I am skeptical about the use of heeng ( asafoetida ) in Tabak Maaz because this spice is used exclusively by Kashmiri Pandits amongst Kashmiris. Tabak Maaz is tasty but it is ribs fried in ghee so it is probably laden with saturated fat and cholesterol. You have been warned........

It's not real authentic tabak maaz recipe.... Never used turmeric, ginger, garlic..... Colour should be white and when u fry it in slow heat, it looks white brownish in colour... Amazing
