    The extra stash weight is far more valuable to me than making a few caps, so I just keep dumping my extra stuff in the donation box.

    Best tip for vendors, do not do what the person who posted this video did. Do not hide a vendor somewhere in your camp just to get the V on the map. Nobody wants to go through your shelter, and another loading screen, just to see what useless things you have for sale. Put your vendor upfront, easy to see and near your camp spawn in point. Its bad enough having to wait for the game to spawn your camp fully in. Do not make someone go through another loading screen or make them have to spend a minute running around your camp just to find your vendor. I guarantee you that if you do either of those most people will just fast travel away.

    Personally, I list any and all ammo at 1 cap, fusion cores up to 50 caps (-15 caps per 25% charge missing), but the main thing I sell is legendary items. Here’s the thing, I sell them based on scrip, so for weapons I sell them for 25 caps per star and 15 caps per star for armor (unless they’re REALLY good rolls, then I’d sell them for about 500-2000 caps).

    • @mrman4358

    I often consider the prices in player stores just plain theft, even the higher level players. I started about a week ago and currently level 62 and managed to get about 7k caps, theres no chance im gonna spent 1,5k on a single item or plan and thats what I would guess were there less rare items. Those players that sell items between 50 to 150 caps are the real mvps. I even started selling duplicate plans for 25 caps, no more no less to help out anyone else that happens to need them. Excess junk is free as I only keep about 5lbs in weight in junk, cores 50 caps and any legendary weapons that I would consider using if I was build for at most 250 caps the rest either gets scrapped or sold. Honestly wish most players were more reasonable with their prices.

    Things in my vendor atm. Random good legendary weapons from events; ie good first star on a weapon people would actually use. Crafted legendary Fixers with a good 1 star effect. Prices either 333, 420, 666, or 777.
    Bobbleheads, comic books, and cheap chems.

    You can have high prices if two conditions are met. First, vendor visible from fast travel, no inside a building up the stairs after the nuka themed sex dungeon, definitely not in a shelter. Secondly, ammo for a cap. I’ll buy your 750 cap marsupial serum if I load in and see your vendor right away and you have what I want. I don’t want to play mall madness window shopping, I want to play fallout.

    • @laxpaint
      @laxpaint Před 3 měsíci +1

      I understand what you’re saying, but in fallout, you have to actually look around and find things when you arrive at a new location.
      If somebody spent a lot of time in effort on their camp, you should look around as if it was a new discovered location. You should marvel at the creativity and give the creator a thumbs up. I’ve seen lots of fantastic camps in the game. a spaceship, a giant robot, underground camps. I stop and take pictures. Why are you in a hurry?

    • @williamheitl8941
      @williamheitl8941 Před 3 měsíci +1

      Because some people don’t care how a base looks :p I can take a look at the base in some cases, but I also check the vendor and travel to the next one sometimes.
      And like stated earlier; A well designed base should have the vendor easy accessible. That will also encourage people to take a look, as they aren’t annoyed having to run around looking for the vendor. I’ve looked way to long for some, since the vendors have so many different skins.

    A good tip for helping players out is selling any bobbleheads/magazines you dont need/want. Collectors will always buy them if they need them and its a good way to help other players finish collectoons. I usually chuck them up for 10c each.
    You can also sell legendaries dirt cheap if you reach your daily scrip limit or you dont want them. Ive seen people buy a couple of mine i had for about 50c each and immediately hit up a station to scrap them.

    I tend to sell plans for a tenth of their suggested price. Really common ones for a cap. Obvious exceptions are things like Fixer plans, which I bought for 3.5k just before I had them drop, so I recouped my caps on them and it sold pretty fast. I find it irritating to fast travel to a camp and find, for example, the piano plans selling for 100 caps...Won't bother looking at the rest of the stuff on sale then....

  • @Jeffs40K
    @Jeffs40K Před měsícem

    I'm sorry but put your Vender outside, Preferably on north side of Camp where players will land at when traveling to you base, I do keep 1 in my Shelter with a storage box close but thats for me to Put stuff into my Vendor without Bothering players purchasing, (Another problem with Shelter venders, is it is easy to trap a Player in them, seen it many tiems, land in a rad shower and loose all my Rads which sucks for a bloody player, seen land on Pressure plate and a Rad Traps kill you) ... 2nd Advice if you really want to sell, have at least 2 vending machines, ive lost count of times Ive went to a base and some guys either afk or SLOW looking at goods, Make it so more than 1 can shop at a time, Make vending machines Visible, Dont hide them behind stuff, light it up ! If you dont like the look of Cash registers or etc, pick up some of the Other styles ... Next DO NOT sell Fatmans, they want sell and weight a ton ! Dont sell 20 crap guns for 500, Scrib them roll a good gun thats used widely, Fixers, Railway rifles etc with Quad, Bloody, Anti armors, etc and sell them for 5-20K depending on what the stars are. ... ARMORs that sells, is Unyielding, rest is crap and even unyielding isnt really that valuable since Secret Service, BoS, Covert (Non tradables are the best), as for AMMO dont waste time with Fusion or Plasma Cores, they are to easy to get and weight vs money made and time they sit in box is not worth it, as well Dont waste time selling crap ammo very few use. Most of the ammos you use will be ammos that sell, and you need it, there is to much other stuff to sell ... PLANS .. .these are good, But really only the RARE plans, from events, Daily ops, Raids etc, Dont sell common plans you find around the world. only newbies need them and they make very little caps for the space they take, Toss them in a newbie box near Wayward or Vault 76 for new players. this also goes for Event and etc Apparel, Apparel laying around world only a few are rare, be mindful, if its sitting on your vender a month, no one wants it, lower price or toss it. ... SCRAP isnt a huge seller, if you do try to sell it, make it into Bulk it weights less and easier to manage, Seriums are 200-500 a pop and with super duper can get multiple in a attempt, But the Recipe costs a ton, So thats up to you, it will take a long time to recoupe the Recipes cost. ... as for Ultracite armor plans from queen, they drop every fight, BUT, this said a couple of the Plans are extremely rare, like Emergency Protocols & Calibrated shocks will sell for a TON, I wish they would put stars on Plans for how rare they are, Common, Rare, Ultra rare. LoL ... FOOD, he is Correct Selling anything that rots is Not worth it and want sell for much also ... HELPFUL HINT: Players will travel to camps with MORE items before wste tiem with 1 with 4 Items generally, as well as a Variety of Types ... so sometiems its worth adding extra guns, Plans or etc that might not sell (always a chance), just to draw a player to your base, Even if he came to see 10 guns listed, you may only have 2-3 Thats good. at least got them there to look at those 2-3, that could make you 15K. ... Also remember you cap out at 40,000 Caps, so watch the number of caps, if your walking around with 30K and have 8 items selling for 15K, you will easy cap out and loose Caps, so go buy a Nice plan or item, from vender or player to get your caps down, it may be a item you see they sold for 5K you could get 10K for even.
