore TOO much ^^ So far the new content implementation has always gone smoothly!

I always mean to build something like that, but I'm a pathological restarter so I never get there. I have easily 100+ starts behind me, looking for that perfect pond and stream where I could finally settle for good and just build.

Heya, I have a wall fully enclosing the base and about a dozen of ballistae, along with 2-star wolves patrolling the area :)
I'm new to valheim, got a steamdeck and am loving playing it. But what is that purple/pink egg thing?? That's the first time I'm seeing it!!
It come from the mountain area. 4th biome you get to.
I still have my 2021 single player game my first house was/is terrible but dont have the heart to demolish it I only use one mod to make the troll animations different and scary looking.

Just keep in mind, this was made at launch and generation has changed a lot since then, so it won't be identical. But it's a pretty good seed!

They are behind the fence and under the maypole, you can see them at 4:53 :)
I love it, and I love the clutter. I finally finished up my lil city as well in anticipation for the mistlands. I went back through the screenshots over the past 2-3 years to see what it looked like before, and after, and it's crazy how much things change. I just wish they would optimize the instance load. With everything turned on high,, and no performance mods, the fps kills in some spots. I made a video here: czcams.com/video/3ojBNLsrO3g/video.html I do have a couple QOL mods installed, like the backpack, and the crop replanting. Because I can't stand to 1x1 1000s of plants every time I need to harvest. And having to come back to drop heavy items off every time you pick up a single stack annoyed me, so I went for the backpack to solve that problem. Other than that, no mods.

It's still Early access, the game is still being actively developed. Considering I bought it for so cheap 3 years ago and I'm STILL having endless fun in it, I'd say content is what YOU make of it ^^
