First I want to say, I’m so sorry that you and your family have been effected by Covid. please take very good care of yourself. secondly, the video was wonderful. The light in the guest cottage was luminous…just beautiful and who doesn’t love pottery. All of the pottery was so beautiful I immediately wanted 10 of every pot. thank you so much for sharing this history lesson , I absolutely loved it and yes, I would love many more videos like this. Take extra special care of yourself. Lots of rest and fluids…I’m in the medical field and can’t help myself…blessings to you 🙏💕🎄
Thank you! We’re recovering really well and taking lots of rest 💜
Just discovered your channel, lucky me! My hubby and I have travelled to France (we are Canadian) twice, and I am obsessed with the wonderful culture, and I love the rustic, natural aesthetic you have shown. I viewed the tiny home/cottage video also, so far, and it is so lovely! Keep up the great work, and I am so heart-broken with all the turmoil in your part of the world right now. Praying for peace in Ukraine!
One vivid memory I have from French Class in high school was my teacher telling us how they would drink their café or chocolat from the hug bowls! I have enjoyed doing this even at my home. I always feel a little frenchy when I do!
bringing France to your home! We tried a simple recipe for French baguettes during our quarantine. I may share that in a next vlog, maybe you already have one. But a French bowl with coffee and a real "bout de pain" of fresh baguette to dip in it is just HEAVEN!
Such a lovely video-when your plans had to change . you've deffinately spread the joy to me today. The information about the stoneware has sparked a curiosity to look at the websites.I love pottery. And then the snow.....how wonderful. I do hope that your family are not too sick and back to full health very soon.
Thank you, lovely to hear this. Going through the pottery websites is pure bliss!! We’re all recovering really well, thank you!
I hope that you all recover from covid and are able to get on with your beautiful lives. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Merci 💜
I'm so sorry to hear you family tested positive. I have to say, this has to be my favorite video ever. Thank you so much!
Happy to hear you loved it!
Oh I’m sorry y’all won’t be able to go to the village party, I was looking forward to that experience with you! Sending thoughts of health and comfort to you and her family. I loved seeing all of your finds - the home is so soothing to see and I’m sure it’s lovely to be there. Take good care and we will go to the Christmas party with you next year
Deal!!!
I really enjoy all of your videos. Now I will bring out my grandmothers bowl. God Bless you and your family.
This was such an adorable video with the pottery and snow and then the slowly dimming candlelight... Beautiful
Beautiful! All the beautiful bowls and the beautiful snow!
Beautiful Kitchenware. This video is so interesting and educational. I do love the organic muted color look. It is so appealing and with out a doubt the kitchenware gives you a vintage but yet ele3gant ambiance to your kitchen. Not to mention how durable it is. When you have a home that is made from the nature around you, (stone, beams forged hinges etc.), you have to compliment its beauty by going the extra mile to find vintage stoneware and worn antiques. Your home is gorgeous.
Oh yes I fully agree on that!! New items just don’t feel like they do the house and all the craftsmanship that was put in building it (also by Olav in recent years) justice!
Of course.... I would really love to watch more sharing on your kitchen collections!🤗
Loved the snow, and sorry you were affected by Covid. This was fun. I am continuing to binge💗
Welcome to the channel!
Love this kind of video. Thank you for showing us your crockery collection.
The bowls are gorgeous don’t you just love snow❄️
Yes, that was a nice surprise!
just found your channel and im truly loving it.I just love the cozy charm of rustic living and enjoying what the earth offers to us. It is just a simple uncomplicated way to live. My thanks to you from New Jersey USA...
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! Welcome!
I just discovered your channel, it is very nice to see all your French living.
I love "Ardennes and Alsace (Betschdorf) grès". They are grey and bleu. You will find them in all regions of France. Beautiful.
Love those kitchen utensils!
Enjoyed seeing all the dishes you have. They are all beautiful
So sorry that your family had to be quarantined and miss the village celebration. By now you are all better. It did, however, give you the unique opportunity to showcase some of your favourite pottery pieces and dishes. I love this video! The large French pottery bowls with the colorful 'rims' and spouts are very lovely! I also love the tiny pottery with the lid and tiny 'spoon'. I think that I would be constantly collecting these beauties if I lived in France and owned a Chateau. I know that I can order them online regardless of this.
It seems so comforting to look out at the snow whilst being in a warm home. Great video! Please do more like this!
Bonjour! What a wonderful video!! I would absolutely love to see more kitchen items, please! Merci!!
Sorry to hear about your family being ill with this terrible pandemic, truly hope everyone gets through with minimum issues. Here in Toronto we are 19c so nice to see someone is getting snow.
Thank you!
Loved the video! The snow is dreamy!
I love your channel, which I just discovered, and all you bring in your presentations! Sincerely hope you and your family are recovered and very well. Thank you very much!
Welcome! We are all doing well, thank you!
I’m sorry you missed the village party… but at least you were blessed with a surprise snowfall! I think the word you were looking for is “spout”. The large mixing bowl with a spout on the side. I love this video and will check out the online shops you mentioned! Merci!
thank you!
Beautiful and SO calming. loved this video. and so hoping your family has a mild case and is well soon. Funny as I too collect the colored Dijon pots and love when I find the spoon. Don't like the tops as much as they somehow are plastic which is so odd for such a gorgeous pot. But they are what I hunt for in and around Beaune/Dijon when I'm there
Hello. Nice to meet you. I discovered your channel very recently and enjoy it dearly. I live in the Midwest USA in a valley area, in an 1863 stone house and love the simple rustic look as well. I too love French vintage pottery, however with my work schedule, I don't really get a chance any more to get out and look in person for this pottery. There's quite a bit of it for sale on Etsy, yet I've found that most of it ships from France. And I'd rather not pay the high cost of shipping it here. So I'll have to keep searching for a source from the US. Thank you for opening up your life so viewers can see what a sweet atmosphere you've created there. Best wishes to you and feel better soon!
