I say this as a non-Christian: I think Kirbo is a very wholesome Christian here. He does extensive public service, brings the Gospel to the other residents of Dreamland, and gives away his belongings to those who need them more. And he's constantly saving the universe from dark forces to boot. He's doing the things that Jesus asked of his followers.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but I find it so sweet that Belmont, Luigi, and Kirbo not only invited his bud Alucard to this get-together for the holidays, but Alucard felt safe enough to attend, even knowing the religious practice of the hosts could be a danger to him. There wasn't anything indicating he was forced to attend or stay, and there was even a moment taken out of prayer to assure him that he was fully welcomed in this space. That is being a good host, and I am very heartwarmed to see it.

I just realized that Alucard was worried because he’s half-vampire and going to the Christmas party of two very devout Christians. So seeing Simon calm him down at 1:32 is actually very sweet.
Also he’s right next to the vampire killer/morning star and being a vampire he indeed NEEDED to be invited in (or maybe he knew about Kirbo’s crusade and was afraid).

Alucard has holy blood from his mother's side of the family (hence why he can wield holy weapons). It's just that his father waged war on God and humanity after Lisa was executed for supposed witchcraft, and some past wounds can run a bit deep

So believe it or not, Alucard actually has holy lineage from his mother Lisa (it's why he can use holy weapons like Holy Water, the Cross, or the Holy Sword without getting hurt). Nerd moment aside, I'd assume religion, and especially Christmas, is still a bit of an uncomfortable area for Alucard, so Simon's reassurance was very cute. Who knows, maybe he'll invite Richter and Maria for next year's Christmas
