    I had one of these back in the 90's and it felt revolutionary to me. Went from finger tabs to one of those on an old Golden Eagle and it was awesome. Super hard on the string though!

      Happened to me. Shooting at 70M, got home, immediately shot at 12M. Forgot to adjust the sight. Was using a fall away. The arrow shot through the scope and blew the lens out. I noticed ONLY after 2 more ends that the scope was soo clear. I wiped it again to admire the swarovski ... and my finger passed /inserted right thru the scope body. Found the ring frame still with attached lens 20m away with just a slight shatter approx 1.5mm dia. I still use the scope to this day.

    I bought a cheap bow on a whim on clearance ($150 bow for $64) to try with my kids. It already had a D-loop so I bought this release on the cheap - we're not hunters or archers, and doing this on the CHEAP for backyard non-screen-time fun. It hasn't failed us yet. It's very tough to put on the d-loop though. If we get more serious I'm sure I'll buy a better release.... and maybe a 2nd bow just for me. :-)

  • @olddragguy
    @olddragguy Před 5 lety +1

    I bought one of these arrow release triggers that you are testing. I dissembled the unit and shortened the end the lever shaft by .300 of a inch this shortened the distance of thumb movement as well as improved the comfort of thumb position. For the money it works. I don't shoot at tournaments so its fine for me.

  • @choppedandbobbed9729

    Hell yes it's worth $5. I shot that exact release for years. The travel you talk about isnt as bad once some tension is put on the string. The release was never meant for a D loop. It was meant to be attached to the bow string back before loops were used. It's actually a good buy for someone who wants to shoot without spending alot of money. Not everyone has loads of loot. Videos like these makes me sick.