Welcome! Yes shipping is costly and unfortunately there is nothing we can change about that.
I do see that many French sellers have better prices than US based ones. The costs of getting the items to the US has got to be made somewhere I guess.
Try Elsie Green (based on the west coast / California). They have beautiful items (but as I said: pricey because in the end they too have to pay for shipping) and I am sure you’ll love their style. Just keep looking online, there are plenty!
Hello from Ontario Canada. I really enjoyed seeing all the pottery, fabulous video!
Merci!
Oh, I love this! Your snow is beautiful, but even more so is your spirit, Marloes! I can't express how your videos have inspired and soothed me. Bless you & yours.
Thank you so much for sharing this!! So glad to hear the videos inspire you 💜💜

Merci!
I absolutely LOVE this, video!’ I like to learn about the French items that make,up your simplistic style. Thank you for sharing! I also love how the snow made an appearance ☃️❄️🌨
Thanks! Me too! I was so suprised by the snow and it made me feel like a happy kid!
I just found your channel recently and I am enjoying it very much! I recently returned from a trip to Tuscany in Italy and there are so many similarities in the country lifestyle there and in France. How lovely for you and your family to live that life permanently. I have to comment on your language skills - amazing! To speak three languages fluently is really impressive! That "little thing" on the large bowls is called a "spout" in English. :) I look forward to following more of your beautiful life in France.
Welcome to my channel!
Hi everyone. I love your videos, congratulations !!!⚘
Thank you for being here!
Love all your videos!
thank you!
I absolutely love the stoneware! Exactly what I would buy if given the chance.
What a beautiful and interesting video Marloes! Well done. Can't wait to see the next one.
merci!!
You are so charming and I greatly enjoy seeing and hearing about your life in the French countryside. Wishing your family a quick recovery from Covid and your continued good health. Have a happy holiday and new year!
Thank you very much! We have all recovered well, just taking our time to get our energy back to resume our renovations. Slowly… but surely!
Love this vid. And I also enjoy the thought of drinking from the little bowls. Thank you for sharing.
Happy you liked it!
Merci! A bientôt!
I was feeling a bit down today until I found your vlog. You have such a beauty that radiates from within and everything is portrayed in such a soothing and calming manner. I loved the French history pottery lesson, what beautiful items. Praying that you and your family make a healthy and speedy recovery. xxx
Happy to hear the vlog helped you feel better! 💜 sending love!
Thanks for sharing the pottery/kitchenware. Similar crockery bowls originating here in the US can be found at flea markets but can be expensive! The colors in the current catalog are gorgeous. Loving the scenery - the snow falling outside the window - wood burning fire - while I enjoy the cozy warmth from our own wood stove. So enjoy your channel.
Thank you for your lovely comment! Yes I see similar gorgeous crocks in some US CZcamsr’s kitchens! 😍
This was so nice to watch! Thank you for showing us all these beautiful items😍
Hope you all get well very soon🙏
Thank you! Glad you liked the video!
Another beautiful video! I love the big bowls with the spouts too! Hope everyone is better soon!
Thank you!
I hope you and your family recover completely from the virus.
I enjoyed your lessons about the history and usage of the pottery. In the U.S.A., the little lip on the big bowls is called a spout, or a pour spout. It is the same word as the spout on a pitcher. It is very handy to have on large heavy bowls.
Thank you for a lovely video.
Thank you for sharing the English word! I would not have known! We’re all recovering well, thank you!
All the best for a swift quarantine for you & your family. Also, I loved the explanations of the kitchen pieces ... fascinating! Thank you for sharing. Love from Australia. 💞
Thank you!
Very nice Marloes, really enjoyed the information about the dishes.
Glad to hear you liked it!
That was a really great video and I just google the manufacturers. Thank you. Take care and hope you are all recovering.
Thank you! We're all recovering really well.
Get well soon to you and your family.
Your energy is so peaceful for me. I really enjoyed this video. Will be definitely checking out the websites.
💖🇨🇦
Merci!!!
Get lots of rest, and sending my love for a speedy recovery. While you’re shut in, will you consider putting together a playlist of old French & Danish Christmas music?
Thank you! I honestly wouldn’t know any old French Christmas songs and certainly no Danish ones… I’m Dutch 🤣
Lovely vlog! I too collect vintage french pottery That i find a the vide greniers down here in provence! I especially love the big 'pot en grés' with handles on each side! Yes I have many of those too!!
Lovely video. I always find your content interesting and uplifting! Wishing you and your family the best for health and hope all goes well.

You guys have covid oh no:(. I’m thankful your not very sick. Get well soon.
Thank you! We’re okay. 💜
Sorry, for the type errors, stupid tablet..
no worries!
And I am not a 100 % sure the automatic captions will be correct. It's like google translate: never trust it :)
falta el icono para traduccion ,gracias
I am sorry, CZcams normally takes care of that automatically...
What is your mother tongue?
Dutch 😊 🇳🇱
I’m sorry you missed the village party… but at least you were blessed with a surprise snowfall! I think the word you were looking for is “spout”. The large mixing bowl with a spout on the side. I love this video and will check out the online shops you mentioned! Merci!
