My question is how do you assure you mounts perfect so the 3" flange on the bar covers the plastic mount ?

Not sure I completely understand your question. If you are asking if our mounting plate is 3”, then just about 2.98" round. If you line everything up perfectly, then yes, depending on the flange of the bar, it can cover the mount. However, most flanges have pinned notches and will not go over the mount. Then the mounting plate is exposed on the edges. Let me know if you have any other questions.
      Thank you

Thanks, I need to install a grab bar on the outside edge of the fiberglass shower enclosure. It's about 3 1/4" wide sort of a stiffener around the perimeter. Don't know what is inside this area, but a stud is centered behind that stiffner. Can this anchor type device be used?
