Jeff is happy - he is on stage with a superhuman.... Jeff on the other hand was a genius...but the raw power of SRV back then was something magical...something mystical...something with brute force....one had to witness to believe...Jeff is witnessing it....
Stevie Ray Vaughn was brilliant. I didn't appreciate him as much as I should have growing up in this era. I was a Clapton, Page and Eddie VH fan, but somehow I missed Stevie. I've got him now.
You've got to understand, the crap being produced today is blindly accepted as music. THIS is music, people! And as a sidebar, rap IS NOT music. Any genre of music (country, gospel, rock, boogie-woogie, classical, etc.) can be played on the piano or hummed. Try humming a rap "song". Can't be done!
@Emperor- I agree. Rap is like percussion. There are truly great drummers, but when you really look at it, they can't even play Jingle Bells on a set of drums. It really isn't true music.
EmperorGluteusMaximus rap IS music to me though. I like Eminem and Srv. Why is it such an issue with people? Why do you dictate what is and what isn't music?

I WAS AT THIS SHOW!!!!! I always see other people say that, and finally someone posted something I saw live! And, not only that, but out of the close to 300 pro groups I've seen, that night goes down as my favorite guitar performance. Too bad the entire encore song, "Going Down" isn't here. The song contained yet another barrage of solo's between Stevie & Jeff, but hopefully the entire concert will be released some day. That evening was Stevie Ray's 3rd anniversary for being clean and sober. He testified by word and by axe. A fire axe cause he was on fire!! As for Jeff - Incredible!! It was his "Guitar Shop" tour and the sounds and screaming solos were all there. He even broke a Strat for good measure!! It was as if the spirit of Hendrix filled the entire night.... I mean dont get me wrong you rehearse stuff but in soloing and just being on stage its very different from practice time and when you're on stage thats when SRV lets out his true colors unscripted. Only thing important is he has to be in the proper key and everything else follows his command on stage.
Amen bro
I agree. Stevie had something special that can't be described with words. It's more like a feeling that runs through you. I get very excited when I hear Stevie play. God I miss him
Yes yes, two of the best right there and you could tell they were having a blast. I do have to say though, keep your eye on this person. Taj Farrant. He's from Australia and he's only 10 yrs old. Seriously if you have never heard him play, do yourself a favor and just listen to him once. What will he be like at 20 yrs old??? check it.....czcams.com/video/87eB1ttgZSE/video.html
Stevie was burning it down 🔥 but Jeff was right there with him! 🔥
Amazing performance from both!
RIP SRV and Jeff Beck. I saw them play together in 1989 at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles. This was the exact song they did together for the encore. It was amazing to see them play together!
same thing at the Centrum in Worcester - fire and fury tour
2 of the greatest Strat players of all time let along guitar players of all time.
I had the honor of seeing him live, twice. And he simply blistered the guitar, no other way to say it.
RIP Jeff Beck. Jammin' in heaven with Stevie.
There are no words to describe how fabulous these guys are playing with and off each other. OMG SRV w Jeff Beck.
Rest in peace you two , heaven is rockin tonite !
Jeff is happy - he is on stage with a superhuman.... Jeff on the other hand was a genius...but the raw power of SRV back then was something magical...something mystical...something with brute force....one had to witness to believe...Jeff is witnessing it....
REAL ON EARTH....
As a guitarist Beck was at least Vaughan's equal in every way.
Stevie Ray Vaughn was brilliant. I didn't appreciate him as much as I should have growing up in this era. I was a Clapton, Page and Eddie VH fan, but somehow I missed Stevie. I've got him now.
Who needs lyrics when you have these 2 guitar gods on stage together.... OMG
My wife and I saw Jeff and Stevie Ray perform together in Dallas the State Fair Coliseum. Unforgettable is all I can say. RIP Jeff.
One of the best 🇬🇧🎸& one of the best 🇺🇲🎸👍
I love watching this video because I see the joy on the faces of these two masters of their craft.
It's absolutely beautiful to experience.
Two legends are jamming up above today! 😢😭 R.I.P. Stevie & Jeff! You both will forever be remembered as two of the very best!
How could anyone give this video a thumbs down?
They have a chub for Brittany Spears.

Percussion alone not music? Ever heard John Bonham tell the story of Moby Dick though drums alone? Tell me this here isn't "music"!

