Thank you for sharing some helpful information! Had a hard time trying to make the DET app to use my external webcam instead of the bad quality built-in one. Finally got it to work, it was confusing because the app automatically used my external microphone but with a little adjustment of my laptop's settings, I can finally get to take a clear image of my ID. Also, I want a plushie! 😂💛
Hello, right now I am in your same situation. I'm trying to set an external webcam that also includes the microphone that I want to use. Tomorrow I want to take the exam, but I want to do all the setting today. However, I can't find a way to configure the Duolingo software to make sure it uses the external devices. Could you help me?

Hi, great tips and explanation. One thing regarding the microphone, is there a sound test before the test begins? I have noticed in the practice test that during oral production my bar does not move, so I presume the mic is not connected to the test. Please advice on this. Thanks
A question for the DET team: I'm using a pretty wide monitor (55" diagonally) for my desktop PC. This means my eyes can't stay "centered" if I have to take the test in fullscreen mode. Is it allowed to do the test in a smaller window that only covers the center of the screen as long as I make sure that the mouse pointer never leaves this window?
Can I use a USB hub to connect my mouse with my laptop? Mentionable that my laptops' connection port does not match with mouse's port or a pendrive , so I have to use a hub.

But I got remember after submission then I realised that I actually forget to remove the smart watch. What to do now? What way I can adopt to avoid ban from DET. Why every time my exam wasn't certified , i gave my best but also every time invalid my exam. I was really frustrated because i gave my best but always they uncertified my test. So how to improve it i know my grammar is not so good but, at least they have to give marks on it .
