Merci beaucoup Corey French Frye. In 1962, I was a student living at the corner of rue Toullier and rue Soufflot. Your video brings back many fond memories.

Rewatching your tours from the very beginning.... The thing I loved most about this one is your enthusiasm & love of Paris came beaming through!! I was so excited to stumble upon your live tour. I hadn’t been to Paris yet when I began to watch your tours but I was already in love with Paris. You brought Paris to me & I’m so grateful!! 🙏🏼

Glad to see these on CZcams. My Saturday mornings are kind of jammed, so it's nice to be able to join your tours at my leisure.
The Panthéon, for my money, is the most unattractive large building in Paris. Too sterile & antiseptic, with its monolithic, bare stone walls (both inside & out).
St. Etienne du Mont, on the other hand, is a joy. The exterior is spectacular, and the inside, with its inverted arches in the nave, is an architectural marvel. It also holds a special attraction for pipe organ junkies like me. For 57 years, until his death in 1986, Maurice Duruflé, one of the great organ & choral composers of the 20th century, was (along with his wife) organist there.
Paris, in the late-19th/early-to-mid 20th century, was Mecca for organists, both as composers and performers. César Franck at Ste. Clotilde in the 7th. Louis Vierne at Notre Dame. Charles-Marie Widor & Marcel Dupré at St. Sulpice. Saint-Saens at La Madeleine. They were aided in their efforts by an innovative pipe organ builder from Toulouse, Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, who made the organ a much more versatile and playable instrument. (There's actually a Parisian square named after him, in front of the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, near the Gare du Nord.)

a55b47 Hi there! Thanks for watching and thanks for this lovely comment. I’m not well-versed in the history of organists in Paris, but I do sense that it’s a rich one - as is evident in what you just explained! Thanks for that information and I’m glad you’re able to enjoy these replays.

Here's an excerpt from Duruflé's exquisite Requiem, recorded at St. Etienne du Mont about 10 years ago. (BTW, you can't tell from my nom-de-CZcams, but I'm the guy who sent you the picture of me sitting in your seat in the Place des Vosges)

Would love to connect with you further about the work you do & using your services. I'm probably in a minority of one here, but I quite like the Montparnasse Tower. I feel much the same way about it as I do about the Pompidou Centre: as a one off it's great, but if every other building in Paris looked like it I'd be severely cheesed off.

Definitely go underground. You might lose the Facebook signal, but the recording is still there. Also, why when the camera is on you, the writing on the restaurants behind you is backwards?

It has to be said... Your image quality is all vintage CZcams fuzzy. Is it your camera that's not up to HD 4k quality, or the lousy Wi-Fi connection... I love your voice and your tours. But you really need to sort out your image quality issues.
