5:23 I’m pretty sure Hopkins was saying that he was scared of getting beat over the top, so the back shoulder was there. That isn’t the case in the end zone. But the receiver does have to look back.
Rasul beat AJ there but people don’t like that narrative…. even though it’s a feel good story considering Douglas was on the Cardinals practice squad right up until we signed him I believe. Packers needed a particular type of CB in a particular role, and Douglas fits that role perfectly. That’s why he put up 5 picks and 2TDs in the 12 games he played with us in 2021, and 4 picks as a regular player last season. He’s 6’2”, strong, and a ballhawk. We needed a corner who will take chances and jump routes when the pick is there, like Tramon Williams did for us during the 2010 SB run as the CB2.

I just thought the play was a terrible example of the point. It didnt look like AJ was looking for the ball and any corner at the NFL level is capable of taking advantage of that when they see the ball in the air. Great play, sure, but not one that silences many critics.

AJ Green totally could've come back a yard to make the catch without much of a contest from Rasul

to be honest, dez went up against a much better pass defense, i think detroit was ranked in the top 10 that year overall, as where dallas was ranked 2nd for most touchdown passes allowed and was 30 out of 32 on passing defense, in front of the eagles and vikings lol
lol Dallas was only giving up 30 more yards a game than Detroit. Besides Seattle absolutely killing the passing game. It wasn't a huge difference between teams after them. Only the top 3 gave up less than 200 yards a game

This video is just outrageous and I’ve only made it through 3 things. I’ve already left one about the 1st thing but the 3rd one. Now I actually loved Desean Jackson, and I’m saying that as a Cowboys fan. He was amazing all around but to say he gets shut down when the only passes McNabb could make were screen passes. He had one good pass that wasn’t a check down or a screen in that compilation of plays and it was still a little bit under thrown

Dez was not a precise route runner at all. He was criticized throughout his career... especially near the end with the limited route tree and sub par routes. This is coming from a life long dallas fan.

Wide receivers don’t play each other. They play against defenses. In 2013 Dallas defense was ranked 32nd out of 32 teams and ranked one of the worst defenses in NFL history.
DeSean Jackson didn’t “take a victory lap,” on that punt return touchdown. He ran across the goal line to look AND MAKE SURE TIME EXPIRED. 🙄 He also wasn’t at fault for McNabb’s horrible throws.
Megatron was great but that 2013 Dallas defense ranked dead last that year and gave up 400yards per game on average. They were lit up many times that year

Calvin's stat for yardage is the most in 4 quarters. The record was an overtime game.
1. Dez wasn’t even talking trash. He was saying how they are 2 different WR types and he believes he’s at the same level.
2. To say Dez didn’t come out on top after Calvin had 11 more catches and 1 less TD is crazy. I did the math on a calculator and if you did 72 divided by 3 you get 24 and then 24 multiplied by 14 is 336. That’s higher than 329. Not even acknowledging that fact. I understand that he wouldn’t get 24 each time but it’s an average. If he would have got those 14 catches it still would’ve been closer. Maybe not in receiving yards but he would’ve had way more TD’s. And for Calvin to get that many catches and yards and only get 1 TD is also crazy. I believe Calvin is a top 3 WR of all time but this game was just humiliating

In regards to the Lions/Cowboys game and Bryant vs. Johnson, the reason why Calvin Johnson had better stats, especially in that game, is because Matt Stafford had virtually no one else to throw to. Romo had Jason Witten, Miles Austin, Cole Beasley and DeMarco Murray. Unfair comparison to be honest.
