Catherine's worst look is better than Meg's best look by a mile.
I think one thing that makes Catherine look so beautiful in everything she wears is her smile. She's always smiling. And it's never for the camera, she genuinely looks like she enjoys her surroundings and the people she's with so even if she wore a garbage bag with funky socks and mismatched shoes she'd knock it out of the park as long as she has confidence and a good attitude.
Yes, absolutely. She radiates joy and you just feel good when you see it.

It's her "genuine" smile 😃 👍👍 not the fake ricktus grin that the other one does....but its also the unique and genuine glow from her heart that also makes all the difference ❤
Catherine is the kind of perfection you don't feel envious instead admire about. Her genuine warmth and goodness always shines through which is why she looks spectacular. Inner beauty at its best. Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh has that as well.
Both the burgundy coat with the leather belting, trim at the cuffs and waist, as well as the green coat she wore to Windsor after their train tour were coats. She has worn before, but she simply added a fur piece in both of those situations. You do have to admire her willingness to find a variety of ways to make it look new and fresh without buying literally a whole new coat.
You could always tell when Catherine was pregnant. Her face was more rounded and her checks got chubby. It was a beautiful transformation

Me, too, I adore really great long winter coats. I’m always looking for high-quality, all-wool or wool/cashmere ones, with breathable (not polyester) linings. I’m wearing my prize Dior burgundy one today to Christmas dinner, I’ve worn it for 40 years and still love it!🙂
I’m with you on the 2022 look - I thought that feathered hat was gloriously dramatic in the best way, and I loved the details on the coat. When Catherine steps outside the box and gets it right, it’s fun for us all.

I like it when she wears boots - and getting away from the dated 1940s looks, including weird velvet headbands - makes her seem much more contemporary and chic.
We can tell what year Catherine is celebrating Christmas by the amount of hair on Williams head. I’m sorry William, but it’s true.
I love Catherine’s big hat matching her winter green/brown coat. I’m not a fan of hats, but this one knocks it out of the park.
The plaid from 2017 is everything….the plaid, the hat, the hair, the flush of her cheeks. Everything is perfect…definitely my favorite

The Black Watch tartan coat isn’t my favourite look, but i have to admire how well the guy who cut the pattern pieces out of the fabric matched the tartan so perfectly across the bodice to the sleeve! Personally, I like the photo before that with the red coat and the long red tartan scarf better.
The various shades of red always look delightful on her.

I enjoy your commentary so much. It's polite, eloquent and informed and researched. I look back on some of the things I've worn and think "why did I wear that!" I guess sometimes mood, weather etc. I know we'll all give Princess Catherine a pass. She has impeccable taste and style unlike you-know-who.

I agree with your top two, but my absolute favorite is the bright red dress from 2021. Catherine is absolutely stunning in everything, but that was perfection.
On the whole I like all her looks but in particular I love the tartan/plaid looks. They are divine.

My grandmother was a great dresser. Catherine reminds me of her in terms of style and looks. Smiling, elegant ladies.

I was a teenager in the late 80’s and I look back on some of my outfits/hair styles and totally cringe but at the time I loved them , we all live and learn 😘
I like everything she wears. Her hat collection is amazing. I’m a hat girl, so I drool every time I see her with a new hat .I want that green one so bad. I think I tried to look up that hat and it’s made in the UK, she has fabulous everything boots ,purses. it’s great to put a lot of effort in when you’re young because you are only young once. I put a lot of effort in on how I look. I think I always have because I was a hairstylist. I love the Internet because it really helps me know what to wear for my body type people like you really help me to wear the right thing I’m 68.😊
Re the grey coat @9:57 both Princess Anne and Camilla are wearing the most wonderful purple outfits. Almost the exact same colour too. They look fabulous!

I have the fur hat, in grey [black was sold out]. Infact, I wore the fur hat today with a blue coat, blue suede boots, and my perennial red pashmina. The fur hat was very affordable.
I think my favorite was when she was sitting down with the red coat and the red plaid scarf. Couldn't tell if she had a matching red plaid dress or if the scarf was just so large but i love her in red for the season. She just seems like such a wonderful human being.
You are right that both plaid tartan coats were very cute and festive and fun. I like the woolen short plaid with the big furry black hat. Very cute.
The 2019 grey wool looking coat is my favorite.
It's the design. I give the designers credit for making such a great coat.

I couldn't possibly do the black watch tartan because it was at one time my school uniform! And I taught at a girls' school where that was the uniform, so I was surrounded by it. But, boy, doesn't Catherine always make a great effort? Not just with the clothes. She just seems like someone you would want to meet, so friendly and kind, always interested in others, rather than herself. That is what makes her fabulous in my book. She brings kindness and happiness to everything she attends.
Love these looks. I think my fave is the khaki green outfit from last year with that gorgeous hat. She was criticised for this look- why? I absolutely loved the shade of green, the earrings- it was really quite different from anything else and it rocked. Totally. She's also awesome in red of course. That was one of my favourite looks too! I love her dramatic looks, it’s a glimpse into her personality & shows that she has a good imagination.
I wore my red cashmere turtleneck dress for Christmas Eve service last night, for today’s dinner, I think I’ll wear my similar, but maxi-length one in burgundy. Many people, including the men, wore red to last night’s service, and some older gentlemen wore festive tartan blazers. It was a packed service and was beautiful, the church was decorated with fresh greenery and they dimmed all but the chancel lights during the carols. I’m so glad I made the effort to go.
hope 2024 is a carparkles free zone year!

