There's actually another wither skelly farm that DOESN'T require any spawn proofing. You just need to find a fortress in a soul sand biome.
i don't think any requires spawn proofing, only requires it on nether bricks to be spawn proofed, wither skeletons don't spawn outside the fortress?
@@eefy4216it does not make a difference if the mobs that spawn are wither skalletons or not (the mob cap is filled equally) , what maters is that no mob spawn so in this farm you have to spawn proof everyting

@@eefy4216 it will matter because other nether mobs that spawn outside the fortress will take up the mob cap which will slow down the farm. Spawn proofing is to ensure the game focuses solely on spawning mobs in your farm, then it will decide what fortress mobs can spawn

Would you post my original video link of the farm you used. You linked to a person who did a tutorial of my farm. I put 100s of hours into designing these farms/machines and people giving me credit is the only way I grow my channel. Thanks!
shulkercraft steals farms from many ppl especialy in their older vids their crediting sucks :/
1. He prob didnt know it was your farm, after all i doubt he would search the internet to find an original. 2. i doubt u put 100's of hours into a design to basically just spawn proof a large area.
@@Cryptxx I designed 1000s of farms/machines over the last 13+ years of playing MC. Anyone can confirm this looking at my archived twitch streams.
@@Cryptxx 1. If you are just copying farms from other channels to make tutorials, you should do your due diligence and find the original creators to properly credit. Giving people credit is extremely important. It's why copyright laws exist. I understand Minecraft is "just a game, why care so much!?!?". For the creators who make videos about these farms it does matter that their work is credited as they deserve the views if they came up with the original design.

i think its slabs so that if you are building in a basalt delta then if you have magma cubes that can spawn on lava

Instead of slabing everything could you just cover at least a large majority with lava ? Would that be quicker to setup ? Then only slab exactly what you need to ?
@@iotlek there are many mobs who can spawn of lava also, on flowing lava not source blocks. They include mostly every nether mob except skeleton

Covering some area with carpets around your spawning platform = more spawn ( cause spawns on the carpets get redirected to the spawning platform

FYI you should have made your wither skeleton farm in a soul sand valley biome so that you don't have to slab it all up because of the way that mob spawning works in that biome you don't need to slab it.

Also just mining the surroundings to a farm is probably faster and gives you all the netherbricks you need for fortress farms...

I once built such a thing, it was a lot of work. I just removed the big part of the fortress and didn't care about the rest of the world. It worked well enough and saved a lot of slabbing.

You could make a simple sorting system as well that sends the stone swords into lava, and separates the bones, wither skulls and coal in their own chests if you wanna make it even fancier.

All those slabs look really epic, like a fat layer of ash from a huge volcanic eruption. Which is something I sometimes miss in minecraft, ash and soot.
I'm in awe of the ingenuity of vanilla Minecraft players to figure things like this out. I admire your patience and diligence.

Shulkercraft is not the creator of the farms. He mainly recreates other farms from other Minecraft CZcamsrs (for example raysworks) and make them a step by step guide.

You could have built it over a soul sand valley, then you only need to spawnproof the fortress.
Although you do get ghasts and skeletons which are annoying during the build, and will drop the spawn rate of the wither skeletons a bit. So if you really wanted to min-max then fair enough.
A question for the future
Would it not be easier to cover large portions of land in lava instead of slabs?
Wadzee should make a museum with every type of attainable block or item in the game

I want to say this so many times that you can just use another item sorter, for items that you dont want to be sortered in chests, like for example maybe the stone sword? You can just make a sorterer that will throw away items with droppers to lavas if the item is not matching with any of the item sorter

dude. i spent 3 days (real days) making this freaking horrible farm, countless slabs (and trust me wood slabs isnt a really fireproof which i havent though about at first) MANY piglins.... just too much because thoses dumbies got killed or felt on the way to their new home.

Add a sorter into the system near the top to split off the stone swords and dispense them into lava :D
Suggestion: Turn your house into like a multi-biome area, and your house is like in the middle of all of them, each part of your house relating to the biome it’s in. Also, appreciate how much work you put into these videos

As someone who frequently loses pets during long explorations, I forget that not everyone knows that they have a limit on how far they can teleport
When im watching this so many times i always realized how painful to do this.. Like clicking the mouse to place a block so many times in a day.. My fingers will be broken by now by trying to do this thing.. And the patience of this man is absolutely INSANE..
