Nas took the modern rap style polished it up and spit it better than the rest of them.
I keep seeing this narrative and nothing could be further from the truth. Sun was giving us a form of the triplet flow as far back as the 90s with Big Things, Big Girl Now, then he gave us Heaven off the God’s Son album in 02, but he gave us this particular flow way back in 04 with Message To The Feds( We The People) go do the knowledge, “there’s nothing new under the sun/ ain’t what you do but how it’s done”.
