    This now sets the bar for everyone else. The comfort level, ownership and maintenance are truly remarkable. I wish my Mooney had this detail.

    Like deja vu all over again! I was a flight-line 310 sparky for Cessna in the seventies and spent a lot of time taxying these airplanes and flying in the right seat on test flights. Looks and sounds perfect. I almost cried when you startled up the engines. Just like I remembered from 45 years ago. Needless to say I will be one of your first customers!

    I am impressed at how much detail has been put in this plane. Wear & tear, failures, and state saving? Count me in! It's also a huge bonus that it will come with TDS GTNXi support from day 1. Great job Milviz!

      That's great news about this 310 coming with the TDS GTNXi support! I recently got that and already was going to buy this plane as I've waited a long time for it! With the cool features such as passenger comfort scale to take into account is an awesome piece to add to immersion and give sim pilots something else to consider while flying! I can't wait for this plane!!!

    Little late to the party, I just recently bought this beauty. This is pure immersion! Flight model, sounds, textures (damn, if you don't clean your plane... hehe). And yay for beiing able to see my co-pilot (and passengers) inside the plane! All of this must have been a ton of work, and it is an amazing product. Keep it up milviz!

    The Cessna 310 is my favorite all time machine. It is classically beautiful and Sky King was a big part of my childhood. As of today, I finally “ own” one!! You have done a magnificent job with this plane…even the sweet singing sound of those engines is over the top perfect. Best $40 I ever spent. Thank you. Well done!!

  • @mazeppa47

    Kudos on this aircraft. Steam gauge heaven. I didn't get the opportunity to fly a C310 but IRL I did get several hundred hours flying IO-520 powered aircraft (Barons and Bonanzas). I must say you pretty much nailed the engine sounds. And all the realism features are going make this a real hoot to fly. Anxiously awaiting to add the C310 to my virtual hangar.

    This is my first Milviz purchase and I want my money back! Not from Milviz, but from the producer of that other twin that I purchased several months ago, lol. Wow! ...the 310 is incredible in every aspect, I'm really impressed. Flew her around a bit in VR and then found this video. Thanks for such an excellent tutorial and work of art. Other than a "low oil pressure" indication on the G1000 (false indication), and precautionary landing. I've been fortunate to never have had a real world emergency. So having a random failure system is something I've wanted for a long time (over three decades of flight simming), as a training aid. Looking forward to what you guys come out with next. :-)

    I worked at an FBO for three years in my younger days. It was a Cessna dealer also, and on Monday nights after my shift I often accompanied a pilot who flew bank checks to the Federal Reserve in Louisville. It was always in a 310. Love this plane. When this comes out, I will have all the aircraft in my hangar that I need, thank you .... the Bell 47, Mooney Ovation, the Skymaster and the 310. "Sky King" lives.

    Great plane and tutorial. It’s nice to see a developer participating with the community and sharing the most intimate knowledge of the models. It would have been nice to hear a little about how the algorithms work, etc or at least something to give us an idea about how realistic the simulation is, what is 100% real, what is “synthesized” to behave real but may have some compromises, and why, etc. All in all, thank you.

    Watched the WHOLE thing! This is definitely a work of art and I will surely be purchasing it on day 1 of release. You did a great job with the 310. I sure wish you would also do a Piper Navajo or Chieftan. If Carenado ever gets around to releasing those, they would never be anywhere close to the kind of performance Milviz could render.
    BTW - I kept waiting for the engines to stop on short final due to the mixtures still being lean. Did you forget about "GUMP". 😃

    Excellent tutorial. If I might add..The aux tanks return fuel to the main tank so if you take off with full mains you should wait 90 mins before switching to the aux's or you risk overflowing mains and pissing fuel overboard. In your
    flight you didn't take off with full mains so its not a matter of time but volume. In practice instead of using time don't switch to aux's until mains burn down to 30 gals. Not sure why the dev's used half main and aux's as the default fuel load? Normally mains are always full before filling aux's.

  • @BrianMonette
    @BrianMonette Před 2 lety +1

    It looks great. 11:10 when you push the propeller levers forward it doesn’t unfeather the propellers like that in the real plane. When you shut down you just pull the mixtures. It seems like a fantastic model otherwise.

    • @dutchowen525
      @dutchowen525 Před 2 lety +1

      In the upper left corner we can see that as the props are pushed forward the blades go from feathered to full fine. What else should they do? We'll be glad to add any further realism in area that we need to. As to the mixtures, that was just a quick way for me to shut down, the official procedures in the checklists are more involved.

    • @BigLittlePilot
      @BigLittlePilot Před 2 lety +1

      @@dutchowen525 You are both right. The thing is that the props should not go to full feather when you shut down the engine. The props are locked by pins called 'start locks' when you shut down, locking them at 20° pitch more or less. That's done so they have less air drag when starting. This is why, in the air, you need to pull the props back fairly quickly (fairly, because you don't want to grab the wrong lever!) before the lock pins engage and you are unable to feather the engine. In this case, you need to dive and gain airspeed for the pins to disengage at a certain RPM so the prop can go to it's feathered position. Please correct me if I am wrong anyone. Also, as for the precise thresholds I have no idea. Should be in the prop manual.

    So I flew the 310r yesterday evening since SU10 was released. I had live weather enabled and if you don't know the turblance/gust was modeled in SU10. At 5,000 ft in the Punta Gorda, FL area I was hand flying the aircraft and I couldn't keep the wings level. Prop RPM at 2300, manifold around 20 to 25. It was like rocking in a Jon boat in a hurricane.

      We plan to include the TDS 750 at some point, hopefully on release.

    It appears to be quite twitchy on the pitch axis. I hope it won't be in the release version. Other than that I'm very much looking forward to buying my first MILVIZ addon!
