- What follows is a comprehensive overview of the 2025 Volkswagen T-Roc's design and handling. Thanks to its nimble design and responsive handling, the Volkswagen T-Roc 2025 has become a popular and stylish compact SUV in Europe and Asia. It is quite probable that Volkswagen's T-Roc, which our vigilant spy cameras captured during winter testing in Europe, is the brand's last ICE vehicle. Though it has a simple cover, we have managed to give you a sneak peek of what's to come. With a more refined and grown-up look inherited from its bigger brother, the Volkswagen Tiguan, the 2025 T-Roc takes design cues from that vehicle. The unique IQ Light LED Matrix headlights are linked by a captivating backlit display on the front. It looks even more menacing with its slanted hood and "pinched" hourglass-shaped grille surrounded by dramatic graphics for the side vents. The T-Roc's signature top chrome side trim line continues, this time sweeping elegantly over the windows and down past the C-pillar. A more polished look is achieved with the help of the scalloped features above the wheel arches and cleaner sheet metal. A more aggressive stance and blocky, geometrically formed taillights characterize the back. Many believe the T-Roc will share engine specs with the Mk8.5 Golf. Two diesel engines are available for long-distance driving, different 1.5-liter mild-hybrid powertrains can provide up to 147 hp (110 kW), and plug-in hybrids can reach 268 hp (200 kW) in the GTE variant and have an electric-only range of up to 62 miles (100 km). To add some excitement to the selection, maybe a high-performance "R" version may make a comeback. While front-wheel drive will be the default on base models, all-wheel drive should be available as an upgrade.
