You know what I like about this? From the sound of it, they're using the original premiere soundtrack, even for the graveyard. Not the Danny Elfman version.
Thanks for sharing. I'm visiting Tokyo Disneyland for the first time in August 2023. When does it usually close for refurbishment/how long for? I'm worried Haunted Mansion will be closed for the re-theme :(
this just goes to show you that they COULD do this in WDW. but for whatever reason, they choose not to. also, i wonder why they do the stretching room different from DLR?
From what I understand, WDW management didn't want to shut down the Haunted Mansion for a few weeks since new tourists are coming every week. Tokyo and California are parks aimed for Locals which is why you see more seasonal ride overlays compared to Disney World. Also most of the tourists that go to WDW only go once a year. Imagine saving up for years and going to WDW only for the Haunted Mansion to be closed or transformed into something else.
Those are overlays that happen during a paid ticketed event. They can run the attraction like regular in the morning and then “flick a switch” and switch it to the overlayed version. It’s much less complicated than taking 2-3 weeks to completely retheme an attraction.
@@LMGVids oh i know, i totally get it. taking down HM in WDW for a few weeks is a big thing. MK has less to do overall than DL. so that's a lot of tourists to disperse.
Wish that this Haunted Mansion got update/refurbished kinda does need one. It haven't been touch for years, including the Hatbox Ghost wouldn't be a bad addition.

He hasn’t even been added to Disney world yet, it’s going to be a while at the current rate
I think the tokyo mansion is fine the way it is but the addition of the hat box ghost would be cool
