Prince had an unusually high output musically. Dude had some scrapped movies in there too like second coming and shit. Even a work print of purple rain with some different scenes. The part where the quality gets hilariously low in purple rain is from it. And him fighting jellybean is in there too. Lots of other clips from the trailers that didn’t show up in the movie are in the workprint

Eminem had another scrapped project that he talked about in Rolling Stone magazine at the time. It didn't really have a title, but everyone kept referring to it as "The Funeral", and Eminem did a bunch of photo shoots with himself in a casket, as even back in 2005-2006, he wanted to end the Slim Shady character. I don't think the project got very far, as he was burnt out. So it got scrapped for Curtain Call. Ironically, here in 2024, he's circled back around to that idea with "The Death of Slim Shady: Coup de Gras".
King Mathers LP - 2006 to 2007 he was going through a lot during this time and I don’t think the music that he was going to put out at that time was going to be any good. I know this scrapped album was supposed to come out sometime in 2007 but what if he re recorded those songs with his new style and officially released it. Since he’s been sober for 16 years now and I think it would be dope. He’s no longer on drugs so this scrapped album known as “King Mathers” could be one of his best albums compared to when it was originally going to be released in 2007.

There was a finished a finished version for in case he did die. When he went in the hospital for “pneumonia” (when he overdosed) they were scrambling to put it out because it was likely he was going to die. But he ended up making it out so ultimately once he got sober the first time he was making more music still in the KM theme then he got addicted again went back to rehab came back out and finished beautiful then the warm up sessions for relapse started.
Tip and Shady(in his prime) would have been a really fun and crazy collab. As a Royce fan, It's great to see Bad Meets Evil on the same page again. A mutual friendship with Proof was a part of those two getting past their issues and moving forward.
Royce recently said in an interview that there will most likely be another Bad Meets Evil project. He and D12 had beef, Em didn't react to it at all, neither in songs nor in interviews.
*a lot of relapse was recorded in 08 only 3 songs (originally on detox) difficult was never gonna be on king Mathers. Eminem stated already there was no intent for that one. He made “several” dedication tracks none of them he said were good enough for proof. TI made a song with em called alter egos touchdown and 2 more touchdown ended up on TIs album. I get money was a quick freestyle made for the album. Everything (I Do) was originally recorded on touchdown (this was determined by touchdowns drums being in the headphone bleed all over it). We know as well: never gave a fuck (feat. Ca$his & 50 Cent) was made during this time. Same with rain on me and keys to the city. There is no curtains that t would’ve been present originally the breaking news skit was separate from CWYWF in the last version made of km. The last version of km had more full tracks and less freestyles while we don’t know which made the cut or were expanded into full songs . We know CWYWF, Keys to the city, Rain on me, a TI collab, Syllables, NGAF and beautiful were on it. And possibly A bishop Lamont collab, (and a version of stepping stones).

@@chrisschultz330 it is this is the only song em deemed good enough from those km sessions to make it on the album (while some of it is probably not entirely from the km sessions) it’s still an amazing track. Original version of beautiful does not have the sample btw.
Some of the beginning here is all mixed up. King Mathers was almost finished, but scrapped after Em’s OD around Christmas of 2007.
After that, he went through rehab again and basically had to learn how to rap all over again, which is when Relapse began being worked on in around 2008-2009.

You're referring to the Sraight From The Vault EP, which also had the tracks "G.O.A.T." & "THE APPLE", and this was never supposed to be King Mathers.. Certain fans just like to believe and say that it was.
I’ve had plenty of people tell me otherwise. So idk what to believe anymore unless you have proof or something i’d be glad to look into it further
those songs were originally for an album called "King Mathers". Straight From The Vault EP is a fan made title and it's taking songs from 2007-2008 era.

Another little tidbit is that at the very start of Everything I Do you can hear I Get Money beat fading out which could possibly mean that King Mathers was a mixtape and not a full studio album as some of the tracks are pretty short and he’s using already used beats like I Get Money

Not all of king mathers leaked there is still keys to the city and never gave a f#ck and there was 20-30 songs in the vault that em made with the bass brothers

Im not 100% convinced but as a late 90s Stan I can tell you hes not the same as he once was. Everything changed about him around the time of the recovery album. His voice, his style, his music, even his eyes seem different. 🤷🏻

To tell you honestly elevator may have been conceptualized and the hook may have been recorded during km. Bass bros stated almost two albums worth of mmlp sardonic humor was recorded. (During the km sessions) So it’s very possible more were re-recorded with accents. If I had to guess 3AM and Taking my ball are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. While EM was most likely unaware they were intentionally making it so if he died they’d have plenty of music like Ca$his recording over 200 songs with em it definitely was finished they had plenty of tracks for several albums in case em died.
