Hi Dr I live in England UK, I was diagnosed with metastatic cancer to the lymph notes and bones, with a PSA 4080 back in October 2022 .
Since I found you I have followed all your advice with diet and exercise My PSA now stands at 1.1 ,
My cancer specialist nurse can’t believe my quick turnaround.
They put me on firmagon injections and apalutamide tablets and now they say I’m in remission ,if it wasn’t for following you Dr I wouldn’t be here. I recommend your channel to everyone in England. You have better information than the NHS.
    Cheers from the Uk

You guys have been a blessing ever since my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in July 2023. I have always come here for resources and also had a chance to speak with an advocate on the phone from your organization. Since his diagnosis his PSA levels has gone from 2400 to 0.8 with the recent test. While I am still understanding the disease I believe advocating for him has played a huge role in us getting the interventions that he need. Thank you Alex and the team.

Thank you once again for an extremely important and relevant discussion. My husband was diagnosed stage 4 de novo in April. We have a follow up appointment early next week with Dr. Kwon and will ask him about this topic as it may pertain to my husband's care.

I think in the situation you describe triplet therapy followed by local control by radiation of the gland and pelvis should be what all patients should be offered. Local disease at the prostate can result in urinary obstruction at the urethra, bladder neck or level of the ureter. Every effort should be made to address this risk. The question in my mind particularly with lymph node metastasis is should mop up radioligand therapy be employed as is being done in some countries out side of the United States of America.

How often should you have various scans to determine the condition of the metastases if the patient is still hormone sensitive?

  • @jstanbury61
    @jstanbury61 Před 10 měsíci +2

I am 62 otherwise healthy from the uk 🇬🇧 on Adt and Nubequa.I was unable to have Docetaxel as I am allergic to the carrier.I am still castrate sensitive but I have multiple lesions in the spine pelvis ribs and neck.I have not had a psma pet scan only a bone ct scan.My PSA at diagnosis 6 months ago was 658 now it is down to 4 two months ago hopefully dropping further.I have requested genetic testing of my biolopsy tissue and will request a circulating tumour dna blood test to see if I am suitable for Parp inhibitors.I will ask about debulking at my next visit to my oncologist next visit.
Obviously I am thinking of getting pluvicto at some stage. Also is there much interest in Copper 64 in the US.?
    Thankyou for these informative videos

Many thanks for your channel which i learn a lot on metastatic prostate cancer treatment.
    May i know :
1 . Any possibility of stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer spread to bone but now PSA undetectable after combined hormone ( 8 months ) and chemo ( 6 times ) therapy treatment and now continue taking Abiraterone and prednisolone daily and Lucrine jab every 6 months live longer than 6 years.
During initial treament , PSA drops very quickly to undectable by 6 months .
Dr commented " fantastic " and no fatigue side effects at all.
    2. Can stage 4 prostate cancer take Omega 3.
    Thank you.

It seems like debulking is for non-treated patients who manifest metastatic lesions. What about patients who have already had treatments radiation etc.?