I was at this show. Freshman year at AU. Missed the last bus to the metro and was stranded in Landover. One of the best nights of my life.
This never gets old. Classic electric guitar playing.
this was one of the most face melting solos I ever heard stevie do!!!! omggggg
Two guitar virtuoso's in their own right. I was blessed to be at the show before this one.. 1st set Jeff Beck did "Guitar Shop" then 2nd set SRV, 3rd set together, encore Stevie did Hendrix(Voodoo Child, R U Experienced that flowed right into 3rd Stne from the Sun) I'm still speachless!
I would have given my left arm to see that show Lucky you.
saw that same lineup in dayton weirdest part arena was little over half full spent most of show within 10 feet of stage🤯.
I miss Jeff Beck and SRV, I am so privileged have seen both of these Gentlemen twice!
What A Great Combination Of
Incomparable Talent!
R I P
Stevie Ray & Jeff Beck
There both amazing guitarists in there own way... But Jeff Becks career and the way he never settled for a certain style is refreshing...listen too the albumn truth or blow by blow for some classic Jeff beck....Srv is amazing I feel he was evolving as a guitarist before his accident...give Rivera paradise a listen from his last albumn he wasn't just a bluesman played some beautiful jazz too.... Keep good music alive everyone !!!
Truth of fantastic start to finish
I saw this tour two weeks after this performance and I’ll never forget it. Two of the greatest Strat players ever.
5/11/2023: At 66 I got this song in my head…..so look it up…. and I find this…thank you very much.
Two of the absolute best of all time without a doubt. So glad I saw this tour... and so sad they're both gone.
Saw them play this at a concert in Miami Nov. 1989. It was awesome! R.I.P. Jeff Beck
Very difficult to find a cover that does Freddie justice. Leave it to Jeff and Stevie to fix that problem.
True.. check out John Mayer jamming this great stuff👌
pssst I know it has been 4 years but If you like this version check out the one by Stone the Crow.

Try Jeff with Beth Hart, Tal Blenkenfeld, Lizzie Ball, & a fabulous drummer at the Crossroads guitar festival from 2013.
It looks like Jeff cant take his eyes off Stevie. SRV is definitely mesmerizing. My all time favorite guitar player. I still miss him
Crankin this in memory of Stevie Ray Vaughan on Stevie's 68th birthday. You are missed SRV. Thank you for your great music and outstanding memories like this one. You were 100% straight fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥 R.I.P.
Anyhow, THANK YOU SRVMusicVideo FOR SHARING!!!!!!!!
I was at this show too!!Had the pleasure of seeing SRV 15 times in 5 years, with the first show at the Aragon Ballroom with Albert Collins in '84( drove my dads Pinto to the show ta 16yrs old) and Bluesfest in '85 and also at Legends with Buddy in'89. Was at Legends the night b4 he died and Dave Mason, Buddy Miles and Willie Dixon jammed with Buddy. All night Buddy said "he'll be here" and at the end of the night Buddy said "I guess i'll have to go get him" Love Ya SRV!!!!
Thank you, Jim for your message. I appreciate your story about Buddy Miles. Buddy was a personal friend and I wasn't aware of the Mason, Miles & Dixon jam. I bet that was awesome!! I sure miss my 'ol Buddy. Guess I'll have to go get him some day. Rest easy Stevie Ray & Buddy.
Jim Marquardt Lucky you. Saw the very new Stevie at the El Paso County Coliseum in '84, I saw his next to last show...damn!
Overlovin' You at Monterey Pop!
dulcimerz2drumstix man! That's just killer guitar man!
Your mind must have been blown away that night!
Just the intensity level itself would ensure that
You would never be the same after that!! Thanks
For sharing that ! Very inspirational!
Holy Shit! That rocks my Plimsoul. SRV and Jeff Beck........Oh My God.
😆
I hope they're rocking the free world up there in heaven.
Beck one of the few that would get up there and cut heads with SRV. And he loved it.
Prayers for Jeff Beck's family.
Two amazing guitar virtuoso's on the same stage. The great rock band in the sky just got some more talent. Rock 'n' blues never dies 🎸❤️
I was so blessed to see this encore on the fire and fury tour. Jeff and Stevie look to be having so much fun!
Is it my imagination or did Stevie just teach Jeff what soul is? Both great guys, great guitarists ❤️ RIP and salute to these masters. Stevie, though...Stevie has the vibe and the groove and his voice is R&B perfection.
this is the power of Stevie Ray live,he's so great! and Jeff Beck plays nasty rhythm & lights up a solo too, this is magic happening here people!
SRV was just incredible and beck as great as he is just doesnt get it done.SRV had that guitar smoking,i mean its truly amazing to watch a guy do that live..Has he ever missed a lick on that guitar?he was something very special and imo the greatest guitar player ever!..Just imagine if he would have lived another 30 years what he would have done..thats the sad part..SRV was just getting started..same with hendrix..my god the music they both would have made with age would have been awesome..Anyway fly on SRV..
First time watching this and I have goosebumps over my entire body.
JEFF HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY GUITARIST OF MY ERA. I love his Style. Now STEVE HE IS MY MENTOR IN BLUES & JAZZ. DOC MAGOO PJ VIETNAM JEFF Z.
