I was scared of strings. Walking round my house naked with those strings on loop.... like I was tripping....
"Derek went mad!" Shut up n dance

he's not that bad in this interview - but trust me i have seen a lot - and his arrogance becomes very tiring - i tried to sit through the hi tech soul doc(i think it was that) and most of the documentary is derrick may going on and on about how he changed the world - and it was all his idea and how smart he is - at first i was like everyone else on this page - yeah good for you derrick - and then he went on some more and more and more- until he sucked the good will right out of me

Hmm, I dunno I've met him a couple of times, he never came off as arrogant in person. We spoke for some time and he was quite reserved, and very humble.

So much hate smh. I don't see nothing wrong in him explaining one of the most important dance songs. If I was him I'd be extremely proud too, plenty of artist are up their own ass and why not as you have to be if you wanna be the best.

aaah ha ha, i think Deririck May is incredibly talented, and strings of life is one of my favourite tracks of all time! but i have seen many many interviews and heard many stories about Derrick May and while in this clip he's not that bad, i've grown incredibly tired of his churlish arrogant attitude, the measure of respect someone deserves should come from others, when all you do is spout how great you are it takes away from whateever acheivments you may have made- ie being humble ; )

whats your point? yeah i get it i'm not a respected techno pioneer from detroit, but i'm also not a bell end! Personally I would much rather be me than Derrick May, I Would Respect the man 100times more if he Humbled up a bit and i dont think (scratch that) i know i'm not on my own in thinking that!