They all are so good, I really don’t know how you rated them. I mostly agree though, except for the favorite, which is odd, because I LOVE Black Watch Plaid!!!! However, the green look with the cool pheasant feathered hat & those earrings & that green coat!!! It’s so very outdoorsy (I’m American & I see what you mean about a Western vibe, but I get Australian Outback vibes) & that’s how I think of Catherine, Princess of Wales! Future Queen Catherine knows how to match items perfectly, no matter what ! Unlike Americans European women do not need to wear garments as a uniform, we like to break the code and be creative. The rule in fashion is NOT to follow rules regarding lines and patterns. The thing is to repect morphology and style, which is not trends or conventions.
My favourite look is the one with the fur hat. She looks incredibly cute ❤

I love love her long coats. It is a winter look that i believe is timeless. But for the holidays, in Scotland, a tartan coat, skirt, or scarf is a must, IMO. I loved the black watch coat! I have wool pants in that tartan that i wear with a black wool blazer or long green wool coat for the holidays. I love the tartan plaids in fall/winter and madras plaids in spring/summer.
My dad used to wear his clan tartan kilt or his black watch kilt for many festive events. I loved it! At his funeral, all of the males in the family wore kilts! So, needless to say, we love our Scots ancestry! 😂😊😊

I have to say that in the one photo of her first look, just her face and the green hat reminds me of Vivian Leigh in Gone With the Wind.
Catherine is the reason I even tried a double breasted pea coat. Her red houndstooth coat made me go looking for my own. I found one in 2019, I think. Mine is black and white, or maybe cream, but it’s a staple of my winter wardrobe. If I’m needing a dressy coat, I can dress it up super easy. However, the coat, also, can go with jeans or legging, to elevate a pretty casual look into a bit more jazzed up. Before I added the pea coat into my winter wardrobe, I didn’t think a coat or jacket could make an outfit better. Most double breasted pea coats are an investment, but in my book, a very wise decision!
Hey Beebs! Loved these Christmas looks of Catherine’s! I too love the plaid fit and flare coat…and I REALLY loved both her 2021 Red Coat Dress with the Bow, which was the same style as the one she wore in black for Prince Phillip’s funeral. But I also LOVE the casual Christmas party look with the red tartan skirt, black sweater and boots…because it is definitely something I WOULD WEAR!! (Well, when I was a little thinner! 😢)
Just thought you might like to know, since it seems you didn’t remember…that Prince Louis was actually at Sandringham LAST year for the first time!!

Once again you are a fashion star of your own video, Beebs. My wife and I were discussing how well you wear the teals, lilacs, and other colors that not everybody knows how to wear without looking a bit off kilter because they haven't considered how careful you have to be with makeup, hair and failure to keep accessories to a minimum. Your ability to do for yourself what you teach others with your analysis brings real oomph to you videos. I remember an extraordinarily talented designer of costumes for old Hollywood productions who was nominated for untold Academy Awards and won an uncountable statuettes for her artistry and insight. But I have heard so many people comment on how she gave none of her genius to her own appearance! And it was so incongruous and took a bit away from the impact of her accomplishments. You, however, practice what you preach!

I didn't like the brown tweed coat look at all. I don't think that color or pattern would really suit anyone, it's just kind of "meh"? If that makes sense. I think my favorite was the red plaid skirt with the dark top (although that was only a picture, not mentioned on this list) . I think plaid is such a fun thing to do at Christmas, and red always looks amazing on her. What a fun review of holiday looks for the Princess! Merry Christmas to you and yours, Beebs!

I also loved the Black Watch tartan and the hat. The red coat that she has in green, both are gorgeous. I loved the big green boho looking hat. I really did like the tweed, esp with the color showing, I wish the hat had a red feather! I loved the big fur hat with that blue plaid, but sadly I did not like the coat at all.
As I'm sure you can tell, I am obsessed with hats. I would love to visit Queen Elizabeth's hats, they were so amazing.

