Please! If this guy was truly guilty why wait twenty goddamn years to report it? I’ll bet they don’t even have any physical evidence to corroborate their accusations, and this is nothing more than a couple of bitches trying to smear the reputation of a famous celebrity. Oh… but why would so many women be coming forward in unison with all these other women? You know, anyone can say anything they want to, but the burden of proof still lies in the hands of the accuser. You’re gonna claim twenty years later about a crime that happened to you, but you don’t have a shred of physical evidence to back up your story? The problem is that these days anyone can pretty much say whatever the hell they want to, get their associates to say whatever they wanna say about you, and I guess in our backwards criminal Justice system nowadays, if a woman accuses you of something then I guess you must be guilty, right? Please! This is slander, libel, and defamation by a group of collaborating accusers!
You are so wrong. In the case of Masterson, he and his victims are/were all members of the cult known as the church of Scientology. The group has the records of the women reporting shortly after it happened. According to the rules of that group, you report crimes to you done by another Scientologist to the church not the police. If they had reported it the police, they would have been committing a very serious crime in that group that I do my best to not call a church, since it is anything but. If they had done that 20 years ago, all three of the women, but not Masterson, would have been declares a suppressive person, or SP. What happens to an SP? They are kicked out of the group, but much worse than that, every single person you know, mother, father, husband, wife, siblings, kids, on and on--are not allowed to ever speak to you again. So, it was report this crime or lose my whole family, and the "church" they believed in with all their hearts. From the time they reported the rapes until today, tomorrow and probably forever, all the women have been harrassed by Scientology. There is a civil case pending about that. When they reported it to their so called church, they were told they "pulled it in", which is that group's policy of telling their members than anything that happens to them, from cancer, a random car wreck, to being raped is their own fault. So now you know why this trial is happening all these years later.
Are you aware of the fact that men and women who have been raped often don't tell anyone, including their own spouses for 20 or 30 years? Are you aware of the fact that way more rapes are not reported than are? Or the fact that a victim knows that the lawyer for the prosecution will try and crucify them on the stand during cross examination. For any rape victim, right after or 50 years later, to report a rape and go through with a trial, it is an act of courage for that person.
So, maybe there are reasons why people do or don't do or don't do things when you think they should them that exist outside your realm of knowledge. Maybe, just maybe, people are doing things when they do them for very valid reasons and not because they are bitches with evil intent.
