I’m a 28 year old man, and I started using cannabis for my ASD (severe sensory overload that causes physical pain in my brain) and central fatigue. A VERY fast acting substance with almost miraculous effects (the inhibition of glutamatergic receptors).
Two side effects I have noticed, is laziness and a lack of motivation, and desire to be stoned a lot of the time, as my sensory perceptions are much more pleasurable when high.
I wouldn’t change cannabis for the world. If you use it for a medicinal purpose or use it wisely, it can be a tool for development. I was housebound in silence due to my sensory issues, and nothing worked until I met cannabis.

I have one comment on consuming and driving: what makes a safe driver? The ability to react or the consideration to think ahead? I can only say that the drivers here in germany are incredibly rough and aggressiv and when I see youth driving under the influence they become much more relaxed, taking larger turns, driving slower and generally not taking risks I know drivers who are “rational” are culturally inclined to do. So I think it depends on context. If you are taking a freeway best be clear, because reaction time is of importance. When it comes down to social driving I think influence can reduce aggression and risk taking.

One helpful clue is birthday for usefully sorting our various neural parameters. We need to rescue birthday from the archaic notions of astrology and realize birthday is a fundamental dimension of solar energy differences in the developing infant's environment that humans have evolved to respond to with systematic differences in neural development. Currently, we limit our sorting mostly to genetics but including birthday will mean significant progress in understanding and dealing with the variety of responses to cannabis.

It is useful information for me.
I have tried thc for pain issues , post surgery, repeated surgeries.
This was directed by a medical doctor.
it gave me a general sense of discomfort, perhaps more suspicious and less productive.
imo, the single greatest practice to improve mood, improve mobility and lessen negativity is cardiovascular exercise.
Exercise also builds a person's self awareness and builds confidence.
My question therefore is....Why do younger people , (the biggest user group of cannabis) not employ more exercise to combat their physical health and mental health issues?
Body mass has obviously increased in the younger generations, and because of this athletism has decreased, mobility has decreased etc.
I will say that I was a longterm heavy user of the strongest of the opiods for multiple post surgery pain, it didn't work either
I am not as pure as the driven snow , myself.
I am simply asking the question after personal experience.

I cannot speak for us and Canada, however here in Europe I can guarantee that a lot of the side effects correlated with marijuana use are from secondary substances that were added to the batch in order to sell better on the black market. When looking at studies with certified medical marijuana the harm seems reduced. I have heard of jitteryness and anxiety in some individuals due to their body processing high amounts of CBD differently. So if it’s anxiety that is triggered, it may have to do with that aspect.
All said and done, you may just not respond positively to weed on a biological level which can happen. Hope you found something that works for you.

That has nothing to do with my comment. .. that is MAYBE from addiction. Mental addiction as well, being that you wouldn't have an adverse side effect physically from quitting. It made you anxious and depressed? Which is something intoxicants can do. Too much or too little on the dosing or bad product to start with. Because I have been smoking for 15 years without it causing those side effects. Infact if most people who do smoke regularly you're story would be rare and I would care to say MMJ was not your problem. Just a facet for you to blame when there is a deeper seeded issue.
