- In the presence of HM the Queen and members of the royal family, Huw Edwards presents the Royal British Legion's annual Festival of Remembrance, which pays tribute to all victims of war and conflict.
Andrea Bocelli, Rod Stewart, Gregory Porter and Pixie Lott perform alongside the Central Band of the Royal Air Force, the Queen's Colour Squadron, the Band of HM Royal Marines, and the Band and Pipes of the Brigade of Gurkhas. From World War One to the present day, as the poppy petals fall from the roof of the Royal Albert Hall, the Festival will remember the many who make the ultimate sacrifice.
This is the cut short version video of Gurkha Band and Pipes and Drums of The Brigade of Gurkhas, where I was also one the participated musician and performer on this show. The show was specially for our fallen heroes who gave and sacrificed their lives for their nation. We will remember them.
🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧May this friendship live for centuries to come......
Proud to be a nepali🇳🇵🇳🇵
And we are Lucky to have such a stong frinendship with Nepal
One Love
I love gorkhar I am also gurkha from in Myanmar
Bro, thank you. I had a friends from Myanmar, their name are Purnimar and Kalpanar i told them the names should be Purnima and Kalpana. Here, it is not Gorkhar, it is GURKHA. I am sorry if i said anything wrong about your typo, i do understand it was occured due to your slang. Thank you so much for preserving Nepali language, tradition and culture in Myanmar.🙏
I'm an American veteran and I can deeply appreciate the reverence and respect shown in this video.
The US doesn't have 'foreign' brigades. We assimilate any foreigner into our military directly. My Basic Training platoon, for example, had two Black Africans [one from Nigeria and one from Somalia], two Latinos from LA who were 'getting their paperwork' [a euphemism for illegal aliens who were earning their citizenship], and one man from Minsk whose family had fled the Soviet Union. Now, that was a lot of foreigners in a platoon of 40 men, and I'm sure that it must have given our drill sergeants headaches, but it was a huge eye-opener for a kid from the backwoods of the Pacific Northwest.
I've read that Gurkha Brigade's long history of loyalty, valor and sacrifice has been rewarded with full British citizenship after a high profile campaign. I'm very glad to hear that.
AYO GUKHALI!
Give these people full British citizenship for them and their families.
They deserve nothing less for their service. Long Live Nepal!
They do get it after 4 years of service.
Thank you for this wonderful video. The first time that I saw any Gurkha was in early 1972, after passing out in Woolwich I was staying the night over in London with my parents before we went home the next day. We went for a stroll around the City and as we went past Buckingham Palace the Gurkhas were on Royal Guard. I was dresses in SD (#2 dress) with a twat hat, the guard mistook me for an officer and saluted me. Of course I returned the salute and my parents were curious as to why they saluted a lowly non-ranker. I explained that he had mistaken the uniform for an officer. Later in my service I came across Gurkhas in a camp in Beaconsfield where they came to learn English. They are always polite and respectful. A true asset to the British Army.
gave me goosebumps !! so proud of them
proud to be gorkhali and nepali
♥️🇳🇵🇬🇧♥️
Feeling proud but the fact is my dad never wanted me to join in gurkhas, you know what i mean, my families have long served in gurkhas, my grandfather is leg less due to burma war. And he never got right to live in Uk and passed away on 2008. Our's grandmothers as well as our mothers had to wait 2 to 3 years to see their husband in army leave usually last up to 2 weeks to 1 month and back again with no family in different country. when i was kid my dad was never around,he was usually working hard for his family which he hardly see. Gurkhas isn't in NAVY or RAF , all unit is in front line first to die... picture is getting clearer i hope, so on and so on.... thank god lot has changed now. ☺ HAVE A GOODDAY LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.

जय नेपाल जय गोर्खाली ,,,,,,,,,
All my gurkhali brothers and sister we are very proud of you...thats the teaching of our mother nepal....but we must now focus on our own country nepal otherwise it will get backward and in wrong hands...lets develop nepal economically and militarily in coming days
These are the people who should have a right to com to U.K. not those on backs of lorries. These men are the bravest soldiers in the world, someone said that a soldier who is not afraid to die is either a liar or a Gurka.
Major Man Prasad gurung ❤❤
Really I'm proud to be Nepali ✊✊✊✊✊
Very good
Amazing ... Gurkha ... [ Our ancestors had fought with Gurkha ( World War II ) in Java, Indonesia . Feeling at war with yourself ] . Motto Gurkha : ' Kaphar hunnu bhanda marnu ramro / Better to die than be a coward ' ~ Our Nation ( Indonesia ) Motto : ' Freedom or death ' . :-)

I remember one of my Gurkha friend told me that he is a bull, but I guess he was modest as all Gurkhas are as I understood. He is brave and sometimes as stubborn as a bull, that's what he meant I guess. :D My respect to Gurkhas wherever they are.

Bravest of the Brave.... Jay gorkha
Over 2 centuries in past a unique bond had established between a gorkhali and British after a painful war, the very same bond still exists and seems unbreakable in centuries to come, st the beginning their such sacrifice and loyalty was not rewarded in a manner which had to be, nevertheless now uk goverment are acknowledgeding the sacrificed these gorkhali have had done for the cause of British empire.....
now i get proud yo be a gorkhali
Being a family member of Gurkha makes me feel proud but ..........
