The most daunting fact remains. Maurice White had a voice of pure gold. Brings me to tears when I hear the soulfulness with just plain purity. I miss this man and his musicianship!!!

I was in the Army when this came out, it has stood the test of time, this is a Charles Stepney Special, Charles Stepney taught the Phenix Horns how to screech, he was EarthWind & Fire's task master, also I remember Quincy Jones questioning Verdine White how he played the chords on this session, they were & still are the baddest band in the land, I saw them in 75,79,80, 88, 94, 03, their musicianship is excellent, simply marvelous. 👑
But they never got paid like Rollin stones Elton John Madonna Taylor swift etc millions/ billions

This band was symbiotic in its vocals and instruments. They were harmonic on multiple levels. True music at its best. No one comes close to that today. Magical musicianship.

Davison 1943 Dearing just reminiscencing how beautiful of community it was linking to Hamtramck wanting to attend Davison school, Cleveland junior high from there to Pershing high as a child learning sports Lasky recreation, playing basketball at Washington trade outside court seeing true playground legends pat the pill, remembering the Floaters and Enchantment when they were getting they're careers started the older cats throughout the neighborhood riding they're electric 225, Delta 88 and Cadillac's also Lincoln bumping this cut Wiggins store on the corner of Burnside the Basement store on Lawley different varieties of candy and the 1st time me seeing superman ice cream a time that doesn't exist anymore these kids today don't know nothing about peace E.Davison of the 1970's LK Sconi Davison player for life👊🏾🙏🏾💪🏾peace

I Like it....a lot! In the late '60's when Maurice White told Ramsey Lewis that he was leaving the group to form his own group Ramsey told him he was crazy. For the first few years they struggled to produce music to which the public would listen. Even their last album on Warner Bros Records before signing with Columbia Records was not considered that good; except for One Song "I Think About Loving You". That One song put Earth, Wind & Fire on the R&B Charts and in the music collections of many folks who love R&B.
Their first album on Columbia was much different, and the group immediately soared to the top of the charts. I was blessed to see them live right after that album "Last Days In Time" was released and man, WHAT A SHOW!
