- "Roundabout" is a song by the English progressive rock band Yes. It is the first single released from their fourth studio album, Fragile (1971). "Roundabout" has become one of the best-known songs by Yes.
"Roundabout" has become one of the best-known Yes songs; it has been performed at nearly every concert since November 1971 and is their most played song live.
Written by singer Jon Anderson and guitarist Steve Howe during The Yes Album Tour, the lyrics are obscure, and have been the subject of much debate on music discussion sites. The most commonly accepted interpretation is that the lyrics are about the personal life of Jon Anderson and his hoped-for return home after the tour ends. - Hudba
Just a group of insanely talented musicians
Absolutely Awesome
oh yeah....tight
I saw them play this in concert at the Sacramento Auditorium, CA, before Rick Wakeman was in the band. They opened for Jethro Tull. Front row center and the best concert I have ever seen. Steve Howe awed the audience to total silence before a delayed bursst of applause. Amazing.
lucky you!!! so tight!!
Saw them the same year november 1971 in Germany too, Rick was not there, was the former keyplayer but already with Steve Howe, last song was the just released Roundabout then !!! I was 15 years old then.
Magicians n Masterpieces
You know how a lot of music from the 60's and 70's didn't age well? This shit is more impressive now then it was then. Thanks for posting this.
Top example of that is The Beatles!
Those germanium transistors in those vintage effects pedals did WONDERS for prog rock, and this band.....
Un Chef-d oeuvre point a la ligne !

Is that Bruford on drums? Or Alan White?
I think Buford...they played at my small college in Nov 1971 and Buford was with them then
That does not look or sound like Bill Bruford. Are we sure that concert was in 71?
@@Biffer5 Seems to be the Yessongs movie. Part with Bruford, mainly Alan White on drums. Not 1971 : they played Close to the Edge on the live record (and movie)
