Your Shopify Edition Summer 23 Walkthrough Demo was a great help. After, look at the video a couple times I was able to succeed at editing my changes I needed. Now, I am happy with it but, I know there's so much more work to do.

Most of these features do not seem to be available to my shop. Are they only available for some subscriptions or certain themes?

Should probably increase the amount of supported countries for shopify payment checkout. Just created a shopify store been struggling to find a payment provider. Most companies listed on shopify that apparently is supported in my country is not actually.

Just looking at the staging/new store creation process, and I see that there is an Import theme option. What is the situation here with themes and theme licensing?
Does this just drag through an unlicensed version of a theme and thereby putting the merchant store in risk of a DCMA? Or does it indicate to a merchant that they are required to purchase a new version of the theme on any new store?
I'd assume for a dev store it dupes the theme, for a clone production store I'd hope it installs a trial version of the theme importing JSON settings only.
But really the should cement the policy for staging environments either being able to have a dev theme by default or if even dev themes must have yet another license. Along with git repo policies.
My mind is blown. 10+ years in Shopify now, amazed every update.
So the subscription billing frequency will be the same than delivery frequency. Am I correct?

I’ve been trying to get my store to show up on CZcams for three days. It says there’s a miss representation or something like that. I don’t understand what I need to do.

We don't seem to have any of these updates are they theme specific?
I was expecting a coupon section at checkout that shows all the coupon codes available or applicable to the customer's cart, the customer could then could choose any one of them that best suits them. It has become kind of a basic features on ecommerce stores now a days.
A simple notify me when back in stock function would be great.
How about a simple but essential update like order forms or packing slips that contain item images , price and total amount??, this seems so essential and basic that I shouldn't have to have an app to print this. If I am missing where it is as a newer user I appreciate the guidance. thanks!
You have to uspade this in your settings. They've had it for years.
The live aspect of this was very confusing. I didn't figure it out until 30 minutes into the presentation. The link after sign up just went to a static page that linked to the website pages. I'm not sure how I eventually stumbled onto this CZcams and figured it out.
I struggled a bit, too. When in doubt, CZcams it out! 💪🏼

It's a Plus feature, doubtful it ever would be generally available for years to come.
"one page" isn't magic Plus stores should do validation testing , and most general merchants would never even consider the idea of testing just slapping it on because it's "one" page regardless of any validation testing and possible detriment.
Why can't I see many of the features on my Shopify? I have the Shopify (middle tier) plan.

This all looks good for Shopify plus users….I felt a little gaslighted at the start when the presenter said most of the new features would apply to everyone…..the first few I tried that were interesting for me, don’t apply to basic users…..did you ever consider that the way to get us to become plus users is to give us enhanced tool to grow our businesses?

I wish you could add more then 10 items to the bundles. We need to be able to add at least 35 items for our b2b bundles.

Because we get tired of the wrong addresses. Adresses without house numbers etc. That way we have to manually ask house number + manually add (copy-paste-copy-paste-copy-paste-copy-paste-copy-paste-copy-paste-) all information of the order to our fulfilment company software. Please add this, so we can implement address validation apps or API's.
I switched my shopify $30 store to a promotional $1 store and now i can't go back to my previous store with all the work already completed..Any ideas?
I am new to Shopify and trying to learn different things to make my store better. I am not able to find Collective (retailer) and Shop apps as suggested by you. Also not sure how to use metafields and how to make product page dynamic after adding Rows section to show more images and description.

Hi, great video! such good explanation. If I have paid for a partner theme do I still have these features? I really regret buying a theme from a 3rd party. I didn’t really understand that shopify wouldn’t be a lot to help me as much anymore.

@@derek7440 Shopify acts like we are hallucinating and pretends like there is no "official Shopify Subscription" app. But they clearly say and show it here in the video. Maybe the subscription app industry has shitstormed them and now they are trying to pull out.

Opening a store may be easy but try to close an existing one. Good luck finding someone to talk to, and the "online support" which is chat and email only is to repeat the same things over and over again. This is my personal experience.

Why doesn't Shopify offer assistance to clients facing incorrect takedown notices due to non-existent intellectual property rights? How can clients effectively address concerns with parties in foreign countries, especially if those parties become unresponsive?

Silly me, I didn't realize that being able to see daily and monthly sales at a glance is a distraction! My workflow is so much more streamlined now that I have to go to different pages to get the data that used to be . . . right there.

agree a toggle would be great - i prefer left side only because on my laptop it makes it easier to preview changes as desktop - but theres a case to be made for both
Agree, where can we report this so that they see this? They do a somehow "okish" UI change with the buttons and fonts (texts are smaller, I'm glad I have good eyesight, seriously), but make the UX so much worst by removing the right sidebar...

Every time you make an update you mess up my inventory adding in deleted products that we haven't sold in years.
The new look of everything, having " buttons" makes it hard on the eyes everything blends even worse than before! how about working on useful things like collection pages? is this a forgotten subject? something as simple as having the products listed as per in stock status instead of having to choose to do it manually. every other option a-z. cost, newest, but nothing about the most important factor to which collections should be, showing in stock first.
It's possible with custom dev, but in my experience it can't be combined with pagination, so only for collections with ~

The real problem issue of the logic on how you apply tax at checkout is never addressed.
Shopify’s product team has to be the hardest working team in the world - however, many markets are still missing features that have have been available in other Markets for YEARS. SO many features are linked to Shopify payments/Shop Pay and we’ve been asking directly for YEARS - Bullshit features for startup merchants in the US & Plus customers in markets like Norway who can’t can’t standardized features available to “basic customers” across the pond… it’s giving ✨we hear you, and we don’t care queen ✨
