No LEGO set can last forever, so make sure you don’t miss out on those must-have models by keeping track of every retiring LEGO set in 2024 and beyond with our regularly updated tables, all sorted by theme and by retirement date. Note that many sets sell out long before their scheduled retirement date, and remember that these dates are subject to change.
One of the most iconic LEGO themes isn’t immune to the passage of time, unfortunately. At the end of 2024, the sets currently scheduled to retire include the massive 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina and its many exclusive minifigures.
The fan-inspired Ideas theme has a smaller section than most other LEGO ranges, but each of its models is unique in some way.
As for what’s retiring first from the theme, 2024 will see us waving goodbye to 21339 BTS Dynamite, 21318 Tree House and more, but this is subject to change at any time.
With builds based on a wide array of Marvel media, LEGO Marvel’s retiring sets selection for 2024 is as extensive as it was for 2023. We’d advise prioritising 76266 Endgame Final Battle as well as the brand new 76275 Motorcycle Chase: Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock. - Zábava
I'm so glad I got the ecto-1 for Christmas this year. Its so beautiful in all its nostalgic glory.
Family reunion looks great but definitely had more fun building previous ones such as the ice festival and last year's parade.
It’s a pity that the Mighty Bowser is retiring. It’s one of the best designed large Lego figure and it has a lot of cool play features.
It’s not. Not till 2025. That was a mistake. If you noticed, they changed the tumbnail.
@@metroid767 👍 good to know
I started buying the Winter Village sets last year, and I want to give a shout out to Holiday Main Street. It's a great build for friends and family to do together since there's 4 individual instruction books. By that same logic, it's easy to break down and rebuild with the rest of your holiday decorations. Just get a gallon ziplock bag for each build, and toss them back in the box.
Santa's Visit is also an iconic Christmas house. If you can still find it in the wild, I'd suggest picking it up. At the very least, it'll probably hold it's value at resale.
Second this, holiday main street was amazing, being able to have the whole family building the same lego set independently at the same time. Got Santa's visit for xmas 2023 before it retired and it was good but the "multiplayer" factor wasn't as good as when we did holiday main street at xmas 2022. We will be continuing this christmas tradition. Like you we've got them stored in ziploc bags, and will build up the old kits in the run up to christmas before doing the new set we get on christmas day.
@@Veles343 For multiplayer, I'd recommend Jazz Quartet and Succulents. Tiny Plants would also be a good build.
For Christmas sets, there are plenty of various small sets and polybags that can be broken down and rebuilt, such as Brockheadz, ornaments, and the holiday themed GWPs that usually release around November.
Definitely getting a second mos eisley cantina. I do like City of Lanterns as well.
Such a great set 🔥 I’m waiting to pull the trigger on this one for the (hopefully) inevitable sale
LOVE the seasonals indeed
Next month the new Ghostbusters Frozen Empire film is coming out, now as well as the gunners seat from Afterlife, there is a Drone ghost trap that launched from the roof, so maybe it the film does well, we'll get a new Ecto-1, the original surviving Ghostbusters are all back, so some new mini figures wouldn't go amiss!
It’s weird that they’d retire a Ghostbusters Afterlife set when Ghostbusters Frozen Empire comes out this year, but not have new Ghostbusters sets due for release with the new movie.
Maybe we’ll actually get a new Firehouse soon. Doubt it but who knows.
@@dkres82 that would be so exciting because the original Firehouse is like $700-800 on the aftermarket.
@@Gzilla313 yeah I want one so bad but refuse to pay that.
That movie will suck. Just guessing
Avatar sets already on clearance at Targets by me.
I wish they could have done Chewbacca's eyes better. That set is literally 2 pieces away from being a banger
Same with Lego Yoda
@@joevictor53 Agreed
Except the sets: sonic, fast f., some lego city vehicles ... Rest of them retiring sets... Won't be missed😅
So is Mighty Bowser retiring? It’s in the thumbnail, but you did not mention it in the video, nor did it scroll at the bottom of the screen.
That's an error, it's not retiring until 2025, sorry for the confusion
Is there any modular buildings besides ninjago retiring ?
I’m not sure there will be. We have just had 3 Modular’s retire last year so chances are none of the current ones will go this year.
Ninjago 2023 sets not retiring yes yes!!
Mabye i missed it but is optimus retireing?
Is the mighty bowser also retiring in 2024 ?
Nope 2025. It was an error in the thumbnail
Every toy line forever retires production of toys. I don’t get why Lego people make a big deal about it.
15:14 they’re called “evergreen” themes ;)
Also, RIP to my wallet 🤑🫠🥲🥲
Also, important to note that you say “on sale” a lot in the video. I get that for that means “regularly available”, but in American English, that means they’re “available for a discount”.
We would sale “for sale” vs “on sale”, meaning “regularly available” vs “available for a discount” respectively. 😊
lion knights castle will retire this year i think i heard it will
Big news if true
2025
Absolutely not. It just came out. The bigger the set, the longer they keep it
I'd hope with the new Ghostbusters movie, that they'd at least make one for Frozen Empire.
21:26 Trans rights!
right?!?!
Disney WIsh is the worst Disney animation of all time. I suppose that's not saying much as Disney animation is usually top tier, you'd think that the "worst of the best" is still pretty good. Not the case here. Wish is a complete dumpster fire and would have been better off never being released. The story of how the project got completely reworked from its original idea is tragic.
Lego releases an annual retirement schedule is disgraceful. Firstly, they’re taking advantage of customer’s loyalty to artificially manipulate availability and boosting sales by telling you “hey we decided to end these so you better go get them now or your world is ending” publicly. Secondly, the reaction to this artificially planned scarcity on their products shows how much of a failure people and our society is by being willingly manipulated by these powerful corporate entities, eating up all their jack shit Bs like there’s no tomorrow. Do I need to provide more proof? Ghost ship retiring after only a year despite being in demand for nearly a decade? Obviously the sales were unexpectedly low last year due to the price so they’re pulling out the scarcity card. For my second point, we can simply see Lego breaking sales records each year despite the downward global economy even for the foreseeable future. If people aren’t buying Lego sets by skipping meals altogether I don’t see how they could’ve achieved that. We MUST evolve to eat plastics since people value that more than other essential items.
what so theyre supposed to make a very few sets for the next 100 years? give me a break. If you can't buy it in the 2 years its for sale get bent. Yeah i had a LEGO dark age and missed some sets i wish i bought, but you move on.
"... and trans love is important !"
(That's a good one ! I genuinely laughed :-D )
Trans statement was weak
"trans love is important" how is that weak?
“trans love is important” 🥰🥰🥰