The grey fur-trimmed coat with the green hat is my favourite and the runner-up is the mulberry outfit with the velvet hat for her first Christmas with the RF. Apologies if this sounds pedantic, but why are you using the term “fascinator” when she wore proper hats in each example? Fascinators were a fad around the time of the (then) Cambridges’ wedding and they were just bits of fluff and trim on a headband. They looked like an explosion of floof atop (mostly) young women’s heads. That fad has long passed and so should the term “fascinator”. Catherine wears various styles of hats and there is a wonderful blog called “Royal Hats” which has a whole page devoted to naming and giving examples of the many hat styles. It’s a great reference.
That coat reminds me of Queen Mary.
My favorite looks are her Dark green with fur, the olive green coat with the wide brim hat was so different it was striking, and the olive on Catherine with Charlotte’s maroon coat complimented each other perfectly. Also love her gorgeous wine red Christmas concert look and the burgundy/ plum coat with that unique slanted hat.

I think she is wearing coats in these winter/holiday outfits, not coat-dresses. She probably has a dress or skirt outfit under them, we just can’t always see much, if any, of them. This princess always looks great and I think she has made elegant, classic and modest dressing (I don’t mean in the religious sense, just in the decency sense), stylish again. I think she has influenced the world to dress better, and I’m grateful for that.

I love Catherine in plaids!!!
Catherine is tall and thin - model proportions which is why they choose that shape to showcase clothing - so looks good in everything. The vast majority of us mere mortals aren't so lucky and are shorter and curvier than this meaning items don't look as good on us as they do on those chosen to model them (and that includes Catherine for this purpose, like Kate Moss or Naomi Campbell she looks good in them all).
But my thoughts on the clothes from the first shown to the last are:
1 - would have been better if the edges of the coat met in the middle rather than wrap over, this style was popular in the 1940s (utility, less fabric used was almost certainly the reason) and actually does look good on almost anyone
2 - would be a good choice for anyone who can only afford 1 or maybe 2 coats in their wardrobe, the pattern is a lovely neutral that will go with anything and the style is shaped which looks good on most people as well. Curvier figures would be better in single breasted styles though as the double breasted style only really suits thinner, not-very-curvy figures
3 - not a favourite, mainly because those collars look great when it's dry but are very uncomfortable in the rain. Remember those fashions and they come round time after time but it's never been one I would wear again (once bitten twice shy)
4 - my friend has a coat like this, same colour as well. Looks fabulous on her but she is also tall and slender, a favourite style but you need to be tall to carry it off.
5 - not a fan, nice enough but she's worn far nicer coats than this in my opinion. She wears red a lot but it doesn't always suit her, she needs the cooler reds as the warmer ones simply don't suit her colouring
6 - nice, definitely looks good but again I suspect you need to be tall to get away with this style
7 - like the hat (am a fan of hats anyway), not so keen on the coat but the colour is nice
8 - nice colour, like the hat, my choice would have been a longer coat because that's warmer, churches are generally NOT very warm inside (they were a hardier breed a few centuries back, we're soft now).
9 - very similar in style to the 4th one you showed, again one that looks good on taller people which is a pity as it's a style I really like (I'm short, I've tried these styles over the years and they do NOT look good on short, curvy, figures
10 - don't like the collar and cuffs, and double breasted not a style I'm fond of either, I've never been straight enough (even when I was really skinny I was still too curvy for this style unfortunately) to wear it but the coat itself without the fur trim would be nice
11 - I like the fabric, I had that same pattern years ago as a lining in a coat mum made me, lovely and cheerful for winter but not a fan of the style itself. But the colours look good on her
12 - love this fabric* - I think Princess Anne has a coat in this, or very similar, fabric as well, it looks great on her as well - and I like the style. Very similar to nos. 4 and 9 and it suits her although I would have preferred this coat to have been slightly longer like the other two are. Full marks to the tailor for the almost perfect pattern matching, not something that's easy to do. I've never been a fan of a gap between the top of boots and the hem of a coat, it looks messy and cuts your silhouette up but that's a personal opinion. I see it a lot and it always makes be cringe inside when I see it.
Great video, much enjoyed and I think I'm going to try and copy the style of the 1st coat you showed up but with the front edges meeting in the middle rather than overlapping. I prefer that particular style and I suspect it will be better on anyone not quite as slender as Catherine is & who could do with less bulk around their middles
*would never wear this fabric, it is a military uniform fabric and as I've never been in the Black Watch I wouldn't consider it appropriate to wear their uniform (and yes, I did go so far as to get permission to wear the only two tartans I do wear from the head of the Clan in question, I was dubious as my connection goes back to my great great grandmother and I don't like it when people inappropriately wear tartans they have no connection with).

I love the red tartan skirt outfit. Tartan made a small comeback this autumn/winter, I got a “traditional tartan” skirt at Mango a few weeks ago that I love. With a sweater and knee-high boots they make a nice, unusual cold weather outfit, and can be warm, too (my Mango one is polyester, but there are some wool blends around)

I would place the green ensemble with the big rimmed hat a bit closer to the top but otherwise I agree with all choices !
There have been several times that Catherine's lovely long waist and her outfit clashed. The 2015 green Christmas coat was one of those times. The belted is way too high. But she did the belted-coat proud in 2019 in the gray coat with fur. It is my favorite. Although the plaid maternity coat is a close second because she looks like she is bubbling with joy and having a great time.
